It is clear that Victoria truly loves helping people find footwear that matches their goals. I discussed what I was looking for, and Victoria took that information and turned it into a shoe-finding spree! She brought out at least four pairs for me to try. She even brought out some shoes that she thought I might like based on what we talked about. My husband started talking to her, and wouldn't you know it, Victoria brought out some shoes for him, too. She never made us feel rushed or like she was trying to get us out the door. She even helped several other people while we were trying on our shoes, and all of them left with smiles on their faces. The Basecamp is so lucky to have Victoria as a stellar employee. We, as consumers, are even luckier to benefit from her extensive knowledge about footwear. Today they had better prices for adult shoes than for kids! We found the least expensive kids shoes that worked for my kids and still it was $90 for 3 pairs. Many of them were $50 per pair or more! For KIDS SHOES! Totally ridiculous. And it turned out that the prices on the boxes weren't right on all three of the shoes we bought. They were a bit cheaper, but we didn't know till the register. And to top it all off, the bathrooms were so gross they were unusable. Like BAD! My 5 year old looked at the toilet and started crying, and there WERE NO TOILET SEAT COVERS! I handed her off to my wife to try the other bathroom and she came back out immediately too, and said there was no way she or our daughter could use that bathroom. She said the toilet was so black and red inside that it couldn't have been scrubbed for a few years. I told both the people that worked there about the bathroom and they apologized but seemed way too busy to do anything about it. Just NASTY. I'll give them two stars instead of 1 because they do have a cool kids area with a TV that helps entertain the kids. Seriously though, reasonably priced kids shoes and bathrooms that don't make you throw up are required for families to visit and feel safe and comfortable.
