I remember this joint from when I lived in Lexington in the late 90s and I am happy to report that the ambiance and value continues to be fantastic under the Mathias family's charge. I live in Hawaii. One of the local customs involves buying/giving gifts to friends and family when traveling outside the islands. Locally/regionally made items are generally ideal gifts for this purpose. For visitors, Four Oaks Farm offers a fantastic selection of locally produced items to satisfy every gift-buyer's and gift-getter's wants and needs - such as jams and jellies, bbq sauces (of course), hot sauces, salsas, salad dressings, salty snacks, sweet snacks, etc. For locals, Four Oaks Farm is a great place, in general, to shop to feed a family - as they also offer a varied selections of meats such as ham, bacon, sausage, etc. As I have noted, this place is fantastic, but the topper is the staff and service that they offer their customers. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, and this is the southern experience that I miss living in Hawaii. We have aloha, but South Carolina has charm. read more

I visited your store today for the first time. I absolutely loved it! The selection of merchandise was impressive. I can't wait to try the sausage and bacon! My boyfriend tried the pepper relish I bought him and said it was delicious! Everyone in the store was friendly and helpful, too. My only complaint is I wish you were closer! I live in Pageland, SC. It was an hour and 35 minute drive, but worth the trip. Highly recommend this store. I will be back! read more

Four Oaks Farm is a lovely place and I'm so glad to have it local! I was advised by many people in the area to visit Four Oaks Farm as I was looking to create a "South Carolina made" gift basket for multiple family members for the holidays. I am so glad that this was recommended to me as it was perfect! Everything that I picked up from the store was spectacular. The items that I picked out were priced fairly and I couldn't be happier with the selection. I even picked up a few things for myself that I sampled at home and everything I tried was delicious! I did have a small issue with one of the items when I got home, but after contacting the store over the phone they made it right and then some. They went above and beyond my expectations and have gained a customer for life. While in the store, I worked with a man at the meat counter named David. David was phenomenal and extremely helpful. Later at the register, I was told that David was a partial owner of the store. With great leadership like that, I can see why the store is as great as it is. I will definitely return and will be doing my holiday and gift shopping at Four Oaks Farm for many years to come. read more

I visited this establishment for the first time. It's a busy store. They sell candy, jams, baked products, ham and other assorted stuff. The prices are on the high side. The cashier I had was friendly. I bought a few things for holiday gifts. It's an OK place. I probably won't be back. read more

This place has been a staple for any holiday meal in my family for as long as I can remember. I visited today to get a few things for our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. There is some of the best onion sausage available here to take home and eat a very hearty country breakfast from Four Oaks. I would have to say they specialize in all sorts of southern meats like scrapple and liver pudding. It may sound gross to all you Yankees out there but it's really quite delicious. If liver pudding is not your cup of tea you can get country ham and real thick slices of bacon, so definitely bring home the bacon. Moving away from all the meats you can find jams and jells that are from S.C farms. Next time I'm going to have to try some of their ice cream and key lime cookies. When I'm in Lexington this place is one of my favorite places to come and try foods your grandparents use to eat and put the south in your mouth for sure! read more

Love this place. When you cook their bacon the smell alone lets you know how pure the ingredients are. Wonderful produce, Clemson Blue Cheese, pancake mix are some of my favorites. Got rib end pork chops cut yesterday. Can't wait to grill them. They were perfect. I couldn't believe it was pork. It tasted like a steak with the fat content and superior cut. read more

This is a great little place to get some local fare and if you are there you must try the onion sausage, it is excellent. They have a huge selection of picked items and I am a big fan of the pickled beet eggs. read more

This is a very unique "country" store that has a lot of interesting items to offer. There were a number of types and cuts of fresh meat available, what appeared to be premium cheeses for selection, and vegetables as well. There were some large bins full of candy and assorted treats that you would expect at a country general store. They also had an assortment of home decor items available. read more

This little store is great for all things South Carolina. Fruits, veggies, meat all raised in South Carolina. My favorite thing is that more than half the store is chocolates and candies. Prices are high but local items tend to be more pricey. Local service is the best though the ladies in there are super sweet. read more

We always get our Christmas ham from here. They even ship if you can't make the drive over to Lexington. If you don't want the whole uncooked country ham, you can get a half ham and they will cut off and include the ham hock with the order. Four Oaks Farms is a West Columbia staple. From your holiday gift sets w/ pecans, sausages, etc., to the fresh produce this place is great. Love their grits. I'll get the yellow and white and mix them together. They're country ham is the best ever. Love the onion sausage and BBQ too. Their pepper vinegar bbq sauce is fire! It's so good.
