I have been waiting for over an hour to get my pickup order. There was such a backup that the cars were in a line waiting for a spot. I am on the clock and just wasting time waiting. I have never have never had to wait like this and never at Target. They are very punctual and fast; whatever method Walmart is using needs to find a better way. I saw some bad reviews of this store, but honestly, our experience was good. The coffee section featured lot is variety, including our favorite, Tim Horton. Like most grocery stops, we left the store with much more in our cart than the two item s that brought us there! As we left the store, we chatted with the doorman; he's was pleasant guy. Purchased a shoe rack today, broken pieces, trash in the box, everything ripped open! I go to return and the lady is rude and the manager offered a 10% discount because I explained i have to drive 30 min to get there. Had to drive an extra drive to take it back! I ordered groceries to be delivered from this location. The order was going to be delayed, and I had a time conflict- so I cancelled the order and rescheduled it for pick-up the next day. I called to confirm that I had done everything correctly. Erica answered the phone. She was so appreciative that I called to prevent a problem. She checked everything for me - and was very helpful. The next day when I picked up the order, Erica brought out my groceries. She introduced herself and apologized for the delay from the night before. She was so friendly while making sure my order was correct and loading my car. I wanted to leave her a tip for being so helpful but she said she couldn't accept it. She was just genuinely happy to help a customer. It is rare to find an employee who is so professional, efficient, and kind. Encounters with employees like Erica make the shopping experience a pleasure. I know Erica isn't looking for recognition or reward, but I hope she knows that customers like me truly appreciate her personal attention to detail and positive attitude. Thanks, Erica! Who is cleaning the carts?? I had the opportunity to sit (stand, really) for about an hour this afternoon and watch to see if the carts were cleaned.... Nope. If infected air from coughing and sneezing wasn't an infection vector, handling the carts would be. People were left to fend for themselves to clean the carts themselves, a bottle of disinfectant was left at the cart station. But that's assuming the bottle wasn't empty or diluted with water. (I usually find that the wipe dispenser is empty. Sometimes there are no bottles there, but when there is one, they're sometimes empty and when they're not, I can't tell if they have straight chemicals or they've been diluted beyond effectiveness.) Not to mention, if the bottle and handle wasn't clean (disinfected) to begin with, once you spray down the cart, your hands are now dirty from touching the contaminated handle and you basically re-contaminated the cart (negating any action you did to clean it) once you go on your way and your hands are an infection vector now. The store was hardcore in the earlier days of the pandemic, they've slacked as far as having a clean environment. I don't know what they're doing in disinfecting the store, the aisles, the common places people may touch, etc... read more

Usually I find this Walmart to be an ok shopping experience. Not outstanding, but more than adequate, and it is usually fairly clean. Today, was absolutely awful. I went in to get a new phone case, which were all kept behind glass. I picked out the two I was between, and asked an employee to open the case for me. They were a bit slow, but that is no big deal. They rang me up there and the price came to $26.88. It was sitting on the rack marked $17.00. The employee recognized this and tried to scan the code on the rack. It wouldn't come up, so she had to get a manager. The manager was the rudest employee I have ever dealt with. He asked me to show him where it was, and claimed I moved it there. (It was behind glass!) I pointed out that the only people with keys were the employees. He then loudly exclaimed, "WELL IF YOU'RE GOING TO CAUSE A SCENE, I'LL JUST GIVE YOU THE $17.00 PRICE." I said thanks, and was going to leave it at that. As he was finishing checking us out, he looked me in the eye and said "Next time you're going to cause a scene like that, at least have the facts straight first, and don't raise you're voice." I stood there mouth agape that an employee, and a manager at that would try to reprimand a customer that had been nothing but nice to his employees. I am EXTREMELY disappointed that common decency was failed by this manager. read more

VISION CENTER *1 Rating: I appreciate the military discount, other than that the below is the truth and how it all went down.... This complaint is for my visit at the Walmart store in Lexington, South Carolina. I have used this Walmart Vision Center for approximately 3 to 4 years to renew my eye prescription yearly, the first year I used them customer service was great William is the manager. My second/ third time I visited the vision center, Brittany the tech has helped me. She has been rude unfriendly, unkind, and made a nasty remark to me about me not being friendly to her. Why because I demanded her to her job, and what ever happened to customer service which includes a GREETING. Simply asked, why do you have a attitude every time I come into store?? As a custumer I should not have to deal with lazy young adults who hate there career choice. I will no longer be using this Walmart Vision Center to renew my prescription due to the lack of customer service skills, unfriendliness, and horrible customer service. I have not contacted William the manager because I complained last yr and he blew it off. As a business owner I would never have this type of representation in my store. They clearly don't care, she quickly let me know that William is the manger and the store isn't owned by Walmart...its privately owned. Ok, so what does that mean concerning customer service??? Tip: Teach your employees how to be kind, and send them all to customer service training. I will be sending this to head quarters of Walmart. read more

I ordered a tray of chicken tenders from the deli 5 days ago and was assured that by ordering ahead they would be available on Christmas Eve. A deli employee, Octavia, called and canceled the order this morning, the day I was to pick it up, due to unavailability. When I tried to express that I was unhappy about the situation, she rudely said "I didn't do it" and hung up on me. With COVID going around the restrooms need to be on top priority with cleaning service! Already a bad experience at this place. Why isn't there negative stars?? The sign on the door says that masks are required but it isn't enforced for customers. What about the employees?? I make the mistake of shopping on Saturday. The store was filled with customers and "pickers". II ran across a young female picking someone's order. She was not wearing her mask over her nose and mouth. When I said something to her she said she has a small face and they "don't fit" and she was wearing a child's mask. I told her she really should wear it properly. She told me that IF I DIDN'T LIKE, I SHOULD SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE. I didn't think I heard her correctly and asked her to repeat what she said ...I heard correctly and told her I would shop some where else. I was livid After paying for my purchase - not really sure why I bothered to buy these things. I approached the customer service and explained what happened to the front end manager. Other than saying she shouldn't have said that -she offered no other input. I walked out and called Walmart Customer Service and explained what happened. I am now waiting for a response from the store manager and will post if he ever replies. Here is the thing --this is what I saw in the store. This is the person handling all the products that you purchased online. You are taking the precaution by not venturing out to the store but the person filling your order could careless about taking the appropriate measures for COVID. I'm reviewing the order pickup service. It's a joke. Don't do it! I know the prices are lower than most everywhere else but my time is important too. Just don't waste your time AND money. The past two times I've done a pickup order the substitute items were LESS than the items I was paying for. Even a 6th grader would know how to get items that are closer to the price of the items I ordered. Example: I ordered a 4 pack of Dove soap for 4.97. They substituted 2 bars of .97 dove soap. The bars were smaller that the ones in the 4 pack. So WHY DIDN'T THE PERSON GIVE ME 5 BARS OF SOAP INSTEAD? This happened to another item in my order. I had to call and spent 25 minutes sorting it out. I did finally get my refund for the difference. Another thing that happened while picking up. The employee came out with my order and I asked him a question. Before putting my items in the car he stepped away to ask someone else for the answer. HE NEVER CAME BACK! I packed my own items in my car returned the cart to the door and left. Don't do it! It's not worth the aggravation! read more

Curb-side pickup is a joke at this store. Disorganized and very poorly supervised. I had received an email AND text that my single-item purchase was ready and available. After a 30-minute drive to the store and parking in one of the designated spots, I called the number on the sign to "check in." Gave my last name and "bay" identifier. I waited for 30 minutes and then called to check on my order. Was told that I had never checked in. Asked to speak with a supervisor. Was told that a cell-phone caller would not be transferred to a manager. A following call was answered by a rude, antagonistic, and entitled call-taker. I finally called Customer Service, provided my name and phone number, and was told that the information would be hand-carried to the "OGM manager" (whatever that is). I never received a call. I went home and ordered a more expensive but better item from Amazon. THEY don't verbally attack their customers and have good Customer Service. I will NEVER, EVER shop Walmart again. I will recommend the same to everyone within my sphere of influence. read more

Walmart is such a necessary evil to everyday life. The problem with this particular store is they are usually out of that random item you know only Walmart carries. Having said that, they recently completed a massive renovation with self checkout, a new paint job, etc. Overall it seems this particular store is getting better. Not one to usually post reviews but the Lexington Walmart has really gone downhill. Customer service is no longer a prioriry. Locking the doors early and only self check out lines opened. One speed check out. Manager on duty rude about it said safety precautions but you dont see anyone sanitizing carts or wearing mask. This is possibly the worst company to order from online. I ordered a couple of sets of dumbbells just before the pandemic hit. They said was in stock and shipping was 2 weeks out. They never updated my shipping during this time and customer service said everything is fine. Then day of delivery, the order is delayed. Customer service says they don't have the ability to contact warehouse to find out why? What the? Why have a customer service department that does nothing different than your app? Waste of manpower. They send message to upper management. They never call me just send a email that's it's out of stock. What the what? It was in stock when I ordered it. So are you are overselling product you don't have? Not so. It turns out during this two week wait, Walmart had been shipping multiple dumbbells to all Walmart stores instead of fulfilling orders online. I know this because through my local Walmart, I tracked the trucks coming in and picked up some of my orders myself (because I didn't trust online). So instead of fulfilling actual orders online, they decided it was more cost effective to ship to stores (BTW option to ship to store for customer unavailable). The store itself was awesome! The food looked fresh and it was pretty clean. The only reason I'm scoring it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the older lady that helped me get a dressing room scared the crap out of me. I couldn't understand half of what she was saying and she kept getting awkwardly close to me mentioning weird things about not wanting to be at a party anymore and some mom shoving her kid in the dressing room and suing the store! Walmarts are pretty much the same everywhere you go. There really is nothing special about this particular Walmart other than it's right down the road and open 24 hours. Although the night shift here seems to walk around like zombies but I don't blame them I probably would too. If I could give a zero I would! I just waited at the grocery pickup for an hour and no one even spoke to me! I ordered online yesterday, with a pickup window of 3 to 4pm. I checked in online and arrived at 350pm with my toddler in tow, which is the reason I use grocery pickup in the fitst place. I waited until 455pm without my groceries and a screaming toddler! I will NEVER use this service again...thanks for reminding me why I hate Walmart!! I expect a full refund for the groceries I already paid for but never received. read more

It sucks..if u come in at night they close all the registers and you have to check yourself out. Not a problem unless you do your grocery shopping at night. They wont open a register to help you out, they just stand around and watch you do their job. I think its ridiculous to have all those registers if no one is gonna run them. I would give this store a zero if this site allowed it. This is one of the busiest stores probably in the immediate area. Unfortunately, it is also one of the worst stores I have ever shopped at! They never keep this store stocked! Knowing this is one of the busiest stores around why wouldn't you keep it stocked? It's sort of a no-brainer. It does no good to complain to the management because they never ever do anything about it. I cannot count the number of times I have been in this store over the last 15 or so years and come out with nothing. Usually I have to go to Irmo to get anything that I want although I live in the town of Lexington. I honestly wish they would close this Walmart because they are not going to do any better than they are doing now. If you need something on your list don't go here because you will never get it. When you complain to management all they do is try to pacify you. I hate to see people lose their jobs but I honestly do hope this Walmart goes out of business. read more
