I took my little girl in two years ago and getting her sized for shoes and finding the shoe she wanted left me feeling blah. So we've not been going as much. But my wife told me to buy her Vans, so we went. We were greeted the moment we walked in. The two gentleman were not intrusive but offered to size my daughter up and showed us what selection they had. They weren't pushy at all. They told us if we didn't find the shoe, they could order it in store to have it delivered and we could pick it up another day. After not finding the right shoe they answered questions about the website and invited us back. So I went home and ordered the shoes my daughter wanted... and then I ordered a second pair. The first pair was available the same day. Of course they welcomed us back and helped us out right away. The second pair wasn't in stock but I was able to track the fed ex shipment. I called after they were delivered and they looked for me and had them waiting when I showed up. The cashiers weren't the same ones but just as helpful. I think I had interactions with 4 different employees and every one of them were helpful, cheerful and acted as if they loved their job. I'm glad I went back and found this store is improving.

I was returning a pair after just 6 days (with receipt, the barcode tag and shoebox), because trying the shoes gave me feet pain. He decided it wasn't in its "original" condition even if there was no damage and had only been used ONCE. I think he saw some dust and freaked out #eyeroll ...Yeah, this is how ridiculous this place is! I mean, how was I suppose to know the shoes would hurt me after being in it if I never walked in it?? Did that dude expect me to return them within the same week of it just sitting on a shelf at home?! That's asinine! Luckily tho, I was able to return the item to their Lancaster store, thanks to Scott! So, WSS Corporate, if you're reading this, you did something right by hiring that man! While they have a large selection of clothing, frequent new inventory, and a staff that has generally been friendly, the overall experience has been disappointing. The biggest issue is the lack of quality control. On my most recent visit, I purchased two shirts and a pair of shorts. One of the shirts had a terrible odor that didnt bother me at first but I noticed it a lot more when I got home. Even after washing it, the smell wouldn't come out. In fact, it became even stronger in the heat - it smelled like a mix of cigarette smoke and mildew. It's so bad it's unwearable. Really wanted to like it too. The shorts were another disappointment. They were sold to me with the security tag still attached. Since I needed them for the weekend, I tried removing the magnetic tag myself rather than making another trip to the store. Unfortunately, the tag broke and ended up damaging the shorts, leaving them unwearable. To make matters worse, the cashier also didn't honor the advertised 30% discount on shorts. I didn't notice until after the transaction, which only added to my frustration. The only reason I'm not giving this store one star is because I did find one shirt that I genuinely liked. Every once in a while, you can come across a good find, and the prices aren't outrageous. However, between the inconsistent quality, items being sold in poor condition, forgotten security tags, and advertised discounts not being honored, I can't recommend shopping here. There are better thrift stores that offer more reliable quality and a better overall experience.
