Store is filthy, constantly packed out, and filled with questionable customers. There's almost always police there dealing with some kind of issue. Honestly, that alone is bad enough to leave a review... but somehow it still doesn't compare to Walmart's nonstop obsession with forcing "Walmart Cash" and the Walmart app down everyone's throat. Meanwhile, your store STILL doesn't accept Apple Pay. Seriously? It's 2026. Get with the rest of the world. Shouldn't shopping be convenient? Shouldn't the experience make customers actually want to come back? Instead, several self-checkouts are basically useless unless you download the app. Completely absurd. Customers who don't want your app or Walmart Cash are punished by being forced into ridiculous checkout lines. Example: standing there forever behind someone trying six different EBT cards to pay for groceries. At the end of the day, many of us will just shop somewhere else -- somewhere that actually values convenience and customer experience. Now explain this to me: Walmart and Sam's Club are the SAME company, right? So why does Sam's Club have "Scan & Go," but Walmart acts like that technology is impossible? I've literally asked management about it, and the answer was basically, "We think customers will steal from us." Oh really? Is theft suddenly not a risk at Sam's Club? As if the one person checking our receipt at the door really has security in control! When your store is dirty, employees are rude, prices are cheap, and you only take cash or card while refusing modern payment options, you drive away decent customers. Not because of one issue -- because of ALL of them combined. Above everything else, you make shopping inconvenient. At this point, Walmart is just a hop, skip, and jump away from becoming WinCo. Go look up the reviews for WinCo in Lancaster... that's exactly where you're headed. And the really sad news is... in AV, dislocation is better than the others. Walmart on Valley Central Way, in Lancaster, CA. The Pharmacy--be careful! Picked up medicine. The guy behind the counter was taking a long time on the computer looking up my meds. I was not felling well. After about ten minutes he said "I can't find the medicine, you probably have some at home." Not feeling well, I took the medicine that was available. About three days later I was feeling better. I then realized that the worker did not give me my prescription! I went back to the pharmacy. I asked to speak to the supervisor. I explained what happened. She checked the computer and it said I received the prescription!!! He stole my prescription! He probably sold it on the streets! I told her to run the cameras. That is when she gave me my prescription! Another incident occurred this week. I was buying some items at the pharmacy. I gave the cashier two five dollar bills and some singles. As I was closing my purse, she said that I owed her another $5. I quickly became suspicious! I immediately leaned over the side of the register and there was my $5 bill! She didn't have the time to push it under the register because I moved too fast! Now, since so many crimes are occurring at the pharmacy, I suspect they may be filling prescriptions, and not putting the exact number of pills in the container. Yesterday I went to Customer Service to turn in a lottery scratcher. When the woman scanned the scratcher it came back not a winner. Now I know it wasn't a winner, but there was two bonus box's that were a winner, but the woman wasn't smart enough to realize it. I tired to tell her, but she's a moron. Walmart has made it hard to get things especially with everything locked. But I understand why they do it. Normally it takes like 15-20 mins for someone to come open the locked doors or majority of the time there's a line waiting for a worker. Well my recent experience was amazing. Ezekiel was probably the only one working the hygiene aisles and let me tell you he was SUPER FRIENDLY AND QUICK! He let us know he'll be right with us... he acknowledge us! I get it sometimes it's hard to acknowledge with a line but I appreciate him going above and beyond. He was an older gentleman and it warms my heart to see other customers being respectful to him. He was amazing. 10/10 customer service! He deserves a huge recognition especially working around rush hour and getting to everyone as fast as he could. Coming here early and on a weekday pays. The shelves are fully stocked, organized and no mess on the floor. The hot food are freshly out from the oven as well as the breads. Plenty of empty parking spaces and not fighting with anyone. I like the changes that are made. Big signs and nicely labeled. Sales associates are helpful and courteous. read more

Bought some tires for my Mercedes (bought them elsewhere) and since I was already at Walmart, I figured that I'd just have them mount them for me. After waiting 3 hours I noticed my car hadn't moved from the parking space. Told the young lady how long I had been waiting and 2 minutes later my car was in the stall . 15 minutes later, they call me to the desk and tell me that they can't get my tire to stretch over the rim (it's the same exact brand and size tire that was already on the car). The Manager "Patrick" was extremely rude and told me that they ruined my previous tire taking it off and that they couldn't install the new one at all. I'd have to put on my spare tire and just figure it out. Asked for a gift card or something for my inconvenience but then he got upset and said he's not gigiving me anything and kept repeating "take it or leave it" while I was talking. I left there and went to a small little tire shop on Ave I and they toI'd me that my brand new tire was ripped and ruined. Walmart had ripped an expensive run flat tire while trying to mount it on the rim. I then went back to Walmart to get refunded for my ruined tire and the other manager said he already knew about what happened and that they let me leave with a damaged tire. WTF!!! Called corporate and came back the next day with a picture of my receipt (I don't live close to this Walmart). They said that i would need to bring a paper receipt. What if I had bought them online? What papar receipt would I have then? Smh. After 5 calls to corporate and escalating tthe issue, I finally got my refund today. This whole process has taken almost a week. Don't even THINK about having your tire(s) fixed at the Lancaster Walmart!!! Took my car in there only because it was a Sunday and I had a flat tire. They fixed the flat and I drove away but soon saw that the "low tire pressure" warning light had come on. I topped off all the tires with air but the light remained on. The next day I took it back to the Walmart tire center but the manager (through his receptionist) merely stated "probably only low on air" ...and he never came to talk with me or check out my tire. I had to take my car to another tire store where they found the Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor (TPMS) had been broken off inside the tire. I took this to the Walmart tire center manager and then to THREE other managers at Walmart and got NO WHERE!!! Now I'm having a wonderful time dealing with Walmart Corporate, which is another horror story!! In the meantime I'm out $75.00 for the TPMS they broke ...but could have fixed for pennies!! read more

I attempted to have 6 of disposable cameras developed and they have no idea where they are. These pictures were all of my wedding reception and they claim to hold no accountability. They FedEx them out to fuji films and at that point they claim they are no longer responsible. I spoke with two Managers and both walked away if you ask what their policy and terms of liability are cause I dealt with them not fuji films and feel there should be some form of compensation. The moment you talk any legal terms they are told to walk aways from you. Not to mention you call and not a single worker answers. I was also informed it it due to them only having one operating phone in the entire place. Walmart is a terrible company to deal with and work for. These workers were very cold and did not care not even punch in my order # into any system to see what may be going on or at what point the processing stopped so they could be located. These are photos of a day in my life I will treasure and having those photos to view in my older age are now gone and they directly said it is not their problem and they can do nothing. And it was upsetting to be intimidated with having a security guard present with the second manager I spoke with. I am 8 and half months pregnant and in tears at the situation. Not at any moment did I yell, I pleaded in tears for any assistance to help me find these to get any information or aid to find the images of a memory very dear to my heart. I also have a recently deceased family member who attend our wedding and the images of him are gone. It sucks to learn the hard way at the level of poor service with Walmart. I went in to get an oil change today Oct 14 2024 and the guy said he couldn't take my car because they are very busy and there was only one car ahead of me. 6-21-2022 44665 Valley Central Way, Lancaster, CA 93536 Supervisor: VANESSA i made a purchase of a $88 dollar breadmaker which you can see in the photos is in my cart and im exiting the store after paying for my item. i was stopped by Vanessa and asked to see my receipt. i said its back at the self check out booth.(i dont need my receipts as i use a credit card for any returns so its all documented) Vanessa said that "you MUST show me your receipt or your not leaving!" excuse me? so several minutes of going back and forth about me being required to show my receipt and me saying i do not have to and i would like to leave. some more harassing statements by her and me trying to leave as i paid for my items in the cart. Vanessa then stole my breadmaker (physically took the item out of my cart, an item i paid for) and walked back inside the store. so because i paid for the item i was forced under deress to stay and i couldnt leave as they stole my item that i paid for. so i had to wait until they confirmed if i was a thief or an honest customer. needless to say she took the walk of shame back to me and placed the item back into my cart. as you can see in the photos she thought that she caught a thief but realized i was an honest simple customer. DID I GET AN APPOLOGY? an honest employee a respectable employee an employee representing a corporation in good light would have appologized for all the drama that she imposed... but no she took her failure personally and didnt have to strength to admit she was wrong. i would have accepted her appology and this yelp review would not be here. the employee's here have no respect for the customers at all. but i guess its Lancaster for you. she even threatened me that she would put my name in the database to ban me from entering any walmart. photos dont lie, look at her smug frown and crossed arms. lol she made herself mad. read more

I don't know about anyone else but for me going to Walmart is a trial to be endured. I go only because they do have some things that are worth the upset, the time and the frustration of walking out with less than half of my list. Oh, they have everything on my list but half of the products are kept locked behind glass walls and I do not have the time to find an 'associate' that isn't busily on their way to someplace else, carefully not looking in my direction at the five or six different locations I might find the products. Then, if I can get an associate to open the glass wall I must hurry to get my product, not examine the boxes for content, directions that I can understand, not compare prices for the amount as I would if I were not being treated like some criminal who might grab and escape with their precious jar of face cream, or the fifteen pound vacuum cleaner (I'm 82 ) as they stand there helplessly. Then once I have the few things that are left out in the open, as I dodge around the associates with the carts who are doing the shopping for the people who don't mind the quality of what they get, I get to stand in the checkout lines that always have a minimum of five people in line each with cartloads of goods. Heaven forbid the store should have the 10-15 items or less lanes! Then I can only hope that the checkout associate isn't the kind person who loves to chat up each customer, passing the time of day while carefully loading each bag being sure to show consideration of each purchase. Then, because of the shortage of space at the end of the checkout, because I bring my own bags and am limited in the weight I can handle, I must rush-rush, scurry to put things in my bags, fending off help from well meaning customers behind me who want to help load the bags and get me out of their way. Finally I stumble out, worn and weary, past the security guard at the exit who scrutinizes my cart and my receipt and reluctantly allows me to pass. One thing about Walmart is that you can't expect amazing customer service on the floor. As a billion-dollar company, Walmart doesn't invest in having quality staff and you can tell by the interactions you have with the floor staff. We recently visited this Walmart and needed to get an item that was locked up in glass cages. We understand why they keep things locked up because of theft, but if they do that, they should make it more easily for us to contact a staff member to assist with unlocking the item. It was frustrating finding someone to help us out. We rang the button on the cabinet, and the girl came but quickly skip our section to help someone else. Another person cruise through but he didn't have access to unlock shelf and told us to ring the button. Took about 7 minutes or more for the staff to come assist us, and when she does-- she looks a tad annoyed and didn't look like she wanted to help us. It was off-putting but what I expect from Walmart. The only staff that we had a positive interaction with was the cashier who was patience when my friend's card didn't go through. I used to buy produce at Walmart because of how cheap it was, but now the quality has caught up With the price, take a look at the tomatoes in this picture, all rotting and causing the others around them to rot. I asked if deodorant is returnable. She angrily said "No it isn't! I don't think it is". She opened the case very angrily & stared menacingly, rushing me "that one?! Did you pick one yet!" When I tried to lift the corner of a sticker on a soft solid deodorant, she yelled in front of everyone "You can't do that! You can't break the seal!" I said "I was just going to lift the corner of the sticker so I can smell..." I told her it isn't a seal, it's a sticker and others have a plastic top, so customers can easily smell the products. She yelled "NO you can't smell it! You can't open it!" I was mortified that this lady was yelling at me so much and that she was so nasty & miserable! I quickly chose a deodorant and went straight to a cashier. I did NOT buy the deodorant. I just had to get out of there with my other items. Will never shop at a Walmart again. The beef they sell is low fat and good for my dogs dinners. Walmart's Online Account system MAY be compromised and expose your credit card, PayPal, or other financial information to hackers! On the morning of 9/25/2024, I discovered an unauthorized charge of over $500.00 on my PayPal account. Somehow, a hacker was able to breach Walmart's Online Account system and piggybacked into my PayPal account. (Even though my PayPal account has a very secure password, which is changed on a monthly basis) I immediately called my credit card company, and they shut down the credit card. I also immediately notified PayPal and changed my password. My Walmart Online Account was last used the middle of August 2024. Even more upsetting was the rude and arrogant attitude of the Walmart Supervisor I interacted with at the Walmart Supercenter in Lancaster. I was directed by Walmart's Customer Support, to talk to a supervisor at the local store to determine what had happened, and how to fix the situation. Normally, I ignore rude behavior. However, due to the seriousness of the situation, I decided to take a stand against what I consider unacceptable behavior. From my perspective, Walmart was responsible for the data breach. The supervisor (Ariana), decided to BLAME ME for mishandling the situation, and showed ZERO remorse or sympathy. A quick search online, (reddit) shows that other individuals have also had their Walmart Online Account System hacked in a similar manner. I encourage anyone who has suffered a similar data breach, or customer abuse to call Walmart's Customer Support (1-800-925-6278) and lodge a complaint. read more

I really do wish I could rate zero stars. It's not just this Walmart. Walmart in general has just gone downhill quickly. Had to wait 15 minutes just to get some deodorant. Almost everything is locked up and good luck finding someone to unlock the case for you. And, the little button you have to push to summon someone to try and help you, dunno if they just don't work or the employees are just ignoring it. I think I will pay the little bit extra and go back to shopping in a regular grocery store where I don't have to wait for someone to unlock a case for almost everything I need to buy. Did I really need to hunt for an employee because there is no button, deal with her attitude because I politely interrupted her stocking, and have her walk behind me all the way to the register holding my AC/DC T-shirt? That's as ridiculous as the 20-30 minutes I wait EVERY time that I want to buy alcohol or a Lego set for my son. I had been going to this location to get my oil changed for a few years now, as I have a Nissan and they do synthetic oil for cheap. So imagine my surprise when I pull out of a parking spot, and my bottom splash shield gets caught on the curb and is now dangling from the bottom of my car! When I took it in for service, I was told there were about 30 clips missing from my splash shields. So I can only assume that when I got my oil changed, the mechanics didn't bother to put the splash shields (which you have to remove for an oil change!) back on correctly, or didn't secure every clip. I'm very disappointed, and am glad I moved away from this location. If any future customers get their oil changes done here, MAKE SURE they secure your clips on your splash shield properly, because they clearly don't care about it as much as they should! read more

I was debating on whether to do 2 or 3 stars. They do have a decent selection here and I would say the staff is friendly. But where the problem lies is with their credit card machines. They have the worst credit card machines- you would think they would be up to date with technology being that Walmart is so huge. I had a big purchase to make and no matter what register I used (or whether I used the chip or swiped), it couldn't read my card. I have just a regular Mastercard. Multiple employees got involved and sent me to multiple different registers. It was a waste of time and it was also irritating moving all over the place. I used my Mastercard at Target earlier in the day and I also used it after I left Walmart. I hope they get their machines fixed so it makes it easier for people to shop there! read more

Walmart in Lancaster. RE: "Call for Assistance" button. Four (4) different departments. The first three, I gave up after 5 minutes of waiting. The fourth - someone actually showed up! I'd rather do my shopping online! Also, whatever happened to "Bag Boys/Box Boys"? Does no one offer to help senior citizens with their purchases? Paying more for less? I've been away for awhile, and I don't like this part of the world I'm experiencing. Is poor customer service the norm, nowadays? Rude workers (If you see one) who don't ask if you need assistance, and just walk past you like you don't exist. No one at the counter in any given department. It seems to take almost twice as long to shop. Best bet? Make sure you don't need an item which is locked up (good luck!) and nothing which you may have a question about. SAD.
