I have been to tons of Walmarts all over the country and no Walmart staff is as helpful and friendly as the staff at the Novi Walmart 2024. We impromptu bought 90% of all their bikes for a company party, and this lady employee saw us, and corralled all the employees that could help and made the whole situation simple and enjoyable! Everybody was so friendly the entire time. Today, 6/6/24, I stopped in and as I was walking out, a worker was leaving as well. As she walked to her car, she: stopped and helped a handicapped man who had dropped something, and yelled, "bless you" to a man who sneezed across the parking lot. No. Just no. Why do I even bother? Well, I do bother because I have a prepaid debit card from them. If you go there in person and pull up a barcode you can put money on it for free. No fees at all. And NOBODY has a freaking clue how to do this. I have been asked to come back at a later time/date, go to another Walmart or even pay the fees. I finally did go to another Walmart, who figured it out and told me what they have to do so I can tell other Walmart stores I'd necessary. The woman helping me this time kept giving up trying to deposit the money on the card. I would not take no for an answer and finally she got it right. I wish I could leave a positive review. But, on almost every level, this Walmart is quite awful. The customer experience is poor because of service and incompetency. On many occasions, the wait to check out is agonizingly long. When you reach the cashier, many are super slow, and show limited to zero interest in performing their job duties and helping customers. I have come across only a couple of staff members that have a customer-friendly attitude. But, the system is much to blame. They staff two cashiers for the entire store and allow lines and wait-times to build. Maybe, that is a reason why the couple people who are working feel too much strain and pressure to be able to be effective. There is usually only one person in the deli and there is no one visible to assist in the store as well. The store, itself, was designed decently and there was potential to make this a nice store. The selection is lacking, the store is filthy and unorganized, just stuff everywhere, can't get through the isles. Then when I asked another person to move their cart so I could get something on the shelf, I was screamed at and some words were spoken. Then security made me leave. I'm sure that the fact that I was with my wife (I am lgbtq+) and I was wearing goth makeup had nothing to do with the reason I was assaulted or asked to leave. Hit or miss at Walmart tonight. Some shelves were well stocked and tidy. Other shelves had big holes in them where merchandise wasn't displayed. The store was bright and clean and it's a decent Walmart otherwise. Compared to the Walmart stores in LA, this location is way less crowded!!! Never a line at any cash registers. Many staffs are working on the floor. Terrible customer service stood in line 3-4 mins while one worker was on the phone. The other stared at me and my boyfriend. I got tired of carrying my diaper bag cause im tiny and i set it down on the counter and then she decides to help i came to return an Apple Pencil bought a day ago she pulls the pencil out and looks for a secrial number on the pencil shes young so obviously she should know its on the box not the pencil she doesn't check the box or receipt just denies the return. Went to another Walmart they returned it right away. Rude disrespectful, disgusting service at this location in novi you have the best workers greetings people the worst ones ever at customer service desk do better. Was at the Novi Walmart on 02/10/24 and stopped at the pharmacy to ask the pharmacist a question about a medication I was taking because I wasn't feeling well. Talk about unprofessional!!! She asked me what was wrong and instead of coming to the counter to help, she stood behind her little station and I had to yell out to her what the problem was for all to hear. Talk about lazy and unprofessional......will never get a script filled there again! Neither will my family and friends! My experience with Walmarts in general have been meh BUT this location has me super impressed! It lives up to its name of being a supercenter - Huge selection of all things one would expect to find in a store like Walmart and then some MORE. I frequently come here to get our weekly stash of fruits, avocados and vegetables. Now if you're looking for top notch organic stuff this place might not be for you but if conventional produce works then you will be quite happy with the quality and price here! Should I decide to shop for the house, groceries, personal care items, beauty products, apparel, etc. I know I'm covered which saves me having to make another trip to another store. Employees are around generally speaking and very helpful in case you are unable to find something. We almost always do a self checkout (very comfortable with that) since the cashier counters are very few. Then again I've noticed it to be the same in several other similar stores in the area, Kroger included. In a nutshell - love shopping here! read more

This is my Walmart of choice because it's less than 2 miles from my house. With that being said, I am disappointed that it's a smaller store. They don't carry as many products or offer as much variety as larger supercenters. The lines here also get out of control. Three cashiers with 10 people in each line. I think not. Thank goodness for the self checkout lanes. This was pushed to a three star rating because Walmart usually offers the best prices on groceries. This Walmart is literally the worst I've ever been to in my entire life. They staff just doesn't care, it's never stocked the app will say they have items then you get there to find out it's not on the shelf, you ask an associate for help and back to my first point that they don't care. The product that is out on the shelf is never in the correct place, so you take it up the the register and get shocked when the price is higher, then back to my original statement that the staff doesn't care so they refuse to price match for their mistake. This store is run like a chicken with it's head cut off. No. One knows what the other is doing. Never place an order online and asked for it to be assembled. If you do you will be so frustrated, you will want to pull your hair out. I ordered a bike online but before I did so a called this store to ask the procedure. I followed it they did not! Terrible delivery service here! I have ordered $300 from Kroger without issues and this Walmart can't get a few cases of water right! I was missing items i was charged for and then I had ridiculously way off substitutions (which I said they could contact me about while still shopping but they didnt). The delivery person couldn't carry in the water because they had a knee replacement and the person accepting the order was 7 months pregnant so we had to get outsiders to help carry to in. Ruth the "new manager" of this department called me and offered nothing more than an "you got a refund it's all correct" "reassurance" not even an offer for future free delivery fee or anything. My daughter and I come into this pharmacy all the time. The pharmacist knows us very well even remembers our name. Since my daughters medication is very expansive and not covered by insurance I have to pay out of pocket. The last time I went the pharmacist had found a coupon for our medication. I almost cried being a single mom with a kid who has an autoimmune disorder can be very stressful. Basically my least favorite store out there. On the rare occasion that I actually have to go into this store I am met with the worst customer service. Not enough employees for a store of this size either, which means long lines even at the customer service area. Also-be extra careful when ordering anything online. They sell items from other companies on their site and even though it's sold on their site, it is not an actual Walmart item. Found this out after waiting in a LONG line at customer service when I was told they couldn't help me and I had to call the actual company I purchased it from to set up a refund. And now I have another return for something I purchased online. Again this is not a Walmart item and when I tried to return it I was charged the full shipping fee plus an $8 restocking fee, for flameless candles ??? I paid $40 and am getting back $26. 3.5 stars Occasionally I come here at odd times (early morning or late evening) to pick up groceries. I try not to support Wally World for a variety of reasons but when they're across the street and open 24 hours it's hard to pass from time to time. Rated mainly for its cleanliness and chic outdoors. But it's still a Walmart. I don't recommend coming here often because it tends to be overpriced. And cilantro is almost always sold out. I was craving homemade salsa dang it! Is very rude some customers and I were talking and she butted in our conversation saying, " obviously I'm the only one here" and when I said I will call corporate and she said "call them." The women in sales and the cashiers at this store are very rude. They act like it's an inconvenience to help the customers with anything, and don't, if they can keep from it.
