Wholly Smokin' Downtown - The deviled eggs were amazing!!! All our entrees were great, and the cinnamon cheese cake to die for!

I had the pulled chicken platter with lima beans and corn, plus a side of fried okra. Anjelina had the small pulled pork platter with slaw and the lima beans and corn. The food was DELICIOUS. Both the pulled chicken and pulled pork were tender, well cooked and full of flavor. The sauces were particularly good. The Kansas City style was sweet and savory, while the Carolina mustard sauce was tangy with just enough kick. Both were excellent with the barbecue. As usual, dining out for us requires a little more homework than simply deciding what sounds good. Between the two of us, we bring a tree nut allergy, Alpha-Gal syndrome, a gluten allergy and dairy sensitivity to the table -- with diabetes thrown in as the kicker, just in case ordering dinner was getting too easy. Our waiter seemed to genuinely understand the allergy issues and was confident in the restaurant's ability to accommodate them. He was friendly, helpful and made us comfortable with our choices. When you're dealing with actual food allergies, that confidence and knowledge matter. The dining room was spacious, clean and had a good casual barbecue atmosphere. There was also a live band playing while we were there, which we weren't expecting but ended up really enjoying. They were good, although the music made things a little loud. Wholly Smokin' works well for a casual date, getting together with friends or just a good everyday meal. I'd also be comfortable using it for a casual business lunch or dinner, although the live music could make conversation more difficult depending on when you visit. Good barbecue, excellent sauces, friendly service and a positive experience navigating our somewhat ridiculous collection of dietary restrictions. We'd happily eat here again.

Cute decor except the bathroom( can only speak to ladies') needs fresh paint from the doors to the floors! We had a "mop" rice, chicken and sausage and a pulled pork platter. Good food fast! You literally can go shopping! I was so stoked I didn't take 1 picture. Super crazy, right?! Anyway, after fueling up, you can check out the stores' branded merchandise, grab yourself a bite to eat, shop for clothes such as beach wear or just regular outfits if you're heading down to Myrtle Beach. It is filled with so many items that can lead to an all-day event! The customer service was awesome. We were greeted with friendly faces and smiles. We even met some great people who were traveling from another state who invited us to their upcoming wine event next year in Virginia: This is overall a great place, so if you have never been, here's your chance. You will love it! Next time I will remember to calm down from excitement and pull out my phone, haha.

I stopped into Woodstone to grab a vegetable plate to help my mama ease back into eating after a nine day ordeal where she had to be hospitalized and when I tell you, my little sweet friend took care of me? He was so super spiritual that he understood the assignment when that receipt came out with the number 6-6-6 as my order number and I said no baby you're gonna have to put a sweet tea on that and he did just that so order number 670 up. When I tell you we had that hotel room popping everybody was wondering what were we eating and I could not wait to let them know. Get your butt down to Woodstone and get yourself some of that Chicken Bog, Lima Beans, that Rice and that BBQ Chicken and Fried Okra. Now don't get me wrong, my favorite time to eat at Woodstone is when I'm with my family and we are sitting there eating at the buffet - baby that's when the plates are full, but because mama was looking a little tired, we took it back down to the resting place, but I promise you the very next time we're down in Florence look for me because I'mma be in there. Get yourself down to Woodstone and tell him Tina sent you

Placed our order and waited (not long). While waiting, overheard a request for a bag of fatback. After further investigation, Woodstone also sells skins. Add a bag with hot sauce to my order! Can't eat them everyday, but trust, they were crunchy deliciousness in a bag! My meal of BBQ ribs, mac & cheese, cabbage, chicken bawg and hush puppies was soo good! Standout stars were the perfectly steamed cabbage and well seasoned chicken bawg! Portion size will enable me to have 3 meals. I was so excited about those dawg-on skins, I forgot to order dessert. Note to self, meal, skins and dessert next time.
