I don't know why people are being so harsh on this Walmart location, I mean, it's a Walmart. And it's a pretty nice Walmart at that. It's a large size, they have a good selection. The store is a little poorly laid out, but I think that's a common feature of a lot of Walmart locations. The two things that really bring this location down for me are: the online order pickup, and the parking lot. The online order pickup is located in a odd part of the store, it's not at the customer service counter, and even for just one item you still have to go in and there's not really a clear space to stand or clear marking of where the area is. The second thing that brings this location down is the parking lot. The parking lot is absolutely a mess. It doesn't help that it's coming off of State highway 95, but it's difficult to get into, it's difficult to navigate once you're inside, and it's difficult to find a good place to park. This situation is something that is more normal for them than not. I ordered groceries on Sunday at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. They accepted my order and I got a text around 4 o'clock that someone was shopping for my food to be delivered. During the day I received over 20 texts saying that they were either not gonna be able to deliver my order so I went to bed and forgot all about it. At 11 PM at night someone is knocking on my door to deliver groceries! And the guy acted like it was just a completely normal thing. When I got the things in the house he did his best to sell me on everything being fresh that everything had been in a cold storage for the day but everything felt warm so I don't know what happened to my groceries And I couldn't get any help from customer service or Walmart corporate. $200 and I had to throw my groceries out that were either meat or vegetables. This happens to me with them all the time but because I'm disabled I just hope that next time it will be a more positive experience but it almost never is. My house is set up such that the garage is along an alley in the back and at least 10 times they've left all of my groceries in the alley on top of my garbage cans where they sat in the sun all day because I didn't know they were out there. It even says on my directions to deliver to the front of the house. What kind of person puts fresh groceries on a trashcan? I have been a Walmart plus customer utilizing their delivery for many years now but I am canceling it today because of nonresponsiveness on their part. I was lied to by the electronics department. I called and asked if they had the payment squares, they said they have 2 and so I drove an hour to get there and they didn't have any. The rude employee with piercings all over his face told me I don't know what to tell you, I explained I confirmed before I drove and he couldn't care and wouldn't even look to see where they could be. I never thought i'd find myself near this store again. But I wanted to fulfill Seo Young's burning passion for WONDER Cinnamon rolls. He is aware we will never be coming back to this awful shameful facility, but he begged me to make a Walmart delivery again. My face was flushed with a sense of fear, as I mutter out "The-the.. Walmart Supercenter on 550 W Honeysuckle Ave?..." Seo Young nodded, before running off to play with Takashima. I knew I couldn't let my little friend down, I met him at this store.. I must conquer all fear. Do it for Seo is what I told myself as I opened the infamous app up. I felt like I should've called my brother Jaquavious, but he was at the nail salon.. I can't disrupt that.. I wiped the sweat beads off my forehead and came to terms with it.. I must order Seo Young his Cinnamon Rolls. I search it up for him, I place those in my imaginary cart. Just hearing the word "Walmart Cart" sent a tickle down my spine. I have scoliosis so it wasn't much down my spine. All I ordered was two boxes of these Cinnamon Rolls Seo said are "beautiful". I place the order.. as I find Seo Young. I told him that it would be here in an hour. That hour I was full of stress, each 10 minutes i'd cry. But then I would remember that i'm doing it for Seo. Do it for Seo I kept repeating. My niece Takashima took the place of my brother Jaquavious and interlocked pinkies with me. I was filled with relief.. til I heard two knocks. I opened my door and the person who delivered it was gone. Gone in seconds..? Was this real? Am I imagining this? I could hear Seo Young's footsteps, they were full of excitement. I must grab this bag full of Cinnamon Rolls. I retrieve them, as I sprint inside. I felt like I was being watched by Walmart. Constantly. Seo immediately grabs his Cinnamon Rolls as I stop him. "Seo NO!!" He drops the box, it didn't make much difference as the box already had many damages to it. I put on some nitrile gloves, as I picked the box up. I inspected it, I thought it was safe. Til I remembered, we must always check dates. I read the date on the box as I nearly fainted. If Seo ate these he could've died. My sweet little buddy Seo Young, dead by WONDER Cinnamon Rolls from Walmart?! I gasped, I took a picture as quick as I could. I ended up having to sit Taka and Seo down, warning them about the dangers of Walmart and what can happen if you order or even dare go there. Safe to say me and my niece and little friend will NOT be approaching this store nor the online shopping option ever again. This Walmart was a great find for clothing clearance items. I probably hit it just right at the end of the season (summer), but even still I had some great finds!! Store was well stocked, tons of employees busy at work. None really greeted me like back home (Alabama), but guess they were all busy. Fellow shoppers were the WORST very rude about maneuvering the store and all in such a hurry rushing around you and making you feel like you were in the way. Even apologized ("I'm sorry") to someone for being in their way and they replied, "no you're not"!!!!! Wow Idaho!!!! Do better we all live on this earth. Let's make what time we have here pleasant. Today I was driving into the Walmart parking lot when my car tire suddenly hit a deep pothole. It jarred my whole car, my neck hurt, and I had an instant headache. My mood went from happy sunny day to aggravated and annoyed. I told the greeter I'd like to speak to someone about the pothole and he quietly summoned someone to talk to me. The guy was not helpful, only there to settle me down. He said they were actively working to fill the holes (there was no work being done on them at all), and that a lot of people had complained about the potholes. He thanked me for reminding him and that was it. I have the receipt documenting my time there and I took pictures of the potholes. Once I got out of my car, I was amazed at the depth of the pothole, probably at least 4" deep and maybe 6". And the number of potholes! This Walmart knows darn well they have a huge pothole issue, and they have done nothing. It indicates a dismissive attitude, unconcerned about their customers. I am going to buy my purchases elsewhere as much as possible from here on out. I may have impacted my neck, and I may need both it and my car aligned. I intend to provide any related bills to Walmart for reimbursement. read more

Reason #82 why I usually avoid shopping at Walmart. The service is so horrible, it's almost comical. I was in line for 45 minutes waiting to check out, with only...wait for it...2 registers open. I asked the manager is she could open additional lines and she said she would if she could get anyone to come up to the front to do it...that she had been calling but nobody was coming. What?? She said there are some people but they haven't been trained on registers. I suggest that maybe we train them... the nice lady we had was not trained either and was super slow. Customers were helping by bagging their own carts to help speed it up. Ugh - this is why there are so many customers with angst at Walmart! Tonight go walking in the front door a girl and a guy who are standing there i said hi to the girl she is looking right at me and doesn't say a word so I say hi to the guy there he just turns his head and nothing from him either. Nice BIG Walmart, stop in for your one stop shopping needs here. from produce, meats & dry Goods to cat,dog & Deer food as well as ammo & garden supplies its all here folks, also a pharmacy this was a very pleasant shop & its a very clean store with shiny floors & all, now my only rant on this store is the mess 4th of july display & parking lot needs to be re-striped so people don't park in two spots & employees were a bit hard to find for help, and I do not like the self check out for it takes away from peoples jobs so I will always go to the one, Yes! one physical checker they have in the morning here at this store in hayden, I know this Walmart is always packed in the afternoons & early evenings. read more

The store was completely closed because they had a "plumbing failure" due to the unbelievably disruptive restoration work that's been going on for longer then I can remember. I would rate a zero if I could. Ordered a TV using pickup today only to have my order delayed till 1/9. When I called on to find out the Pickup Today on the phone made it sound like it was no big deal that their inventory must be off, even gave a chuckle and said they must not have that item in the store. If you wanted to shoplift from here, it would probably be really easy, as the workers don't pay attention and there are plenty of blind spots of cameras and little nooks. They have a lot of good prices though and many items you might need short notice. I actually do like Walmart, as it is very enjoyable to see all the strangely dressed people. I went to Walmart's webpage to look for a knee scooter. It gave me the option of store pick up. I went for it. When sister arrived for pick up she was told it was unavailable. The man at the pick up counter said we could check with the pharmacy but would not call them. He refused to call the Spokane Walmart as well. I needed it to return to work on Monday. Now, I have to search for another one, miss work, and do not have sick time. As Walmart has effectively taken money from my pocket I will no longer willingly hand any over to them by shopping there. To go to the Hayden Walmart often it's pretty clean but usually there's tons of people. My favorite is the Walmart out by Cabelas it seems bigger and is way less people there As for the Hayden one it's really busy on the grocery side of the home phone stuff is usually pretty commonplace to check you out pretty fast but the self checkout sucks because the machines are constantly stopping stops and if you move your groceries inside. Ordered online, they had no idea where it was when it came in, finally got it home, it was damaged in three places, boxed it back up, returned it-- no one to help lift it out of car, then no refund in checking account-- takes three to seven days to post apparently-- all in all I would say we devoted a good five hours to this purchase and it was a total fail. Went to this store yesterday 6/10/2021. I needed a lot of household items and rarely make it to town as I live 50 miles away. I got to the checkout area with over $1000 of items in my cart. There were only 2 registers open, and I counted 15 people in line at one and 18 at the other. I got on my cell phone and called the store. After wading through the menus, I finally got to select "Speak to an associate." After about 10 rings a woman finally answered. I asked if she was a manager. She said yes she was a csm. (I know this stands for a customer service manager.) I asked is she was aware there were only 2 registers open and very long lines. She said yes she was fully aware and there were no other register qualified people available but that if I knew where to finds some she'd gladly put them on. Then she hung up. Meanwhile my wife had walked off and found a manager (she used to work at a walmart so she knew how to spot the proper vest color.) Amazingly with in 5 minutes there were 5 managers opening up registers and got the lines down to a reasonable wait. It was greatly appreciated to get thru the line, but there were 2 issues. 1. Being treated rudely on the phone was inexcusable, and 2. the managers should have fixed the problem before the long lines formed. read more

Walmart is a company which caters to the lowest common denominator, and I shop there all the time. There is no way they can keep their prices as low as they do and pay high wages, which means they hire the folks who will work for less. The customer service is lacking due to the lack of personnel, not lack of caring by the employees. I have heard them say they would love to help more but are expected to do many other things besides waiting on customers. It has been my experience that people who have never worked retail demand the most and appreciate it the least. The store in Hayden is very clean!! I have never had a problem with the merchandise that I couldn't get taken care of and those of us who expect perfection should shop where all the employees and all the merchandise are PERFECT! read more
