My 1st visit to a Walmart supercenter and I was pleasantly surprised. This enormous store was filled with grocery and holiday items. The staff was really eager to help me find gluten free brownie mix that a colleague wanted for a holiday party Monday. I came here few times prior to covid when it opened all night long. I used to browse at this Walmart Superstore after work or after movies at MarqE theater. Service was so-so. I would give 0 stars if I could. It's a shame when the customer service employees get 5 stars for trying to help. The managers need to learn care and concern for every day hardworking people. They didn't even try to help. I called Walmart service and they sent me a return code for an item I purchased and they would not allow the return. First they stated the item was from the electronic department so it had to be in it's original packaging. I told them it was a gift and I didn't have it. Then they stated it was purchased 30 days ago so I couldn't return it because it was AGAINST" WALMARTS POLICY". I spoke again with Walmart customer service and they said that's true. First I met with some lady that said she was a manager They made me wait over an hour for another manager that never showed. Jovany said he was one of the and I just flagged him down by chance. It doesn't cost anything to be humane and kind! These people treated like a common criminal even though I did everything WALMART customer service told me to do. I spent my hard earned money for a gift for my grandson and it's sad that instead of trying to make it right they showed no compassion for my situation! I worked in customer service for 10 years and they definitely need training. I understand you can't please everyone but you can show concern and try to make things right. Auto Care / Tires - Katy Super Center Customer service today is something else. Called Walmart two days in a row to verify that the my car tires online were available. No one ever picked up not even AI. Called Discount tire once , someone answer on second ring. The work associate verified car model and tire required to fit vehicle and that they had the tire in stock at his store . Also he set up a appoint for 9am that morning. All this in 5min on phone. Cost of tires were the same ... but Discount Tire's One on One customer service won over! Just saying . read more

I'm giving a 2 because I received most of my orders. I have so many bad experiences with all the Walmart's but I find them the least expensive for food shopping. So I have decided not to put in a Tip until after delivery. So on every order there is something missing. I'm wondering because I don't tip up front the drivers are taking something or the inside help is just missing something. I really don't believe that's the case. I reported it to management today because it keeps happening. They do arrive on time. They follow instructions for as ringing the doorbell after delivery. I wanted to get a lock and some beach towels for a trip to the sauna, but I couldn't find either of these at this Walmart. Order from these folks at your own risk. Actually, don't order from them. Interesting, the email I received from them says "In-store returns are easy" Uh no. So here's the story. I purchased a set of 4 patio dining chairs and the chairs were so uncomfortable when they arrived, that I wanted to return them 1. Went to the first Walmart store to return and unloaded the chairs going into the store. The returns desk told me their machine had been broken for months and had no clue when it would be fixed. (Walmart on Westview and Beltway 8) 2. Went to the second Walmart store to return and unloaded the chairs going into the store. The returns desk told RUDELY - couldn't I see their systems were down? Obviously no I couldn't.(Walmart on Silber Road just north of I-10) 3. Called Walmart #3 on Yale and 1-10 and the phone rang for five more minutes with no one ever answering. 4 Called Walmart #4 on S Rice Blvd and the phone rang for five more minutes with no one ever answering. So I took the chairs home and decided to do an online return. Was on the phone for a TON of time and they finally told me they would send someone to pick them up and gave me $25 gift card for my trouble. At this point, I am 3 hours into the process and lord knows how much gas. I don't think $25 is much of a consolation prize. I waited a couple of days and NO one picked up the chairs. Called again. This person told me the first person had only done a return on two of the chairs but she was there to fix it. She scheduled the US Post Office to pick the chairs up. I said where is the shipping label. She said you don't need a shipping label just the bar code. The Postman looked suspicious also. Good to know I am not the only one worried about my $225 return. He took them on the truck and said they would probably be returned back to me. Today I called yet again and this time, thinking I would get better service if I asked to speak to a supervisor. Uh no. His response was where are the chairs? I said I sent them with the person you schedule to pick them up. He said how do I know? I said your agent scheduled them. He said I don't see anything in the system. Not sure how I can help. I said "dude, you have to be kidding me!". He said what did you call me? I said dude. I know dude has four letters but I don't consider that a four letter word. Finally he said he will have to check with the billing department. I write this story as a warning to NEVER order things from WalMart online. NEVER. God only knows where my chairs are but I took a picture of them being loaded on the Post Office vehicle. read more

Wanted to buy a pet whale. Lots of them in America I hear. Big obesity problem. Came here. Didn't have any for sale. Should have gone to Whalemart. It's definitely not my favourite Walmart - but is there such thing as a favourite Walmart? I would hope not... It seems pretty new although I have no idea whether it is. It's a little hard to get to, close to 610 and 10, but with so many exits and junctions around here, finding a way on to the various freeways or off of them can be a little challenging. This Wal Mart had everything that I needed to refill my supplies during my road trip. We definitely were able to find everything however it is a bit messy in there. Tons and tons of boxes along the aisles waiting to be setup on shelves. And it was very busy, tons of people shopping. We had to park kind of far but I get it, its Wal Mart! So, ordering tires online at the Walmart on Kirkwood & Westheimer.....BIG MISTAKE. I purchased the tires & mounting service fees for 4 tires at 9 am on Friday for installation the next day at noon. The payment was debited from my bank account. I received a text/email 6 hours later saying my tire order was CANCELLED because they're out of stock on the tires I ordered a few hours previous. REALLY??!! Why does it take 6 hours to notify me they are out of stock??? Walmart had no problem taking my money right away, but a huge problem delivering. The worst part is I have to wait a week to get reimbursed for something I never received. Needless to say, I'm going to leave my future vehicle tire purchases to the professionals. read more

With Walmart having everything under the sun to purchase. I wish the lines could move faster. Have you ever wondered why they have so many lanes and only open a few? I assume it's to get you to look at more items to purchase while waiting in line. I love to huge amount of different types of items they offer from vegetables to car repair, that is a huge range. Eye exams, banking, nail shop, Subway. You name it it's there. They even sale cars now. What is next a movie theater? Lol. Walmart has everything and I a one-stop get it all store. My only draw back is the long wait to check out. Oh and it is really hard to get help. They have a lot of workers walking around but no one ever asks if you need help or assistance. You have to run them down and then they tell you they will bring someone back that works in the department you are in. A vicious cycle. read more

This Walmart is more concerned about the almighty dollar than the safety of their customers. A friend of mine's daughter went here to purchase a few things. She started getting stalked on the inside of the store as this person followed her throughout the store. When she checked out she asked the manager to walk her out since she was afraid of her own safety. The manager replied that he didn't want to get in a fight with that guy. WOW where are the men in society today !! There is more security on the inside of Walmart than the outside. Not 1 MAN could stand up to walk her to her car. I and my family will never shop at Walmart again anywhere. If Walmart is more concerned about the dollar than a customer then no one should shop there for safety reasons. You can't even protect yourself in the parking lot on the way out to your vehicle since you unable to enter the store with a concealed weapon that you are licensed for. Your safer in the store than the parking lot. Walmart has signs that say they are not responsible for anything that happens in the parking lot. There is more security on the inside of the store for theft than in the parking lot for safety. Now the young lady thinks it was her fault that this happened. My family was friends with Sam Walton years ago before he passed away. He would have taken care of this. Needless to say I have a voice that will echo that Walmart will NEVER see my business as well as the people that know about this incident. I would rather spend more money for safety at HEB than to spend any money at a Walmart again. Do not come here if you need to return something. I needed to return an item but didn't have a receipt. Online it states: "I f you don't have your receipt, show us your valid, government-issued photo ID. If your ID information matches with the one stored in our secure database, your return will be accepted. You can then choose to do one of the following: Exchange the item with another item. Get a cash refund if the returned item is less than $10. Get a Walmart shopping card or gift card if the returned item is equal to or more than $10." They do not follow this. They refuse to give me a refund and the worker who was telling us no turned his name badge around so we could not say who it was. He works at the front in customer service. The manager tells us that every store has a different policy. Then why does the website not state this? They just don't want to return the item. I even tried to exchange it like the policy states and they called asset protection. This is ridiculous and corporate needs to look into this shady situation. read more

I told the Store Associate clearly that I received it as a gift and I didn't have a receipt. However, I wanted to return it for store credit. The Store Associate was aware of it; however, she processed the refund to go back to the original payment. At first, she confirmed it was not her fault and blamed it on the system error. She also told me that there was nothing she could do because the refund already went back to the original payment, which is my friends debit card. Then, I called online customer service and explained what happened. They understood the situation but there is nothing they could do because the refund already went back to the original payment and it was already handled at the store level. From the conversation with the online customer service, I figured out that the Store Associate should have processed it as a return without a receipt and get my Driver License information instead of trying to look for a PO# on the box/shipping label and process the return that way. Overall, since The Store Associate said it is not her fault, I am just wondering whose fault is it? Is it because Walmart does not provide that Store Associate the appropriate trainings that she needed to or the Store Associare just did not pay attention during the training. This is the go-to Walmart for my pops in H-Town. This location is stocked a lot better than our Walmart back home. I wish we had more summer/seasonal goods back home like this location. I chilled in a tailgating chair with cool hand warmers while Dad found a Batman window sun shade for his Batmobile and a few other odd items. I snapped a photo of some fun looking bumper balls but they were out of my price range for useless items that look really really really fun. We checked out in their gardening section with a very interesting gentleman (with no affiliation to Walmart) asking me about my time in Walmart and life in general, answering questions regarding Walmart, and informing me that he's been there for three hours wandering the sections with staff eyeing him. Erm, if you've got a guy in your store for over three hours that looks like this gentleman trying to pick up on chicks with wedding rings...you should probably buzz security. Each time I have had the pleasure of coming here, my car has never been nearly smashed into, the parking I have had is better than pregnant lady parking, and the greeter is smiling at me greeting me into the store. I have never waited for a line - in fact I just set my stuff down like I'm VIP or something and they ring me up faster than I can get my things on the conveyer belt! They even asked me how I was doing. I thought it was a fluke the first time, but it has happened multiple times, in multiple departments each time I have visited. I don't know what to say folks. It scares me frankly. This is the best Wal Mart I have ever been to. Let's keep it that way! read more

I normally go to the one in Northwest Crossing, but I came by because I was going home from the gym and this Walmart was in the way home. This is a way much better Walmart than the one close to my house. There are a lot more cashiers available so you don't see the long lines Thank goodness. And this is by far one of the cleanest and one of the most organized Walmart's I have been to. There is a greeter when you enter the Doors not a lot of the other Walmart's have that so that's good. The signs are up to date and that's so useful because I can't stand when you go to the cashier and they say, "oh this special is no longer available". Well it is up right over there!!! See it?!! I tried to return something as simple as a tainted box of Cheerios this morning. The returns desk was unable to look up the four dollar item on my credit card, and therefore was unwilling to exchange it. The indifference and lack of judgment exercised on something related to a tainted product was surprising. At least I can be thankful that my kids did not get sick from this product. Needless to say I left the store displeased with their response to the issue. At least I saved several hundred dollars by not shopping for the things I originally came to shop for. Maybe therein lies the silver lining? There may be additional training needed at the returns desk related to tainted product issues. I could have spent another hour proving that their system was just not identifying the purchase, but I did my own cost-benefit analysis and left...it just wasn't worth the stress. read more

Let me start by saying I can't give any Walmart more than 3 stars no matter how clean or well managed it is and I will say this is one of the better ones I've been to. I usually come to this location out of conveniences since it's close to my hotel. It wasn't crowded they had ample check out stations open and the staff seemed really pleasant.
