I was shopping in Walmart last night, 03/09/26, and the announcements were in Spanish. I'm old so I thought I had somehow ended up in Mexico. I asked the self-service employee why the announcements were in Spanish. He said that they have a lot of Hispanics shopping there. I said you mean illegals cause if you're an American you have to know English. He just shrugged his shoulders. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT WALMART AGAIN. I purchased a set of tires on line form Walmart, I spent about $460. The tires themselves came form a company called Priority Tire but were purchased through the Walmart web site. The tires were shipped to my home, I loaded them in my wife's car and she drove to the Helena Walmart to have them installed. The tires were purchased in February of 2025, by October they were shot, tread down to the wear bars with about 14,000 miles on the tires. I called customer care, the first time, they documented everything and said they would now deal with Priority tire. After about a week I received no email, no phone calls so I called back customer care and spoke with James (probably not his real name) after about 15 minutes on the phone with him he came back and said my local Walmart will be calling me within 45 minutes to an hour. Big surprise no call. After numerous times calling my local Walmart I finally got someone to answer a phone, spoke to a store lead who got me in touch with the service center manager. I explained all this to him and was basically told that customer care just passed the buck because they didn't want to deal with it. Bottom line after sending Priority tire photos of the tires they also said they wanted proof that it was a manufacturer defect, they also wanted me to go buy a tire tread depth gauge and measure the tread. I said you have the pics of the tires you can plainly see there is no tread left to measure. There is more to this story but I have covered the highlights. Lesson learned, I will from this point do business locally and pay a little more for a product that they will actually stand behind, which I did, went to a small tire shop here in our small town and paid around $700 for new tires, but they will stand behind their product. My advice don't buy online from Walmart, especially on line their customer care department is a joke, I have had far better luck with Amazon. read more

I came here in late February, just to look around, compare prices and see what they had. The main thing I was looking for was souvenir type items. The areas I was in were stocked ok and there was a good supply of items. I was about to leave when I happened to see a small area with a shirt hanging up. As I got closer, I found they had a nice selection of gifts, clothing, magnets, etc. I would suggest they put this area in a more prominent area of the store. I almost missed it! Good day! The automotive dept in Walmart here in Helena has been friendly and helpful however the other day I had a my new tires put on which I paid for the day before, well I guess the employee/tech, was new or something and billed me for having the tires put on as if I purchased them somewhere else? Not sure cause I really never got an explanation. They were busy and short. I had to talk to three different shop people. One of them left me hanging saying he had other customers!! When it finally was resolved I did not get an apology or thanks for your business from the shop manager. Walmart in Helena, MT is an alright walk-in store. It's redesigned 2025 model is neat and more comfortable but I would rather shop anywhere else at this point. Pros: New design, self driving carts, stylish clothes, 24 hours free parking, Cats and Griz or select Montana items, cute decor, inexpensive, groceries. 2/5 stars Cons: The Walmart+ (DELIVERY & DEALS SUBSCRIPTION) a dark sky without the moon or any stars. 0/5 I am missing my money, food, good times, EBT credit, Gift Card, and mostly respect for one another. 3 stars, not the worst but definitely not the best. By going to this Walmart expect to see kids running around, wannabe thugs, people shoplifting, and most likely a drug dealer or 2. The bad thing is the produce isn't the best, the bathrooms aren't the cleanest, and you might get jumped, but the upside is you can come here any time after 10pm and get whatever drug you need behind the store. A few months ago I came here and as I was leaving I saw something awful. An elderly gentleman was trying to come in and some young employees would not allow him, because he wasn't wearing a mask. He ended up putting on a mask and they still would not allow him to enter. I'll never forget seeing those young men pushing an shoving an elderly man. Then, shortly after that my wife saw a few young woman who were told to leave the store as they were attempting to pay. Why? Because one of them pulled her mask down slightly. The last 2 times Ive used the tire center I'm given an appointment which I arrive to on time. Today I was messaged over an hour after drop off that they were just starting. This time it took them an 2 hours to complete putting on one new tire. Last time it was 3 1/2 hours for 4 Tires. We will not be coming back here. To add on everyone we talked wouldnt look directly at me and was super rude. Just asking where the oil I wanted to buy resulted in an attitude. read more

The grocery pickup is a joke!!! I placed my order at 8 am for a pick up at 6pm. I have to drive 45 minutes to get here, I have waited an hour n half for my order, people have come n gone, they've charged my card, and now the kid says my order isnt going to be ready tonight. I've had to keep my car idling so i wouldn't freeze, so now I'm wasting my gas as well!!! Sooooooo mad! Update, 2 hours after my order was supposed to be ready, after i had to talk to the manager, I was able to drive away. But of course noooo discount on my order. This location is the epitome of a low wage unmotivated culture. If you order to pickup goods (not groceries), expect a wait of 20 minutes or more. You used to go to the back by the bathrooms, talk to someone and get your order in maybe 5 minutes. Now, the touch screen up front logs you in and supposedly notifies someone in back to bring the order. They put that in long before Covid, by the way. It's horrible. I'm done ordering with Walmart, if I absolutely have to have it, I'll save 17 minutes and go get it myself. Most employees in this store walk around like they are 90 because at the end of the day, they still have to work at Wallyville. There is NO incentive for them to hustle. Bonus to the manager of this joint, shutting down an exit and making the place a maze because of Covid.. Yeah, that will reduce the virus, genius! Must be a Democrat, like Governor Swastika that makes everybody wear masks, which aren't scientifically proven to do anything at all. read more

The progressive activist in me wants to give Wal-Mart one star, like it deserves. However, this was the first and only Wal-Mart I have ever ever ever been to in my life... and I LOVED it. Maybe it was because it was 2am and I was so desperate for allergy medicine that it seemed like some kind of desert oasis. Or maybe it was because I'd been in Helena (ie, the country) for a week and I desperately needed to be surrounded by THINGS again. Or maybe it was all the bright lights and the rows and rows and rows of toys and ice cream and I had the munchies. I ordered an item online for pick up and when I went to go pick up my items they didn't honor the price or amount of what the online page sold it for for the amount in which I purchased it for. The last shopping trip I took to the local Walmart confirmed the idea that you are not interested in CUSTOMER Service. There was No Cat Food on the Shelves (Just like the last two visits) there was no cat Litter (The one my you used to carry and my cat uses it) there was no Lipton's Onion Soup Mix on the shelf. In fact these shelves were almost empty. I bought my beer and milk and left the store and did find a friendly cashier to help me and did not have to use the NON-CUSTOMER Computer Check out. I deal a lot online with selling on eBay and Etsy, pay my bills online. Now I guess I go to Amazon and Chewy to shop. and go to the local grocery stores to do my other shopping. I'm not familiar with the area and didn't want to run around everywhere .. so Walmart was the perfect solution. They had everything I needed! Normally I hate wal mart. But there is a young man that works in the garden center that is SO delightful and kind. He makes going to wal mart the highlight of my day! He's very friendly and in tune to people's needs. He always remembers my name and says hi to me even when he's on break or if I see him in town! Pretty boring. Not a lot happens here, definetly could have been better. Food was poorly distributed. Place was freak central. So many out of shape people. bathrooms in the front of the store are disgusting yet the bathrooms in the back are spotless, is this intentional? It takes a lot for me to give a place a 1 star review, but this place doesn't even deserve that. While I was at this disappointment of an establishment the floors were disgusting, as in covered in mud and most possibly sweat from all there over weight workers that are too lazy to ever help me. For example I was at self check out and I needed assistance and the dumb ass of a worker didn't even notice the red flashing sign on the top of my self check out.
