After I finished my shopping today, I headed back to my vehicle and found that it wouldn't start. I was hoping it was just a dead battery, so I went inside the store to see if someone in the Auto Care Center could jump off my truck. I spoke to a nice young man, Zach, and he immediately said he would help out, fetched his mechanism to charge my battery, and went outside with me. He jumped it off and I was soon on may way again. We live near the Hillsboro store. We are an elderly couple and my husband is a disabled veteran. We shop at Walmart quite often. I have enjoyed their online ordering and line pick up. They are efficient and organized. They advertise delivery service for a small monthly fee. This would be a great asset for us. I called the main office and the Hillsboro store they stated they do not do deliveries. Now you advertise delivery, will charge you the monthly fee but you do not do deliveries. This I cannot understand. Yes supplies are limited, prices are sky high and you have no where near the employees that you need. I will say that you do not have near the employees you need for a store this size. I find the employees are friendly and always helpful. This place is marginal even for a Walmart, which I have zero expectations for to begin with. Went here for lack of options, needing some groceries. I made the mistake of buying sliced meat from the deli. I asked for it shaved ( sliced super thin) and got 1/2" slices, BIG difference!!! read more

I try to go super early in the morning or super late at night because when it's time to check out it takes forever . Only Wal-Mart for 30 miles. That being said you would think they would step up their game. It's always dirty, and poorly stocked, the team members are really just going through the motions. This Walmart is the worst I've seen. Too bad that we live in Hillsboro and forced to shop there occasionally. Never enough checkers! Even the self checkout areas are always backed up. Okay, so I would NEVER write a review for a walmart, but I wanted to give a big shout out to the very nice staff who work in the tire/auto section of this particular walmart. We blew a tire out on our way from Austin to Dallas on a weekend Valentine's Day trip. If the staff in the tire section had not been so quick and awesome and friendly we would have missed all of our lovey-dovey reservations for Valentine's Day in Dallas! Wish I could give this place zero stars. Has to be THE WORST Walmart I've ever been in. Sad part is I live in Hillsboro and I'm 1/4 mile from this hole. Where to start. Knowledge of the employees or lack of. Many just seem to be here for the hours and to get a check. Product is constantly on the floor and I'm not talking hours there has been times I came in several days apart and same product just still in same spot . Forget trying to find price tags id say on about 70% of items that do manage to make it to a shelf. Staff that works in their eye lab dept. Your better off just going to waco the employees here will barely come out to answer a question. Cleanliness is a big zero. Best yet was today. I went in to return 2 light bulbs I wanted to replace for right size. Their were 5 people waiting at customer service but the lights were off. [3PM] A lady came out all frustrated stating the lady who works customer service called in so their would be no customer service today. What kind of risky dink outfit is this. It's called cross training folks. This place needs to can the dead weight employees and hire people who may want a job. read more

This review is specifically directed towards Brad in the automotive department. He (and the whole department) went above and beyond the call of duty today. My wife, stepdaughter and myself were returning home from Waco to Dallas, and had a blow out in my supposedly "run flat" tired on our Mercedes. The Walmart auto center didn't have my tire, but, they (Brad) made calls around to local shops. We were going to get a tow to the other shop, but it would have been $165 for THREE miles. The other shop agreed to bring the tire over if WM could mount it. Brad said he could. He was with us EVERY step of the way. Definitely a lifesaver today. read more

I bought a pre-made salad today and when I opened it at lunch, the salad smelled horrible and it was watery and brown. Very disappointed!

It was 104 degrees when just 4 hours into a 33 hr drive to California pulling a flatbed full of our kids toys (jungle gym, motorized jeeps, go carts, waterskiis, etc) when we had a blowout. We only had one spare, so needed to replace our spare prior to moving on again. It was 6:34pm when we had the blowout. While my husband was changing the tire, I called a few local tire shops. They either didn't have the tire we needed, or didn't answer their phone. At 6:48 I called Walmart tire dept of Hilsboro and spoke to Chuck. He said he had one, but would be closing at 7:00pm. I begged him to wait for us. I told him according to GPS we were 11 minutes away, 11 miles south on I35. He told me he would pass the info on to the service staff and that they would try to wait for us. After tightening up the spare and getting back on the road, we arrived at Walmart at 7:08. It was beautiful! The auto bay doors were still open and they WERE waiting for us. By 7:45pm we had our new spare and the pressure in all of our other tires checked. I LOVE those that go the extra mile and don't just consider clocking in and clocking out to earn a paycheck. Thank you to the service guy that repaired our tire and allowed us to get moving safely on our way. I think his name was Reggie, but I can not remember. Thank you! THANK YOU! Hillsboro Walmart Tire & Lube is atrocious. I got there with only one car next to me & no one ahead of me. I walked around the store for 45 minutes & thought surely I missed them calling my name. I come back to the desk & the lady says "almost done" & goes outside. That's when I see them pull my car into the bay. 45 MINUTES?! And all I needed was a patched tire! I've now been here for an hour and 15 minutes & it's still not ready. WTF?! The hours of operation HAVE to be the only thing keeping their business. But I'll find time to find someone else for tires & oil. This is ridiculous... read more

the lady working at the self check out next to subway. at 1:45pm on 8-25-18 was rude about me buying my beer..took my beer because my wife didn't have her id..i get that but I'm drinking the beer..then decided to snatch the beer from my basket. all she had to do was ask for it. not be a bitch about it. and don't reach in someones basket that's how you get yourself in a situation you can't get out of. This is a so so Walmart. , but if you need help ;you cant find it. When they do call for help for you ; no one shows up to help. Then you are standing there like a dummy looking for someone to help you. What happened to the people with the smocks saying on their backs;; ; HOW MAY I HELP YOU? . UGH!! When you ask a employee about something; they say I dont know ; I dont have anything to with that. I have found a few rude employees at this store. If they dont know anything about where they work ; they need to learn ; or not work there at all. DUH!!!! :O I noticed alot of employees are walking around talking with other employees or texting on their phones. But they cant help you or help you to locate something you need. You say excuse me ; excuse me can you help me; its like pulling teeth or they give you a look like ; o brother ; now what?? Then one day I took in a food flyer from another food chain, and the cashier was rude ; hateful ; She said we dont honor other food store sales, but its posted clearly on tv, ads, and the store signs ; they do. Ignorant cashier ; she needs to get up to speed on where she works or something. It seems they are there for the paycheck and thats all. WHATS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE??? WALMART ALWAYS STATES THAT THEY WILL NOT BE UNDERSOLD, THEY HONOR ALL GROCERY STORE ADS, ETC . WITH THE LOWER PRICE. GET WITH THE WALMART PROGRAM ;EMPLOYEES!! The lanes are fewer and few between sometimes when you try to check out; I see customers standing around to get service ;all the while employees standing elsewhere talking to each other. I encountered two of the most uncaring people at tire department at this Auto center. My mom and I am traveling back to Louisiana from Austin after caring for a family member. My mom got something stuck in her tire. We saw the Wal-Mart and came over to have the tire repaired or replaced. The first young lady looked at her watch when we pulled up and approached her, I guess because it was 5:50 and they closed at 6:00. She informed us they could take care of the tire but it would be a while. Because it was Sunday and not a lot of options would be available, I asked if she could have someone look at the tire to make sure they have the size and we were not waiting for nothing. She said no, I asked for the manager to explain if they didn't have the tire we needed to find someone who could help at this hour on a Sunday. He was laughing with another employee and had no desire to speak with us. He finally reluctantly came and said they didn't carry the tire my mom needed. Because it's a common size tire I called the store and asked for the service department and asked in general if they carry that particular tire size and to my delight the young lady that answered the phone said yes. Long story short, Thank God for favor that my mom didn't have a blowout, Thank God for on star road side service. Thank God for smarts, I will be calling Wal-Mart's Corp office first thing in the morning! Try Hillsboro Wal-Mart Auto Center at your own risk! read more
