Amazing place.... Not just a book store. They have something for everyone. Wonderful owners. Kind. Top notch service. Treasures in every corner. read more

I went into this store because they sell used books and I wanted to know if they buy used books for their store. When my daughter, grandson and I first walked in we were approached by an older Asian woman and I asked her if they buy books. She could barely speak any English except to say "Ask my daughter", who I assume is the owner. So, they except donations, no trade-in value or anything. That's fine, I just thanked her and proceeded to check out their inventory, which I really was not impressed with the book selections--they had a lot of miscellaneous stuff for sale also, that might appeal to some. The thing that bothered me though is that this Asian lady followed us around the store and kept asking me if I wanted to buy a book. Right up to the point when we walked out the door. The one thing that makes me leave a shop quicker than anything is a pushy salesperson! Also, I'm not racest-my grandson is half Chinese! Anyway, I just got bad vibes, and I probably won't be back. read more

It's a cute little store for the casual shopper but not if you're looking for something specific. Most of the books I opened were not priced, which can be annoying and also deter sales. Inside they also have soap, jewelry, and other pretty things merchandised. There is a public restroom on the 2nd floor. Service was pleasant and welcoming. read more

First time visiting this place recently and I already can't wait to go back. So many books and so little time! The selection was great. I picked up everything from historical fiction to murder mystery to true life and more. I think next time I'll try and find a chair because there are lots of titles to look thru and my knees just can't take the time needed to peruse. ;) As for the negative comments posted here.... they are all suspiciously lacking in basic grammar and punctuation. The exact same misspelled words, exact same lack of capitalization, no periods to end simple sentences, etc. It isn't hard to see that the same person wrote them. Perhaps losing oneself in a good story/ book would be a better decision than spending your life online proving to society that after the 3rd grade you never bothered to master grammar. read more

Lady was too cold. My mom wanted to use a credit card chip but only accept tap. Also my niece and brother wanted to get glitter dumplings and when we paid and were leaving, she asked where the dumpling display was. And it was literally in the box with the unopened dumplings. I told her she was rude and why would she assume the kids took it. She just had to look in the box and it was right there. Glad the kids got their glitter dumplings but never buying there again. read more

Such a fun little hidden gem for book lovers. Li'l Book Bug has a huge selection of new and used books, especially if you're into genres like mystery or romance--you can easily spend hours browsing. The atmosphere is super cozy and welcoming, with a mix of books and unique items from local vendors that makes it feel more like a community space than just a bookstore. Staff are friendly and passionate about books, always happy to help or recommend something new. Overall, a great spot to explore, unwind, and support a local business. read more

This place is so cute, I loved going here and I've been back a few times. The book selection isn't the absolute best but I've gotten a few good books from here. The price is pretty reasonable for used books. I honestly can't complain about it. Plus I will add they have incense which is awesome and I've gotten a few from here, the brand is amazing. I'm a huge book nerd so I was happy to find this cute little store and look around for a bit. I will always go back! read more

Zero customer service. A clutter of books stagnant on the shelves. It's a hoarders storage unit. One star is too much of a complaint.

This little store is a treasure trove of books. . .every type you can imagine, and the prices are excellent! The store owner is very accommodating and helpful, always willing to help you look for a book. I was looking for a specific title, and she immediately showed me where books by that specific author were, and even helped me find the book. I live out of state, but go to this book store every time I'm in town. read more

I was just in this bookstore earlier today and it was awesome! I've been in Lancaster from out of town visiting my boyfriend and I heard about this place on Facebook, and I knew I had to go! I know a lot of people complained about the clutter, but I have books stacked in my bedroom at home so it felt really familiar to me! The owner was working there and was SO friendly and chatty with us, and I got a really good vibe in there! read more

This book store is awesome. The building itself is unique. The staff is amazing and there is so much to see. Book books and more books. This book store is a whole experience and vibe. The Li'l book bug also hosts an Artisan Market every Thursday supporting small businesses with handmade items. I was so happy when I got the chance to set up my little handmade jewelry store at the artisan market on Thursday. I had a great experience. I encourage you to check out The Li'l book bug. read more

Service was terrible they were quite racist and discriminative with customers. Owners were disrespectful, and lady was rude acting like a karen with a camera in my face. Did not appreciate would highly reconsider coming here due to their recent behaviors wouldn't want that for anyone. read more

This store is completely unorganized and is in a constant state of being a hot mess. Lots of sections blocked off with signs saying DO NOT TOUCH! My biggest pet peeve that prevents me from buying much from this bookstore is that they put a label with the store's info on the first page of every book. WHY? The label cannot be removed and ruins the books. Why not put the label on the front or back cover so it can be removed? New books are overpriced and you can't use trade credit on them at all. And on the used books that you can use trade credit, you can only apply trade credit to pay for 1/2 of the price of the book. Also, the owner of this bookstore has RAIDED library sales, even on days when "no dealers" are allowed. And then has the audacity to pitch her bookstore while people stand there in shock by the greediness of her stockpiling books. read more

A cute bookstore. They also sell jewelry and crystals. They have events from time to time.

Absolutely love this place. Friendly people. Love the various events that are hosted here.

Okay this place is so dang cute! They have a book for literally everyone and the atmosphere is so cozy. The only other thing they need is an attached coffee shop! (but I'm sure they wouldn't be able to get me to leave if that were the case). When you first walk in, the yummy scent of movie theatre popcorn hits you and then you see all the amazing books ( and amazing prices), it's just heavenly. If you are in town and looking for an extremely unique and original place, then this is where you should go! read more

This place is a cluttered nightmare. There are areas where you can't shop, much less get through. How the Fire Marshall allowed this I don't know! The selection in general seems lacking. Unless you're into Romance novels, there really is little else to select from and the remaining selection is rather lackluster at best. Plus the shop seems to have an identity crisis. Is it a bookstore? A plant store? A new age store? A general gift shop? It's ridiculous. Plus, the woman "working" there when we went in was far too busy sitting, ignoring customers, and scrolling on her phone to answer any questions. I'm not sure if it was the owner or an employee but she was rude nevertheless. I left with a bad taste in my mouth. There are other used bookstores a little further away in the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys that I know have a better selection, a friendlier staff, AND better organizational skills. I don't want to have to wade through boxes of DO NOT TOUCH, tables of overpriced rocks, and other such nonsense to try to buy some books. read more

Was greeted nicely by two men (don't know if their the owners) i wanted to get some crystals but initially went in to see the plants, thought they might be selling them since their on display in the windows and throughout the store. I asked the lady in the back (probably the owner) if they were selling them she was rude and told me "no those are ours go to Lowe's" ?? Didn't even buy the crystals, i was trying to support a small business but not today. Here's a tip add a sign next to the plants on display and around the store that they are not for sale so people won't have to deal with your attitude :) won't be back read more

Haven't seen any books worth buying in this place. Trashy romance books dominate the stalls. Saw some Shakespeare, and they are overpriced. Boxes litter the floor and areas cordoned off. Is it a used bookstore or a wanna be boutique shop? Been in this place three times and came out empty handed each time. Not worth checking out unless you like romance books. read more

Great book store! They have a very good sized collection of books and a lot of genres to pick from. The prices are amazing and not just for the books! They also sell shawls, soaps, jewelry, candles, etc. It's a very nice place, I have bought a lot of books from here and will continue to! read more

Cute little store. They're in the come-up. Definitely a place to try if you're a local or driving through! Decent sci-fi /fantasy selection

I love this bookstore, it's small but very quaint and the employees are very nice and helpful. I love the fact they have signed children's books from local authors. My wife really likes that they sell more than just books, the items like the scarves, bracelets, zippered bags, etc. make it a very unique place to shop. read more

This is a cute place to stop by and look around when you're walking the boulevard. They have used books for practically nothing and new ones as well. Everything is divided by section. Even a section for local authors which I think is awesome. They support local small vendors and sell their goodies like soaps, scented candles, jewelry, pouches, and bath bombs. read more

I am in love with this bookstore. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help you find your favorite author, title, or character. They go above and beyond for their customers. Lil' Book Bug has easily become my favorite store on the BLVD and in Lancaster, providing a very down to earth bookstore experience. Every week they have new authors and titles coming in too. I highly recommend Lil' Book Bug to all reading enthusiasts and bookworms. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I contacted the bookstore to drop off many of my sellers, anthologies, book series all of in excellent condition. When I showed up, the owner Rochelle came out and instead of helping me unload the books from the trunk of my car, stood there and started judging my books. I helped her carry a few bags in and she told me many of my books weren't good enough. I politely stated that if she didn't want my books I would gladly donate them where they are welcomed. With a passive aggressive tone she told me nobody would want my books. She walked away and took a call totally aloof. I asked for a moment of her time to express express my self. She refused to listen. Instead she interrupted me constantly, and tried to gaslight me. She told me she was fine and I was the one with the problem. I refused to let her unload her negative attitude on me. Since she continued to talk over me, I simply stated the truth, she is a rude and ungrateful person. I contacted the friends of the library. They were grateful for my books, and mentioned that my books were in great condition and worthy of being sold to raise funds for the library. I spoke to them about Rochelle and they disclosed she purchases books from the Lancaster library to sell in her store. This validated that my books were wanted elsewhere, so Rochelle was just being a jerk. In a nutshell, Rochelle wouldn't know a good book if it looked her in the face. She comes off as stuck up, like she's the queen of the used bookstore business and it's all an act. She tried to put me down and was totally neurotic and judgmental of my kind act. I think that says a lot about her personality. I would not recommend this bookstore, on top of all this it sells lame romance novels. It doesn't sell classics, must-reads or anything intellectual. It's all a front just like the owner's terrible and ungrateful attitude. Donate your books to the library and save yourself a terrible experience with this ignorant lady. read more

They don't have a large YA area but the few books they have are great picks, and the doggie is so cute and friendly.

I was so happy to see a little book shop on the Blvd but quickly became disappointed! The owner of the store is rude and unhelpful and i will not longer return because of her nasty attitude! Overheard heard the way she spoke to her employees while i was there and i did not like that at all! I support local business but walked away from this place with such a bad feeling. read more

I love this little corner. I have found a book here and there, but I mostly go just to browse. Being an avid reader, I just enjoy browsing small bookstores. This particular bookstore also sells many artisanal products and forms of art. I have read some of the other reviews and am so glad I have yet to come across the "rude owner". At this point, I'm not even sure who the owner is, as I have seen different individuals each time I go in. Maybe there's a new owner now, as I haven't overheard anyone degrading employees. That I do not stand for and will not return on principle! Business owners must understand that they are in the public eye and it is imperative they treat their employees well. Anyway, if you have some time to kill, I suggest perusing the shelves. read more

I have been to the Palmdale Li'l Book Bug store many times and was super excited to hear about the new location. There are books everywhere you look! It's a really cool place to find all sorts of books and they even have some gifts that you can purchase. The owner and the staff are some of the most friendly people you could ever meet, offering suggestions of different books to read, to letting me know which movie I should check out at the movie theater in the building. The owner Rosechel is also very knowledgeable about romance novels and even shared some stories about authors she had met at various book conventions. Overall this is a great place to find a good book and relax, maybe even watch a movie or two! read more
