I've made 6 batches with meat from 5 different places, and my cuts from Ole Timey Meats were the fan favorite by a long shot. Of the five different butchers I visited here locally, this place is the only place that knew exactly what to do when I asked for my meat cut "for jerky"...three places all looked at me like I had 9 eyes and one place told me they wouldn't cut meat to order. Ole Timey Meats is the most expensive of the places I checked out, but for the far superior taste, texture, and ease of service, I am more than willing to pay that little extra bit. You get what you pay for! Their prices are absolutely reasonable, so don't think that because they're the most expensive that it means they're TOO expensive. Not the case at all. Staff has been really nice every time I've been, they're helpful, and knowledgeable. They have a TON of different barbecue sauces, marinades, seasonings, spices, and other little goodies that it'll make any meat enthusiast giddy! They offer some really fairly priced packages of meats and a bunch of great seafoods, too. Ole Timey Meats has gained a loyal customer from me!
