Anyways Walmart surprised me today with the selection of cauliflower pizzas and zero sugar candy as well as finding the one protein bar I've been chasing around . Even the keto bread selection is pretty decent . I def don't do all our shopping here but I may have to rethink that again. The store itself in some other items feels picked over but then again it feels that way at other grocery stores too. There were plenty of sales associates on the floor to help if I needed them. The store itself is clean however the bathrooms on the other hand could have used some TLC. I went through a self check out lane and was done in no time . This walmart is very convenient for me, but no matter the time I go, I find the parking and checkout situation to be abysmal and sometimes even frightening with little staff and lots of people loitering in the parking lot. The produce here is hit or miss and I almost always spend an hour trying to find everything on my list. Walmart has definitely been a go to location for supplies during the Covid quarantine. Depending on the time of day, there is a lot of foot traffic here. When the occupancy restrictions were first enforced, there was one entry and one exit through the same door. This location also had signs on the floor for traffic flow. Now, the aisle signs are gone, but employees are wearing mask and gloves depending on job specification. This location does offer grocery pickup for those wanting to bypass in-person shopping. Update: this location has gotten rid of the sound notifications on its surveillance devices. Thank goodness. read more

Today, I ordered 9 items that were supposedly in stock. 3 were actually not in stock. 1 more I only got half of a twin pack of charcoal and had to go through online support to get that remedied. This location is AWFUL!!!...I arrived when they opened at 6am. While shopping I could not find anyone to assist me (fabrics and hardware) the uscan person was vocal with another employee of how annoyed she was about the long line of folks waiting to check out, there were only 3 lanes open. When myself and another person reviewed our receipt, there was an additional charge, when pointing the issue out to the u scan person, she was very rude and not even willing to be helpful saying " I can't help you, you just have to wait (35mins) or come back when customer service opens". This is not how customer service works! People should not be mistreated because the employee has an attitude for whatever reason. DO AND BE BETTER !! read more

There's a lot of helpful people there even though it's not in a great neighborhood. I wish they didn't have everything locked up and I wish they provided basketts for shopping but they don't for security reasons I guess. But still they do what they can for people considering the circumstances. The lady that sells the phones doesn't seem to care about you as a customer and she doesn't even try to learn your name. The only thing this location has going is that it's convenient to my work. If it weren't I wouldn't patron the place. The parking lot is always packed and lot of people loitering around. Absolute garbage. I always have bad experiences at the Russell cave Walmart. I have to go there a lot when I need stuff because they're right across the street from my club but this was the last straw. There were no carts and the guy told me to go outside and get one. That was not gonna happen, asked him where the people who get the carts were and first he said they don't have that. Then when I got indignant his story changed to he didn't know where they were. And of course he couldn't send no one to get any carts. Every time I go there they are rude, incompetent, and show little concern fir their customers. Waited till about 15 minutes, hung up and called back since I was clearly forgotten. This time I asked for either a manager or someone who could help me. Anywhere else I can just ask and they look it up on their computer but wal-mart who even has a click list can't do this apparently? I just had a full cart of groceries. Meats, dairy, frozen meals. Of course, there were no cashiers...yet there were several workers standing around the self check area doing absolutely nothing. I asked a group of them if a register will be open and they said no. I said I'm not using self check because there's no room for a full cart of groceries. They said that was the only option. I said you have 2 choices. Open a register or put all this away. They shrugged their shoulders and now they're either putting away a bunch of groceries, or Walmart is taking a loss on ruined food. As long as the store is open for business, there should always be at least 1 cashier. If you tell me I have to do your job, while a group of employees stands by and watches, instead of opening a lane, I promise it won't happen. read more

Lacking in customer service is an understatement! My husband and I are both in our 50's and was trying to buy beer and they said we both have to have our ID's , he didn't have his ID but I had mine and they wouldn't let me just buy it, so He actually left and I stayed and again I was told that because they knew he once was there with me I still couldn't purchase alcohol without his ID!! I'm new in town. Went to this Walmart because it was closest to me at the time. It was about 9:30pm. There was no Walmart name on the building.. First red flag!! I go in and there is a vibe I'm not used to when I visit a Walmart. I'm usually happy to be there even though I expect to stand in line for a bit when I'm done shopping. I go down the freezer isles twice. No sign of the FarmFresh meatballs I came for. I find an employee and asked if this store carried meatballs. His first response was "No". In my mind, I'm thinking how is that possible?? I'm sure my face said more than I was thinking. So after my reaction, he goes over to the freezer and yells "I lied"! There is a reason that my friends all call this location "Ghetto Mart". It's a Wal Mart Supercenter, you know what to expect in terms of merchandise and layout. It is certainly up to corporate standards in those regards. The employees are consistently hostile, bitter and have a bad attitude. You always feel like you're in the way, and good luck if you actually need to get help with something, because they are remarkably good at not being around if you do. If you manage to find an employee, they don't know anything about the department you're asking about. The whole area feels seedy and dangerous. There's a Lexington PD car parked out front pretty much constantly, and I presume it's for a good reason. The last time I visited, there was a panhandler hitting me up for money not two seconds after I was out of my car. It is often in more of a shambles than other Wal Marts, with merchandise knocked off shelves, dumped on the floor, or horribly mis-shelved. read more

Walmart delivered someone else's order to me, had their name and everything on the bags. I contact them immediately upon bringing it in and I'm told to keep the items. They refuse to "re-pick" and deliver my order because it's considered lost so I'll receive my money back and I can either go out during the pandemic to get the items I need for my family and put us and others at risk or wait a whole extra day and hope that they deliver my correct order tomorrow by redoing my order myself. We've had issues over and over with the delivery service and the answer is always "sorry we'll issue a refund". Thanks for my money back, but how about some actual customer service and some changes so that these issues stop happening? They even stated it could take up to five business days to receive my money back which for me is fine because I have the funds, but what about others that do not? They're expected to go almost a week without their money or the items they needed? Do better Walmart. read more

I refer to this Walmart location as the sketchy Walmart. I only come here when I have to or I am on this side of town and need 1 or 2 specific items. Usually during lunch break while at work. The staff here are usually rude or unhelpful. The floors and isles are at least clean for the most part. There is a Police Station attached to the store. That has to say something. Once I was looking for a hammer for the office, ended up asking an employee. The employee let me know that they keep hammers behind the cash registers in case they were held up or threatened. That is just scary stuff in my opinion. Did stop in here for the lunch plates often. You get a meat and 1 or 2 sides for under $5. The ladies that work in the deli section really pile on the food. If it were just for them, I would give them a 4 star. The rest of the store and staff bring this down to a solid 2 star review. Outside of the pharmacy and Subway, this Walmart is the pits. Almost makes me want to drive to Georgetown for their Walmart instead. If you get a cart with working wheels, buy lottery tickets because it's your lucky day. Especially if you didn't have to go back to the parking lot to get it. Don't expect full shelves because they never have full shelves. But do check the overstock shelf because it could be there although maybe not in the aisle that it's supposed to be in. If you check the app before going and it says something is in stock, it's a crapshoot whether it really is or not. So don't be surprised when it's not actually on the shelf. But don't worry. A friendly employee will explain to you that their inventory isn't always correct and that's why the 12 different items you are looking for can't be found anywhere. And if you catch a manager to ask, it's even better. You'll get a deer in the headlights look before he calls that employee back over to explain again that no one in the store has any idea what products are actually there. I rode my horse all the way from Houston, TX to check out this wal mart because I had heard such great things. Unlike the other reviewers this wal mart was and is just like every other wal mart. I wish I could give this particular store a 0 rating... The store at 500 W New Circle Rd. in Lexington KY is by far the worst Wal-Mart I've been to anywhere in the country. My family and friends call it the 'ghetto-mart' if that gives you any idea of how bad it is. Whenever you walk into this store, you feel like you've just entered a third world country. First of all, it's dangerous. It's located in a very crime-ridden part of town and there have been multiple incidents at this location, including a veteran who was robbed of donation money at gunpoint. There also seems to be some kind of robbery or mugging in the news every week at this store. The store is in absolute disarray, it is filthy and poorly stocked. When they do have what you need, its often misplaced on the incorrect shelf. Finally, the store is severely understaffed - plan on spending 30-40 minutes in line (especially on the first of the month) Twice I've been to this particular store and the second time, I just put down my groceries and walked out. If a business doesn't want to provide a safe, clean environment with good customer service, there are plenty of other places that will. This particular Wal-Mart is simply pathetic. AVOID read more

Walmart had a great deal on a video game for Cyber Monday this year so I picked up two copies and a CD for my girlfriend. I live in Richmond, but this Walmart was the only one that had copies in stock to be picked up THE SAME DAY. So I made my purchase. The order was supposed to be processed by 6:30pm. It wasn't. Okay... defeats the purpose of me choosing this store, but I accept that. It's busy. Fine. I'll wait. Next day I try to call to get an update. The first time they transfer me to pick-up they ask if I can call back later. Sure. I'm accommodating. So I call back later. This time they transfer me and the call drops. I call back. Same thing again. So I wait a few hours. This time when I call in, I get connected to someone who says he's a manager over that section of the store. I'm thinking, "GREAT! I can finally get some help!" But no. He asks my name and asks me to call back in 10 minutes. I'm a little fed up at this point so I explained my situation and let him know my disgust at calling back again. He asks for my name and tells me to call back in 10 minutes, he'll take care of me. FINE. So I call back in 10 minutes and every time they transfer my call to pick up, it just rings and rings and rings. I tried 3 more times. No luck. So my girlfriend gets off work and goes to try to pick up the items or see what's going on. They say it's not ready. They can't even find the order now. They ask if we're sure we ordered it direct because we probably ordered it site to store and that takes longer. Then they're able to find the CD and give that to her. But no games. I'm doing inventory at my job when my girlfriend calls to update me. So I go straight over there. I show them my purchase on my phone. I've already paid for these items. These items are mine. They were supposed to be available a day ago. Why can't these people do their job, go pick a video game, and bring it to me? I left empty handed and frustrated. Today is the third day waiting for 2 video games that I was supposed to be able to pick up the same day. On top of not being able to help me, their customer service was terrible, and I felt like I was treated like a pest instead of a (not paying, but already PAID) customer. Went through the self checkout line and added $20 from my debit card. Then went to the money center with the $20 i just got out of their machine to get change. They informed me they don't give change. I said your a money center, she said sorry try customer service. So i walk over to customer service and they tell me the same thing. This location of walmart is fair. The friendlier locations in Lexington granted not at large as the newest location out at Hamburg. Also one of the few locations that offer crafts section. Overall pretty clean and decent to deal with even if you have run into problems. Remember to keep your receipt. They are very prompt about putting out the new dvd's on late Monday nights (actually Tuesday after midnight till about 1:30 am.) so if you want a new release & can't wait you can usually find it here. Lacks Blu-ray array of releases but does keep some in stock. Does also have a bank inside, beauty shop, pharmacy, vision center, portrait studio, photo center, and a subway and outside there's a post office mail box drop. read more
