Oh, my! Being in Buc-ee's was insane. I could have stayed in this store for a whole day and still visit the next day, haha.This store has everything! It isn't just a gas station. You literally can go shopping! I was so stoked I didn't take 1 picture. Super crazy, right?! Anyway, after fueling up, you can check out the stores' branded merchandise, grab yourself a bite to eat, shop for clothes such as beach wear or just regular outfits if you're heading down to Myrtle Beach. It is filled with so many items that can lead to an all-day event! The customer service was awesome. We were greeted with friendly faces and smiles. We even met some great people who were traveling from another state who invited us to their upcoming wine event next year in Virginia: This is overall a great place, so if you have never been, here's your chance. Brisket and other sandwiches, and little plastic cups of banana pudding. You're at an overstimulating traffic stop whose soda fountain sizes are large and extra large. This is the first Buc-ee's off I-95 and the crowds are crazy, but at least you can park your RV. Though posted signs say trucks and trailers are not allowed, you do have diesel in that extreme fuel island. The staff were kind and went out of their way restocking brisket sandwiches and other goods without elbowing through the demanding crowd. Ample parking, ample bathrooms, cold drinks, and fuel, fuel, fuel. Don't expect peace, but all the amenities are here. read more

This is an amazing place. I was so over stimulated the second I walked in the door. I didn't know where to go first. There were people EVERYWHERE. Hot and cold food, sandwiches, sweets, drinks, treats, snacks, literally any And ever you could ever want in a travel shop/gas station. There were about 75+ gas pumps!!! The pros are: it's clean, workers are friendly, it's neat, it's organized, the restrooms are immaculately clean, it's spacious, prices are good, they have an abundance of everything they sell. So many unique things here at Buc-ee's. I wanted to love it and for the most part I did. The store itself was awesome. It's a great tourist attraction. We did try some of the food the brisket sandwich was good it was just missing some tangy coleslaw. Bought 3 chicken boxes with fries and it was so expensive and soooooo salty. The tenders were not great and the fries were like douched in salt. For $60 without gas it was mediocre at best. I'll be stopping by the Daytona Beach location soon but I won't try the food. Seems like food places nowadays do not believe in holding back the salt. Which is so disappointing and a waste of money most times. I enjoy all the decor and merchandise. I hated it here. There were just way too many people, and it honestly triggered my anxiety. I couldn't enjoy anything. Shopping was impossible because no matter which direction I turned, I was shoulder to shoulder with people. I desperately needed to use the restroom, but the line stretched from the back of the store all the way to the front. I gave up and found somewhere else to relieve myself. My son grabbed a bag of teriyaki beef jerky, and while the checkout line for that one item moved fairly quickly, we still waited 8-10 minutes. My first visit to Buc-ee's was a total turnoff. Very crowded but a good stop to refresh , fill your gas tank and grab come goodies and logo merchandise inside. Then I was amazed at the prices for the bag of ice as well as how generous they are with their employee wages that they show. We made it to Buc-ees!!!!! Our first time here! I made a stop at Buc-ee's with my 8-year-old grandson and 2 baby Granddaughters, and let me tell you--it turned into a whole adventure! It wasn't long enough of a visit since the girls and their mom stayed in the car! GRRR.. From a grandma's perspective, the first thing I noticed was how clean and well-kept everything was. The restrooms? Absolutely spotless--honestly better than some hotels I've stayed in. There were green and red lights on the outside of each stall to let you know which stalls were available and which were occupied. The lines moved very quickly. That alone makes it worth the stop when you're traveling with kids. Now, for my grandson, this place was like walking into a wonderland. His eyes lit up the second we walked in. Between the rows of snacks, the huge drink stations, and all the fun Buc-ee's merchandise, he didn't know where to look first. He was especially fascinated with the Toy section there were so many to chose from. It was a Saturday so this place was very busy. I heard Al Roker from the Today show praise the brisket sandwiches. I also wanted one but the wait was too long. We ended up grabbing some treats--beaver nuggets (of course!), 3 slushies,beef jerkey, candy bars, chocolate covered pretzels, and a couple of souvenirs magnets, t-shirts, Buc-ees water bottle and a Buc-ees tumbler he insisted we "had to have." I appreciated that there were plenty of options, whether you want something indulgent or a quick, decent meal on the go. What really stood out to me was how easy everything felt, even with a little curious little boy in tow. I've been to 2 different Buc-ee's in Texas and neither was as busy as this one in Florence , South Carolina. We even had a large group of Army Soldiers come in and buy a bunch of food. I'm a Veteran myself , so it was good to see. I took my niece and sister today who had never been to one and really wanted to check one out. Of course they bought their share of cups , t-shirts , snacks and such. I got a South Carolina Gamecocks t-shirt and a S.C. key ring. After looking at a bunch in Myrtle Beach I found one here I really liked. We also got 3 sandwiches , 2 Club Melts and one Pulled Pork Sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich was better than the one I had in Texas and it had more of a smoky taste. The Club Melt with turkey, bacon, ham, cheese and spicy mayonnaise was really good. I stopped here on the way back and got a brisket sandwich and glazed pecans. I also picked up some cheddar puffs for my daughter per her request. I looked for a long time and couldn't find them. They were not on the chip isle or on the ends. Luckily I saw a lady with some in her hand and she showed me where they were( on a small display ) I wanted to get a praline from the fudge area but there was only one person working in that area and the line was too long the whole time I was there. This was our first time visiting this location. I have been to several other locations in Texas and Georgia, and it is always fun to visit. This is located in Florence, SC. We loved it! We could easily spend an hour or two here and still not see everything. It was busy when we visited, but the staff were very helpful and energetic. Everything was fairly well organized and clearly separated. If you can't find something, you can always ask one of the staff members. They are very helpful. They go out of their way to point out for you and help you find more. There are sandwiches, snacks, and drinks if you're hungry, perfect to grab and take on the road. There are also restrooms and a gas station. Anything you need, you can probably find here. It's a great rest stop when you're traveling. Kids love coming here. It's almost like Disneyland! This is one of our mandatory stops whenever we're driving through the I-95. It's the perfect place to get refreshed, relieved, and refueled. Many gas pumps, ample parking all around (including EV charging stations), well lit inside & out, fresh/hot food, a variety of beverages, a plethora of merch, clean/spacious restrooms, and all available 24/7. The attendants here are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and courteous. There are 2 entrances but we've discovered that the entrance off to the side gets closed down around 10pm. Also, something to note is that there are no water fountains, so if you wanted to refill your own water bottle, you'd have to pay $1.99 refill fee. However, you could simply purchase their largest cup (99¢). We were initially upset to hear we had to make a purchase even just to get water, but we can totally understand how people can abuse a "free refill" policy. The food is great! They've got everything from brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken/veggie fajitas/burritos, jerky, pastries, fudge, and prepackaged salads/protein kits. Their beverages consist of fountain soda (including some unique flavors), coffee, and slushies. With regards to their merch, they sell almost anything and everything. There are many things you can use for the outdoors and/or camping. They've also got a lot of knick knacks, home goods, books, toys, clothing, shoes, as well as some seasonal items. What in the fever dream even is Buc-ee's! By now, it feels everyone is familiar with this iconic pit stop, there is a HUGE cult following and central VA will be getting one soon. On a recent road trip home from Charleston, we decided to stop at Buc-ee's for gas and to see what the buzz was all about. We were there on a Sunday and IT WAS PACKED! It was the most overstimulating parts of my day in a funny way. There was chaos in the bathroom line, a cacophony of sounds including the word Buc-ee, and a bunch of Buc-ee themed items. Did I have fun? Yes, I think I did. We met Mr. Buc-ee himself (in a mascot costume) and got free stickers. I decided to get the Overbite (a 1/4 pound chocolate medallion filled with cookies and cream OR peanut butter). My fiancé got the brisket burrito and it was really yummy. There were people in the center in cowboy hats chopping brisket. There was Buc-ees merch all over. It was a gas station on steroids with a theme park vibe. This location looks just like other locations on the inside and was filled with customers. I browsed the aisles and spotted some cool merchandise and picked up a few items. Seeing the food got me hungry so I decided to have lunch. I got a Big Buckin' Brisket, Beaver chips, Banana Pudding and Chicken and Fries. The Brisket was nice and soft and delicious. The beaver Chips were crispy at the top and as I got to the bottom they were getting limp. The chicken and fries were really good. Seasoned just right and crispy. The banana pudding was bland to me. There are so many individual stalls (with real doors) that you never have to wait. Buc-ee's has many food options, definitely something for everyone. Burritos with tortillas made in store, a jerky bar, candy, two entire aisles full of chips and other snacks. There are salads, all types of fruit cups, cheese cubes, a bakery, dozens of flavors of fudge made in-store. I highly recommend picking up a delicious chocolate peanut butter candy called Overbite. There are so many sections of merchandise you could spend all day shopping. There are several clothing sections, a section for pet products, unique decor, wall art, bar ware and kitchenware. Throughout the store there are Buc-ee Beaver shirts, toys, bags, and basically everything you could image that a beaver head could possibly featured on. I was not prepared. I was never prepared. I've always wondered about the talk surrounding Buc-ee's. People I've come across talked so highly of it. Many of their customers are fans to the point of devotion. I finally was able to experience a 'typical' Buc-ee's visit while en route to Atlanta for Labor Day weekend. My friend, Neal, and I traveled to ATL to once again see our alma mater, Virginia Tech, play football against South Carolina. Once again, we left a Hokie football game disappointed. But we felt the opposite when we left the Florence, SC Buc-ee's. The one thing I always heard about Buc-ee's - they are huge. I just didn't know they were that big. This Buc-ee's location was like an amusement park with gas pumps. There are also charging stations for electric cars, which meant the parking lot alone was massive. We parked at a charging station - it was so far from the front entrance I'd like to say the walk lasted about 3 minutes (at least). There were so many people outside in the parking lot, I thought I was at a tailgate. I couldn't believe it. Once inside, it was like I was back in college. Hundreds of people walking around, shopping, eating, waiting in line. It was a form of organized chaos. I almost couldn't handle it. Neal and I first went to the bathroom. The men's bathroom was enormous and clean (an observation which was also conveyed to me many times). I was just glad that I didn't have to wait - there seemingly is always a stall/urinal available, regardless of when you walk in. That's a great thing, especially when you really gotta go. After that and cleaning up, I took a look at the food section, which obviously was also massive. Buc-ee's offered all kinds of food - brisket, sandwiches, burritos, candy, beef jerky, drinks. You name it, they had it. I bought a chopped brisket sandwich, a breakfast burrito and some Beaver Nuggets. I paid and immediately got the hell out of there, haha. Neal was still inside, so I made my way back so we could check out their merchandise. Buc-ee's offers all kinds of stuff - clothing, gifts, toys, souvenirs. It's easy to get caught up in all that stuff and walk out a couple of hundred bucks lighter. But I fought that temptation and stuck with the food. Anyways, Buc-ee's is one wild experience. I recommend all travelers check them out, because there is just so much going on. At the same time, if you're introverted, or simply not in the mood to deal with copious amounts of people, you might want to skip Buc-ee's. Regardless, Buc-ee's is a one-stop shop that offers nearly everything you could need/want during a road trip. Thanks Buc-ee's, for all of it! Ha! JV read more
