Sole Sisters has been a fixture in the Downtown Helena community for over 25 years and their customer service is unmatched. They offer a variety of options at all price points for all ages and sizes. The buyers have curated a collection of special pieces that are a mix of both classic and trendy. I love that they carry iconic brands such as Frye and Hobo, but also have introduced me to a diverse group of brands I've never heard of. If you want an inviting and fun experience shopping head down to their store. They also have a website, which makes shopping easy, especially now. I have shopped here on and off over the years and have never had any issues however, I did a layaway recently which included 2 winter hats and a duster. I then came in 3 weeks later to make a payment and found some other items & did a 2nd layaway which included one more hat. A few days later I decided to double check my hat collection to make sure I wasn't buying a hat similar to any I currently had and Low and behold... I had very Similar Hats in style & color as the 3 I had put in layaway. I promptly contacted the store to have them take those 3 hats out of layaway so they could sell them (we are coming into the winter season and these were winter hats). The young lady was extremely nice & needed to confirm the return with the owner (whom I have met & spoken with just about every time I had been in the store). She called me back and stated that the owner would not be able to return the 2 hats in the 1st order totaling $62.00 because it was past 10 days from the original layaway date. When I looked at my receipts for the layaway there was NO reference to layaways or the store policy on layaways! When I returned to the store there was NO posted signs regarding layaway the layaway policy. Unfortunately she would not return the 1st 2 hats. As a result I ended up paying for the first layaway,, including the two hats and I was able to cancel the 2nd layaway which included the 3rd hat. Very inconsistent! As a business owner myself I have full authority to override a policy (especially one that is not in writing) in order to make a client happy in the short term to save a long term customer. I do like the store but not sure if I will be back as I feel this situation could have been handled differently for a better outcome! Disappointed! read more

This is by far the most stylist boutique in Helena, maybe in all of Montana! I'm a Helena native but have lived in London and now live in NYC and whenever I come home for a visit I am still walking around this store going "oh my gawwwwd" at all the cute and stylish clothes and shoes! This place has a reputation for being really expensive and overpriced but this is totally false!!! Maybe in the past, but for the last 5 years at least they have had a great range in priced items... yes, there are bags and boots for $500+ (but they are BEAUTIFUL and swoonworthy!), but there are also less expensive lines, such as Toms and Ya. They also sell premium luxury denim from the likes of Joe's Jeans and Seven for all Mankind. Frye, Poetic License, and Jeffery Campbell are a few of the many stylish brands of shoes offered, and you can find practical shoes from lines such as Dansko here as well. Sole Sisters is an ideal place to buy a gift for your favorite lady (even if you are a guy, you can't go wrong here!). Not only does every local lady love this store (ladies aged 17-70, everyone loves this store!), but the friendly staff is extremely helpful and not pushy. read more

My boyfriend just moved to Helena, so while he was at work I set out to explore the downtown area in the negative degree weather. I went into Sole Sisters thinking it would be just another expensive boutique with clothes I wouldn't be caught dead in, but I was actually pleasantly surprised at what I found. I would say most of the clothes in the store are really cute and they have a lot of versatile stuff. Women young and old can find something here for them. And their prices on some stuff were awesome (though yes, they do have the expensive stuff too). There is this brand they carry called Ya that is seriously inexpensive (35-60 bucks for a cute dress) so I tried on a lot of that stuff. I ended up buying the cutest dress that was less than $40 and it wasn't even on sale or anything! Sole Sisters will definitely be on my list of stops when I come visit my boyfriend. Finally, a cute, small-town boutique that I will actually consider buying clothes from! read more

Likely the trendiest clothes in Helena. Staff is very helpful and the prices are competative. This is my wifes favorite store. Don't plan on doing much other shopping downtown. Tha parking police don't give you much time to run in and out and they WILL get you if violate their very strict time allotments. read more

Absolutely my favorite place to shop anywhere. The sales people are so incredibly helpful! They do a great job of pulling pieces that I normally wouldn't try on, but then end up loving. They are also great a suggesting gifts, if you are clueless what you should get a special lady in your life. And the price range is just what I want: a mix of quality, built to last pieces ($$$) and trendier fun cheaper items. And if you've got a non-shopper with you, the shop adjoins a bookstore, so they can browse books while you browse clothes! read more

The clothes are casual but stylish and they have great accessories. The service is friendly, helpful and laid back. I moved here from Chicago and was so pleased to find Sole Sisters. I found this store today while walking around Helena! It is such a cute boutique with a mix of very reasonably priced items and more expensive brands, which is great! The ladies who work at the store are so kind and amazing! They made my shopping trip so much more enjoyable. I didn't know it was past closing time and they did not rush me at all. Despite my best efforts to be prepared, the weather took a rather cold turn on my trip to Helena. Really frosty in the wind. As I strolled along window shopping on Last Chance Gulch, my toes were getting froze. I went in to Sole Sisters to get a pair of socks and ended up with WAY more. It's a beautiful boutique with some very nice shoes, dresses, and accessories. For a back east girl, it definitely is stylish with a slightly western vibe. Along with some funky lavender polka dot angora blend socks (ummm, warm toes!) I got some rockin' suede knee high boots with a little bit of a cowboy boot heel. And since I was trying on boots, I needed to know what they would look like with a skirt or dress, so I grabbed a dusty pink sweater dress - just to see how it would look. Well, wouldn't you know I decided THAT needed to come home with me too! My quest for socks only set me back about $300.... Oh well. I got some great things, the two shop girls were cute, friendly and helpful. And now when I wear these things I think fond thoughts of my visit to Helena. read more
