    BBQ Plate
    Dea S.

I was visiting a friend last week and she offered me some of her food. It was pretty good. Well today 10/06/2023 I decided to treat myself to dinner. The portions are excellent my only complaint is these green beans are extremely salty. I would think someone samples the food before it goes out. I order the BBQ plate that comes with three sides. My sides were: Sweet potatoes, green beans and chicken BOG. Cashier and server for take were extremely friendly. It's nothing extra special about the pick up window. The dine in area appears to be average buffet style. I gave it four stars, because I don't think the green beans are eatable. I would need to rinse them in water. The mascot drew my attention the first time I drove past the establishment

Rogers Barbecue House is the Mega-Feed Bag! If you ate a little bit of everything offered you would explode!! Lol. All kidding aside the food was good and the staff were very friendly. A good place to stop in and eat.

Do yourself a favor and stop in Rogers B-B-Q for some true down home southern cookin. Buffet style ensures instant service of your favorite foods like green beans, mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole, biscuits AND....wait for it....fat back! Super sweet service makes you wanna come back real soon! Clean, friendly, delicious & under $10 per person, drink included.

This was most definitely the best road food. Terrific price for the amount of food you can consume here. Absolutely worth 18$ (a person). Not far off from I-95- stop for lunch if you're passing through South Carolina. I had collard greens, green beans, squash casserole, mac and cheese, hush puppies, and above all BANANA PUDDING. my favorite. I uploaded the food plate photo :) My mom loved the pulled pork, both kinds. One was spicy! They have more than enough to offer a vegetarian. Negatives? It's a little dark and dreary, but the food is so good, you don't care. It's too bad you cant get to-go boxes. I snuck my dog some leftover fried chicken in a napkin, he died and went to heaven.

This place used to be better. We went on a Thursday around 6:30 pm. It should have been a warning that the parking lot was mostly empty and the only people eating here was a women's group who were on their way out. The food was dried out from having sat on the buffet under warmers for so long. Nothing was edible. I think the cap to the experience was the dead fly floating in our tea pitcher. Never stepping foot in here again!

Huge over cooked pork chop. If you love to really CHEW AND CHEW then this was the meal for your enjoyment.

Food is good on buffet, not wide selection for the price though. I wouldn't go back unless the price was lowered not worth it.

Not a clean place. During the holidays they block traffic for hours. The taste of the food is not good.

He was SO hospitable, sweet and genuinely welcoming. He gave great recommendations and did not steer us wrong. These days, it's not always easy to come across service like that, which made it even more appreciated. I ordered the Sunset Blush drink and it was delicious. We also got the cornbread and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST cornbread I've ever had. So soft and flavorful. The brisket sandwich was a little dry (could be because we went during closing) but still had really good flavor. The mac and cheese though... WOW. I am very picky with mac and cheese and most places miss the mark, but this tasted homemade. Easily a 10/10. My husband got the peach bourbon burger and said it was great. The kids ate everything in sight which is always a win...lastly the cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert... phenomenal!!! Overall such a great experience and I'm really glad we stopped in!

After driving 15 hours on March 21, 2026, my husband and I were genuinely excited to try this place and planned to take our food back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly and never really recovered. First, parking is extremely limited out front, which is frustrating when you're tired and just want a quick pickup. Inside, things only got worse. The front-of-house staff was shockingly unprofessional. The employee helping us clearly didn't understand her job and had to be corrected multiple times by another staff member--something no customer should have to witness. It created confusion, delays, and zero confidence in our order. We paid about $50 for a sampler, which is not cheap, and yet the same employee argued about giving us the sides because she entered the order incorrectly. If another, more competent employee hadn't stepped in, I'm convinced it would have escalated further. Even then, we never received one of the four sides we paid for. To make matters worse, we were never asked if we wanted drinks to go, and we weren't given plates, silverware, or even BBQ sauce--basic essentials for a takeout order. That's just unacceptable. While waiting, we also watched this same employee tell three separate dine-in families to go sit and wait while she stood there rolling silverware. Completely rude and dismissive. If I had been one of those customers, I would have walked out. This is the first impression customers get, and it's a terrible reflection of how the place is run. Between the disorganization, poor communication, and outright unfriendly behavior, the service was a mess. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the food itself was actually very good. The burnt ends and ribs were the standout--absolutely delicious. But great BBQ can't fully make up for such a frustrating and poorly managed customer experience.

It wasn't long enough of a visit since the girls and their mom stayed in the car! GRRR.. From a grandma's perspective, the first thing I noticed was how clean and well-kept everything was. The restrooms? Absolutely spotless--honestly better than some hotels I've stayed in. There were green and red lights on the outside of each stall to let you know which stalls were available and which were occupied. The lines moved very quickly. That alone makes it worth the stop when you're traveling with kids. Now, for my grandson, this place was like walking into a wonderland. His eyes lit up the second we walked in. Between the rows of snacks, the huge drink stations, and all the fun Buc-ee's merchandise, he didn't know where to look first. He was especially fascinated with the Toy section there were so many to chose from. It was a Saturday so this place was very busy. I heard Al Roker from the Today show praise the brisket sandwiches. I also wanted one but the wait was too long. We ended up grabbing some treats--beaver nuggets (of course!), 3 slushies, beef jerkey, candy bars, chocolate covered pretzels, and a couple of souvenirs magnets, t-shirts, Buc-ees water bottle and a Buc-ees tumbler he insisted we "had to have." I appreciated that there were plenty of options, whether you want something indulgent or a quick, decent meal on the go. What really stood out to me was how easy everything felt, even with a little curious little boy in tow. Plenty of space, clear layout, and friendly staff who didn't seem bothered by all of the people shopping. All in all, Buc-ee's in Florence isn't just a gas stop--it's the ultimate shopping experience. You must go atleast once in your lifetime! If you're traveling with grandkids, plan a little extra time. Well today, 4 years later of saying that, we stopped. It's a small 'food truck' (but it doesn't move from this spot), and I believe the smoker in the front is where eveything is made. The smell is unmistakeable and you can take it to go or eat inside a covered area that has booths and even a pool table. They sell farm fresh eggs and other various produce, flavored honeys and bottle of bbq sauce.
