Writing this review after my daughter hit her head on a stack of shelves on the floor. On the 21st of May my parents, 2 kids and myself went into the store to sell some items. The lady working there looked and picked items she was interest in. After she picked and I got my total amount, I decided to walk around with my mom and kids and picked a few clothes that I was interested in. As I was getting ready to walk to the register to pay, I see my daughter, who was with my mother at the time, walking towards me with a doll in her hand that she was interested in. She trips, falls and bangs her head on a stack of disassembled shelves on the floor sticking out from under a clothing rack. The loud bang of my daughter's head hitting the stack of shelves made my heart sink to my stomach. I dropped what I had in my hands, grab her and attempted to console her. As I walked to the counter to get some help, I look in the direction of the 3 people behind the register, two young adults and the cashier who was much older, and no one seems to have the slightest concern, all of them staring at their phone. I get closer to them as my child was screaming in pain and asked for an ice pack, the cashier look at me and said "noooo" in a voice I could only describe as indifferent. At this point I'm in a panic because I start seeing some blood unaware how big the gash could be. I then ask this group that still had not moved from where they were if they had paper towels because my daughter was bleeding, she replies with the same callous manner "in the bathroom" and points to the bathroom. I quickly walk over to where she points, open the door reach under the paper towel dispenser and no paper towels! Thank god there was a basket of diapers. Which luckily I saw a packaged single diaper, opened it and put pressure on my daughter's head. Walked out of the bathroom and glanced and these people were still on their phones! I rushed my daughter to urgent care. I went in the next day to speak to someone in charge. The only person there was a younger cashier that wasn't there the day before. After asking her about who may have worked the day before she tells me she thinks it was the OWNER OF THE STORE! She thinks it's the owner because there are only 3 women that work at the store, and that my description fits that of the owners. My anger and frustration stems from this owner not caring about her customers. I'm all about supporting small business but if this is how you are going to treat your community, no thank you. I would feel different if this was a regular department store, but this is a kid's store with toys, clothes and furniture all catered to children. Even the colorful sign makes it seem like this is a kid friendly environment. After my daughter and I finally settled down, I noticed on my receipt that she did not credit me for a "Fisher-Price Hot Wheels racing loop ramp." I was credited for my items way before my child fell so she couldn't have just forgotten in all the commotion, not that it would have phased her anyways. At the time I am typing this up 3 weeks have past and the toy has been posted, I have not been called or notified of the mistake, so she is 100% knowingly selling a item she has stolen from me. Unkept bathrooms, no first aid or ice packs, stacked up shelves stored on the sales floor, stealing from customers? If this owner cared about the community that's funding her business, this injury could have been 100% preventable and would have kept a customer. When wanting to consign I HIGHLY RECOMMEND calling ahead! I have tried to bring stuff in and was told they weren't consigning that day due to a sale. Have been dealing with them charging me for an item and instead of showing me a receipt that says they did not charge me they are not threatening to sue me for my reviews , here is proof they are unable to give me any information on what i was charged , proof of my receipt , proof they called me unknown so i cant report that they are now harassing me . Saying they are a ministry so they dont have to show us proof of what we purchased if i new they were using the non profit thing as a get around of good business i would have definitely never went in the first place . They cant tell you what ministry they are associated with or anything else instead they argue about how the bbb wont help me get my money and how i will not get an itemized receipt unless i sue them which is crazy , the other comments are right , all toys i bought i had to scrub clean with bleach because there was snot and many other nasty stuff in them , the girls were rude they argue with customers and truly are only in it for the money which is why they want me to sue over a 12$ item instead of having good business morals . I see why the place has gone so far down hill. read more

This was my first time at New 4U and I had a great experience. I went to look for shoes for my kids since school is just around the corner. We found an almost brand new pair of Sketchers Twinkle Toes high tops! I also found some size 6 long pants and sweats for my son since his size 5s are too short. Anyway, when I brought my items to the register the cashier told me that everything was 40% off that day! I was so glad that I went when I did! My daughter is now 3 and I come here shopping all the time! I've gotten great deals on shoes, jackets, pajamas, books, toys, the cutest outfits, and most recently an outside trampoline and jungle gym! When I went in to sell a few of my baby items, I was told they are no longer buying items as they are full, I had called the day before and was told by the girl on the on the phone that they only do walk in on Wednesday l. She never said anything about a sign up sheet, just to let all in between the hours. I waisted gas driving from east Palmdale. I've been coming here for about 4 years now, ever since I discovered the place. I've bought and sold so many toys, clothing, and shoes. I love that this place exists. Ever since my son started school when he was 2 and hitting the playgrounds daily, I've pretty much bought most of his school clothes from here, pants especially. He is now 4 and has continued to tear up shoes and pants up like the active little boy that he is. I love that I can find good and like new items for such a great price. You would think he does baseball slides every 5 minutes, the way the knees of his pants are after just one or two wears?? The ladies that work there are always nice and welcoming as well, past and present as some have come and gone. Definitely recommend this place, if you're not that "omg, it's used" type of person. Don't come here if you are looking for QUALITY used clothing. Yes their prices are really cheap but there is a reason for that. They do not check the items that are being consigned for cleanliness and basic things like buttons. I would never buy any toys or baby items from here either...and the shoes...forget it. I know that kids and especially babies go through clothes rather quickly, but c'mon. I bought a pair of shorts for my 3 year old and the front looked good, but when I got home there were stains all over the back that would not come out. I also purchased a pair of shorts for my 6 year old and they have a tie belt so as I was about to put them on my daughter I noticed that there was a button hole ,but no button! The employees ignore you and the environment is not welcoming. I really love that I found this store, and wish I would have known about it with my previous sons, I actually stumbled upon them via craigslist but was very happy to sign up to their e-mail list and go in when they had their buy one get one for a penny sale last week. It's very organized, and the quality of everything is amazing! I bought my unborn son about 10 or 11 very cute outfits (some were overalls with the shirt included) and two beautiful baby blankets all for 21$! I know it may seem like nothing to some people, but it was dirt cheap to me esp. considering the quality. The people there are also very, very welcoming and friendly. I've purchased items in the past and received a bit of an attitude but I just always thought it was that they were busy and never thought too much on it but now with the last few times that I've made phone calls to speak to them I felt I really had to share my experience.. It's impossible to get in to sell any items so we're in June and I have an appointment in October!!.. Then they have a long list of set of rules of when, how, and also specifics in what items they'll purchase and every time you call to check if they have room the rules change and from what the last person I talked to told me I guess it depends on who you speak to..
