Heritage Foods broasted chicken used to be worth driving way across town to pick up a family treat…read more Now it's an over-breaded, over-cooked and very over-priced disaster. On our big order for a large family get together, we had to pull off as much breading as possible to try to eat order. Most just went into the garbage. The deli staff does not have a clue how to properly cook chicken, and really doesn't seem to care. Store management either doesn't know, or care. I need to amend my prior comments. I stopped at the Heritage Foods Store the following day and explained my concern, providing a Ziploc with over-breading examples of our unfortunate order to a manager. He was genuinely concerned and said he would discuss with deli staff immediately. He said they have many graduation parties coming up and thanked me for stopping at the store. I could not have asked for a better response from store management and will try their broasted chicken again. I really appreciate his concern and attitude. Our families have been their customers for over 17 years and never experienced a problem like this before.

Last couple times I've gone for chicken, I got ignored by the staff and almost left. It's really gone down hill recently. I used to enjoy their chicken and liked getting it for my kids' birthday parties, now, I really don't know if I want to go back. It has a good discounted brand, and a small pharmacy. The prices are better than any convenience store and we can walk to it from our motel. The staff is helpful and friendly. Being from out of state, we like the fact that Montana has no sales tax.

Just finished an hour of Thanksgiving shopping at the Helena Safeway. Without fail, the crew were…read moreupbeat, patient, and curtious. In the midst of chaotic produce section, a clerk took time to locate brussel sprouts that had just come into the store and put them in the public space. Enabling me to leave with a completed list of vegetables. A stocker noticed I was too short to get to the chocolate pudding. He not only grabbed a container, but also checked the experation date. The checker was courteous, and patient with my coupon. And Stuart was careful not to overfill my bags as he told me about his holiday plans. The place was crazy with last minute shoppers, and I did not experience a single negative person. Thank you to a wonderful crew.

Produce section looked like something out of a magazine. It was here that I found a nice selection of huckleberry products that I had searched for my whole trip. I loaded up and was impressed with the selection. A kind employee told me they would have more later when the berries were in season. I bought a few other grocery items here and they were all great.
