Natural Grocers is one my of favorite stores that I used to go to all the time in Oregon and Colorado. I was really excited to see that there were a couple in Montana and had to go to this location in Helena. They have the BEST body butter here (soothing touch), an amazing selection of produce, supplements and other wonderful organic products. It's cheaper than Whole Foods with more local items. 10/10 read more

Natural Grocers - Natural Foods Helena, MT - Grocery Near Me - Helena, Montana

Well stocked grocery store. Helpful service. Was happy there was a Natural Grocery in this are.

I dig this place. First time in Montana. What's a Whole Foods? I made a wrong turn and found this place by serendipity. I cheesed super hard upon entering. It had the.smell. You know that 'I'm-in-a-granola-kinda-place-smell'. A place that has essential oils diffusing throughout. Ah. I'm home, I thought. Everything I wanted and needed. Limited amount of fruits and veggies. Variety of nuts, healthy and unique snacks- some of which are local or from Portland. Vitamins. Its like a mini Whole Foods before Whole Foods was taken over by Amazon. Go there. Be happy. read more

This Natural Grocers is awesome! They had vegan products I had been looking for for years! And the cashier was so nice and polite and chatted with us about being vegan. read more

Natural Grocers - Vegan heaven! - Grocery Near Me - Helena, Montana

Love natural grocers! Way better than Whole Foods by amazon. Vegetables and fruit are always organic. And fresh. They are picky about the meats the sell and are therefore delicious. There's not much you can't get here if those things are important to you. Have one at home and was soooo happy to find it by our hotel in Helena as the restaurants here seem mediocre at best by foodie standards. :/ stocked up the here. read more

Impressed. Being in Montana I was surprised to find this gem. Very similar to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc. Apparently it's a family owned business with only a few locations. Great prices for organic and locally produced products. Small fresh produce selection. Great vegan, vegetarian options. Very large vitamin/supplement selection for prices cheaper than online. Also a very well stocked section of organic remedies and higher end beauty products. Variety of different things that you can't find at a regular grocery store such as pad Thai noodles, fresh herbs, gluten free products, etc. All in all I will probably be traveling to Helena ever so often to do my grocery shopping here. read more

What a welcome addition to Helena. Good selection of natural and organic food at reasonable prices. Fresh produce, a small but decent meat selection, and well-organized shelves. I personally would like to see bulk bins for staple items like you see at most natural food stores- they only provide pre-packaged quantities of "bulk" items. Apparently this is due to the chain's philosophy that these bins pose a food safety issue, which I respectfully disagree with. I don't do the vitamin or supplement thing so I don't know anything about that side of the store. I normally prefer a local store to a chain, but the locally-owned natural foods joint just doesn't measure up to this place. read more

The prices may be better than Helena's long-established health natural foods store. I haven't compared many. But it's selection is far more sparse, the staff seem basically relegated to checking and stocking clerks rather than real professionals, and there's neither a hot food option nor a bulk foods isle, something that for me is essential. It's prepackaged "bulk" items (such as bulk spices) seem quite stale compared to what I'm used to at any other store. read more

Excited to find this store when traveling through town. I got stocked up on some of my favorite hard to find natural food items. The bread I got ended up going bad the next day so that was a disappointment. I recommend checking expiration dates carefully. Some of my veggies stayed fresh for a several days while other went bad right away like the bread. Also remember to bring your bags. Some staff was friendly and helpful and some less so. My cashier tried packing my groceries in a long flat box across the top of my cart and he didn't offer to help me out to my car. $150 worth of food would have been all over the parking lot if I hadn't repacked it into several smaller boxes that actually fit into the cart for safe transport to car. read more

Finally! reasonable prices for healthy food! I like the deli at the Real Food Store, but I'll be doing my grocery shopping here from now on.

I have been here on May occasions and been very satisfied with the store. The staff has always been eager to help and very nice. I wish they had bigger isles though and a hot food bar but other than that can't complain. read more

Wonderful selection! Love this place. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They also carry great skincare lines that are free of parabens and artificial junk. It's nice to have this place in Helena. read more

I love this store! The selection is wonderful. The customer service is terrific. And, the prices aren't bad. In some cases, they're less than Wal-Mart. So much better than the Real Food Store. read more

I like the store very much. However I wish they were open during the early morning work commute. I also wish they had a salad bar and hot food bar. read more

AWFUL. I've never set foot in such a sloppily run establishment. Sadly, I've even gone as far as to talk to management and their management is not the least bit interested in customer service so it really did me no good to even waste my breathe with them. I forced myself to shop here for a while because their prices on some items are much better than The Real Food Store, even though I can't get out of NG without wanting to cry or punch an employee, I stuck with it. An employee of theirs insulted me to my face the other day and that sealed the deal for me, never going back no matter how good a price. It's a very small store which is fine, but they have all their employees out stocking shelves CONSTANTLY. Even during peak busy hours and they only keep 1 person on a register. I don't even know how they go through SO much product that it would justify around the clock shelf stocking. I've worked in a Mom & Pop grocery store not much bigger than this store and we stocked during off peak hours and we never once ran out of any product because the shelves hadn't been stocked since 6 o'clock that morning. I've also never seen The Real Food Store employees stocking shelves at 5:30 on a Friday night so I'm pretty sure what NG is doing is needless and cumbersome for customers. You can't get through an aisle with a cart because of the constant shelf stocking, heck; you can barely make it through without a cart! If you do manage to make it down an aisle for something you need or want you're greeted by a very friendly, "Finding everything you need?" Which is great, but after about 4 aisles it gets to be very annoying. Then when you venture back down an aisle to get an item you needed that the employee stocking shelves was originally blocking you get it again, "Finding everything you need?" Oh yes, I'm finding everything I need, you're just blocking me from getting to it and wearing my patience thin in the process! Then of course the 1 person on a register has their checkout line backing up into, guess where, the aisles! It's just a mess, I wish they'd save their shelf stocking for off peak hours and get some more help up front during busy times. I'll gladly fork over the extra money to The Real Food Store because their good customer service now means that much to me! read more

Amongst the best health food stores, I do most of my shopping there. Prices are great and most of the staff are very nice, helpful and informative. However, my latest experience was far from enjoyable. I was waiting to check out and another cashier opened up and allowed me to check out with her, name tag said she was the store manger. She was very rude and short with me, no effort to even make eye contact at all. After I paid, another lady whom I see shopping there often got into line, the cashier put her closed sign up and asked her to go to another line(all of which were very long and she had been waiting longer than i). During the entire time i was in line, the phone was ringing, and she answered it after telling the next lady in line to go to the next isle, the manager rudely directed her with a hand gesture while on the phone. I left the store feeling like I should do more shopping at the Real Food Store. read more
