Target is one of my favorite stores. I can easily spend hours walking around the store aimlessly shopping for nothing. I just like to see what's new from the last time I was there. As soon as I heard about this new Target coming to the area I was so excited. I work nearby and thought it would be great to have one close by my job. I have previously been to another campus Target in Chicago and I really like the concept. It's great for students and for others that live and work in the area. When I walked in everything inside was very familiar. It looked like and was setup like any other Target. This was great as I had no trouble finding anything. They have a little bit of everything. Clothes, food, housewares, even a full service CVS Pharmacy. I was most impressed with the grocery section. There was a large selection of fresh produce. I thought that was wonderful. College students tend to eat a lot of junk food, mostly because it's convenient. With Target having fresh produce readily available, I hope they will take advantage of that and do some healthy eating to balance the junk food. And also worth noting is that the produce looked wonderful! Everything was colorful and looked very fresh. Prices were also reasonable which is an added bonus. In addition to the fresh produce, there's a vast refrigerated section with salads, dairy and meat items. Beverage selections include milk (regular, soy, lactose free, etc) , sodas, Gatorade, bottled water, iced coffee, beer, hard ciders and drink mixers. Of course there was also a large selection of pantry staples and dry goods. I think anything you would need for a simple meal is easily accessible here. After checking out the grocery section I moved on to homegoods/housewares. Lots of things for dorm life here. Bath & bed linens, plasticware, laundry items, lightbulbs, extension cords, etc. Health and beauty was my next stop. Very impressive selection of merchandise. Soap/body wash, lotion, shampoo, skincare, travel sized items, over the counter meds, you name it, it was there. Kudos do to Target for carrying a large selection of ethnic hair care products. I feel this is another plus for the college student as some of them may be away from home, new to the area and unfamiliar where to find products. Target makes it very convenient for them. I didn't spend much time in electronics, but I did see the basic things, cell phone chargers & cases, portable speakers, etc. As far as clothing goes, that was probably the smallest section of the store. Of course they have some University of Kentucky merchandise and a small selection of jeans/shorts,t-shirts for guys & girls, but it's definitely not a normal Target clothing section, so don't expect that. They do have the necessities covered (socks & underwear). They also have a small selection of accessories (purses & fashion jewelry). This is a beautiful Target. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This is a great addition to campus/downtown Lexington.

It is smaller than its suburban counterparts, but has a good selection of everything a college student might need.

They are a little pricey here. But if you are looking for one of a kind, unique pieces, you've got to pay a visit. This is all the way in the back of Eastland Shopping Center. I'm guessing they must do a lot of internet sales. I've rarely seen other customers. But the owners are very friendly and it's worth a visit.

Fran the owner buys great modern clean lined furniture and a small amount of high quality used furniture. This shop has a small amount of all types of furniture. Anything and everything you are looking for your house is here. The place is huge and he is also expanding his show room in a few months. I can't wait to go in then. Fran also travels to Guatemala often and brings back a few hand made and woven items. They are very unique and a cool find to boot. Fran also offers delivery on items you buy which comes in handy. He even has delivered to Winchester for me. There are also a lot of local artist work displayed and for sale here. Fran said he loves to support local art as much as possible. If you are ever in the market for some furniture, decor, or art, I would suggest to give this place a chance. Stop in and take a look around. I am sure you will find exactly what you were looking for.

I recently purchased two sofas from this store, expecting brand-new, high-quality furniture…read more Unfortunately, one of the sofas was delivered with a clear discoloration defect. When I raised the issue, I requested a reasonable solution--either a partial discount or store credit. Instead of addressing the problem professionally, the delivery team offered a bottle of cleaner to "fix" the issue themselves. I declined, as I paid for a new sofa, not something that requires cleaning upon arrival. What followed was even more disappointing. I asked to speak with a manager, and the delivery driver contacted someone named Jacob, who was identified as the store manager. The driver clearly informed Jacob that he was on speaker and that I, the customer, could hear the conversation. Despite that, Jacob responded in an extremely unprofessional manner--raising his voice, refusing to speak with me, and stating that I was "wasting his time." This level of disrespect toward a paying customer is completely unacceptable, especially from someone in a managerial position. This experience reflects poorly not only on customer service, but also on the company's accountability and quality control. Selling defective items is one issue--but refusing to resolve it respectfully and professionally is far worse. I strongly urge the company to address both their product quality standards and the behavior of their management team. Customers deserve to be treated with basic respect, especially when legitimate concerns are raised.

I love the style of this store with a mix of antiques and new items. The store contained many Lexington pictures such as maps of the city and horse pictures and signs. The place contained many cool tables, bars, shelving units and military pictures and tables. The owner Chad Tussey was helpful and gave me a card with the website. The website was well laid out with the items divided into categories: furniture, accessories, bourbon barrels, cover your walls, oriental rugs, lighting, stuff for your bar, Kentucky made soaps, candles, and food, architectural salvage, hats, shirts, socks, etc., grooming supplies, new relic finds, and sale items. I will be back and really enjoyed my visit.

We have been looking for a dresser for over a month and all of the furniture stores are back ordered. Some of them wouldn't be back in stock until end of November! We didn't want to wait that long. Another Mans Treasure sells some of their items right off the floor. They do have some items you can order but just like all of the other furniture stores they could be back ordered. Expect 12 weeks for those items. And they do not offer returns, exchanges, etc. they have big signs at the check out stands. But what really excited me was that they had some cool framed paintings at what I thought were good prices. Yes, they were reproductions, but at least they weren't made in China. We bought a big 3' x 4' Van Gough reproduction. It was cheaply framed, but for the price I thought it was fine. However, I didn't count on two things: 1. I didn't think to actually touch the painting in the store because that is rude. However, once I got it home, I realized the oil paint is tacky to the touch. It has been weeks and it won't dry. So, dog hair and lint stick to it. 2. The frame is SO cheap that it can't support its own weight. It was displayed on an easel in the store but as soon as we tried to hang it at home, the frame promptly broke. I called and spoke to a manager and she insisted that the painting was dry in the store (um, I am pretty sure paintings don't go from dry to wet again) and that the painting was hanging in the store when we bought it (not true) so it should be fine. She claimed that it must have become wet again by us taking it home when it was raining (it was dry and sunny when we bought it). She did not offer to refund or replace our purchase. If their items are so cheap that they fall apart when you get them home, then it doesn't matter how good the price is. I don't think I will buy anything here again.
