We decided to try the Wing Buffet for $9.99. We were outraged when we received our check and they had charged us $5.99 kids buffet for our 16 month old grandbaby! NEVER have we had to pay for a child under 2 years old to eat buffet ... that is absolutely ridiculous! The wings were okay ... the rest of the food wasn't that great. They kept our glasses full and empty plates removed from the table, but they are very unfriendly and seem "stuck up" and bothered by serving you. I doubt very seriously we will bother them with our presence again! read more

First to begin! The name of this spot is The Flaming Pig. NOT Lil D's Dugout. It's a BBQ buffet and in all honesty, I had a taste for Wings and Burgers (and beer) type of food but since I was here I said what the hell, let's give them a shot! In retrospect, we should have kept going and checked out YELP for another location or gone somewhere I KNOW my taste buds would be satisfied. Don't get me wrong, the food was okay food, but it lacks the WOW factor that would bring you back. Also, there was zip,zero, nada deserts to finish off a meal. Coffee? What's that? They've got a choice of sweet tea, sweet tea and if you ask for it... water! A lesson learned. Some days you get WOW meals and some days you just eat to satisfy your hunger needs. read more

I would not give this restaurant even 1 star. We were in Florence visiting family and stopped in for food before driving back home. They close at 9 pm and we arrive about 8:05 pm but didn't order anything complicated stuff that can be done quickly but from the time we walked in the owner seem irritated that we were even there ordering. We ordered and my oldest son and youngest son went in the little area where they have one game to play. The machine kept taking their money and the natural human reaction is to shake the machine a little to see of the money will come out. The owners wife walked over to them and asked that they not shake the machine and they complied but then the owner went over and was in raged. Telling my son that he don't talk to his wife ever...remember she went to them first and they complied so there was no reason for the owner to approach son and especially not in the manner he did approached him I witnessed the owner yelling at my son that this was his restaurant and he don't ever talk to his wife the entire my son remained calm but the owner wasn't nasty. My son finally asked that his order be canceled and the money refunded to his card ( the owner all of a sudden was concerned about completing the order now because it had been started). We insisted on a refund...the money was finally refunded and we left. We stood outside talking for a few minutes I wanted to make sure my son was okay. He is my oldest son that my younger son and I were visiting. While we were outside talking and figuring out what to eat (not loud or even disturbing the owners of the restaurant) they called the police. Yes, the police arrived (completely unnecessary) we let the police know there was nothing to discuss we have a refund and would leave. The experience we had was absolutely horrible. The owners wife should not be working there if he doesn't want anyone to talk to her and if you are open until 9 pm and have 55 minutes from the time of a customer's arrival to serve them you should be appreciative not make them feel as if they are a problem when they are supporting your business and let me add the place was completely empty. We were the only customers. I owner 2 busineses and my oldest son owns his own business and neither of us would ever treat a paying or non-paying customer like that when they are trying to support our businesses I DON'T WANT TO GIVE ANY STARA BUT HAVE TO GIVE AT LEAST ONE IM ORDER TO POST MY REVIEW. If I could leave 0 stars I would. This is the second time me and my bf have turned around and walked out. The first time he decided to close over an hour early... second (today, valentines... knowing he needs more food than normal) we turned around because the "all you could eat crab legs" were all out. They don't even close for an hour and a half! PLUS before we went we tried to call 3 times with no answer. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone! read more

We've gotten many family meals during Covid and all have been great! We had pork chops & greens, rice & gravy, Mac & cheese and peas yesterday and a huge fruit bowl!! It was so good and we are still eating fruit today. I'm so thankful they're closer to us!! read more

Finally, had dinner for the first time at their 3rd location on Irby Street about a year ago, when Thursday nights, they served all you can eat crab legs for around $35.00. The waitress let me sit there for about 15 minutes before she decided to come over. You could tell she didn't want to be there. I ordered my crab legs, which they bring to your table. They were overcooked and mushy, but struggled through it. I had to hold my hand up to get her attention to bring more each time and you would have thought I was asking her to move out of her space against the wall that was holding her up. GEEZ!! Guess that's why they stopped the Thursday night special and probably got rid of her too!! Don't know, but won't be back. read more

We've been to the dugout on two occasions after their move from the previous location. And I would sadly report that even on our second visit the food (from the buffet) was truly disappointing. The fried chicken, smoked turkey wings, and sausages were all over-cooked and rather bland. Many of the selections, e.g., the chili and bana cream pie, tasted like they were served directly from a can. I believe their original menu was/is much more appetizing than the current fare. read more

We went Friday April 5 , 2019 to the seafood buffet . Our table was in the side room . The food was pretty good. Waitress was good but the seating to me was to close to each other felt like I was in a pack of sardines. Anyone coming in or out u had to wait having a conversation was not easy cause all u could hear was the people besides u and what they were saying. We came for a late lunch and in anticipation of the highly advertised wing buffet. Because it was so late, we knew the wings on the buffet weren't going to be replenished as frequently as if they would be during a regular lunch rush. There were 14 flavors of wings on the bar. An impressive sampling. I tried one of each & I admit, almost every one had a different flavor. Only a few of the barbecue flavored wings seemed similar, but it didn't take away from the experience. The dry rub wings were my favorite. The salad bar was also included in the deal. It was a regular salad bar, not too impressive, but did include a homemade pasta salad and some chili. They also included the celery sticks, so points for that! Desserts were included with the bar as well. They were pound cake & banana pudding, again, homemade. The bar included fries, tater tots & even nachos & cheese. So basically, a little bit of everything. Honestly, although the temperature of the wings were my only disappointment, but I can deal with that since it was slow at the time I went, this was definitely a great value for the cost. We've been meaning to try the place at their new location. The fried chicken....is the only reason it got 2 stars. The chicken was fairly good. But, aside from that, their all-you-can-eat buffet was pretty bad.....the liver was way overdone (leather-tuff), a breaded something (believe it was meant to be chicken-fried steak) was a greasy mess, the boiled shrimp were mush inside their shells, the side dishes were flavorless, and I'll leave it at that. We witnessed someone from the kitchen adding water to the gravy at the food bar and stirring the crust that had formed on the top back into the gravy. How long it had been there, I'm not sure as it was only the beginning of dinner hour. Shortly after that came out and added water to the soup and spilled water making a mess and just leaving it. Way overpriced. They have a wing buffet on Saturday. $13.95 for wings. And I never complain about wings but they all basically taste the same. I remember going to their other location and thinking it was pricey and now I remember why I said I wasn't going back. Food is ok, just certainly not worth the price. read more

What a great addition to our city! I had a hamburger for my first visit. I had the Grand Slam - my son did also. It was great, although bigger than I had anticipated. We love this place! We have been eating here for Sunday lunch for months now. We were hoping everyone wouldn't discover this hidden gem so it wouldn't start to become overcrowded, but if this past Sunday was any indication, the secret is now out. Tried the wing bar one night and it wasnt very good the wings were hard and a couple family members ordered food and it took almost 2 hours for them to cook it and it was still wrong the managers asked if we wanted a refill and when we told them yes they walked all the way back to the front to order the waitress to come all the way back over and refill it when they could have just done it theirselves because of one waitresss working by herself to begin with it was very hard on her and we all felt pretty bad for her wouldnt recomend anyone here and i wont be coming back read more

Great place for a meal. If you are around the Florence area. I was going to say the south side of town, however, it is a great burger joint if you are within ten miles! I saved a draft with four stars, but after my second visit they get five from me! Burger "bars" have nothing on this joint. Service was excellent and the "Home Run" burger was better. The onion straws turned out to be an amazing surprise. It's great to have a place on this side of town that works and deserves our business! Well done! read more

Went to Lil D's at the car show saturday . Got two cheeseburgers to go . Had to pay extra for fries I did not want .They come with it .Got the burgers home ,took one bite Both were still raw and real red , only a quick brown crust on the outside . Total waste of 16.00 . Will not go back and will not recommend it to anyone . read more

I have been wanting to try these guys since when they were in strip mall with KJ's IGA, today was first opportunity and it was about two weeks since they moved to this new location. Food, once we finally got our order after being in the establishment 75 minutes, was good, maybe even great. I just never budget 2.5 hours for a meal at this type of restaurant, or any restaurant for that matter. We were literally seated for over 12 minutes before waitress came to ask for our drink order. You can get good food occasionally in many places, you can not get slower service than Lil D's anywhere. Hate to see good food place have to go out of business due to lack of urgency; horrible customer service. Several of the surrounding tables drink orders and food orders were delivered/made incorrectly. read more
