I told her I needed ice and in less than 5 mins I was checked out and grabbing my 2 bags of ice. :) She had a store bag ready for me and offered assistance, which I declined. She then gave me a coupon w a survey, and a card for the BBQ they do on the weekends and explained how I could be entered to win some delcious tri tip!!! Uh, YES please ! :) When I got home and showed my mom the coupon, her eyes lit up as we have some family in town for the holiday and they LOVE bbq, hell, who doesn't! The staff here is really friendly. The only complaint that I have, is that the parking lot is small, crowded, and difficult to navigate. But if you're looking for a specialty food, or an organic food, or just a fancy version of something you would normally get, this is probably your best bet in the Coeur d'Alene area.

The two things that really bring this location down for me are: the online order pickup, and the parking lot. The online order pickup is located in a odd part of the store, it's not at the customer service counter, and even for just one item you still have to go in and there's not really a clear space to stand or clear marking of where the area is. The second thing that brings this location down is the parking lot. The parking lot is absolutely a mess. It doesn't help that it's coming off of State highway 95, but it's difficult to get into, it's difficult to navigate once you're inside, and it's difficult to find a good place to park. I guess I lied, there are three things that bring this place down. The third thing is that it's far away from Coeur d'Alene and the freeway.

Some things to know (coincidentally why it's a four star review instead of five): First, the parking lot is awkward to get in and out of. It's shared. It's hard to find a spot. Second, it's expensive. Classy Walmart doesn't come cheap. But definitely worth stopping in if you're looking for a one stop shop.

My kids especially loved that they could get an ice cream cone for just 25 cents. We didn't really explore the grocery store itself, so this review is mostly about the prepared food area. The restroom was clean, and the lunch setup made for an easy, inexpensive stop. The only uncomfortable part of the visit had nothing to do with Super 1. Another customer was open carrying with a holster attached to very loose basketball shorts, and the firearm appeared poorly secured as he walked. That was unsettling, but it wasn't something I'd hold against the store.

Well, WinCo falls into that category for me. It might the most poorly laid out grocery store I know. Another thing I don't like is that they only accept cash or debit cards. Annoying you can't pay with a credit card. Normally this would be a 2-3 star review, so why four stars? Well, first it's super inexpensive. They have great prices here. Second, they have a bulk food section which is great.

I went in on Labor Day to pick up some deli meats and a sandwhich, but there was virtually nothing in the case. When I used to shop here, i could always find quality food in the ambiance of a nice store, but the quality mininizes with what seems to be an easily activated or angered staff or manager. I saw one older woman in particular complaining about workload with customers (me as well as others), talking to other employees about forming a un!0n like the meat department, and she even bad mouthed a manager who mentioned that she needed to finish more sandwhiches and get the deli in shape. Maybe customer service has changed, but so can my shopping habits if things carry on like this during my next visit. read more

I called to apply for a job in the deli a few weeks back, and unfortunately, the manager completely dismissed me and treated me like a waste of time. I'm not sure if she'd already made up her mind, but Cathy would barely even answer my questions about what kind of food they serve, and I was genuinely curious as I genuinely wanted to work there to contribute to the ambiance of the grocery store. I guess I'll take my years of customer service experience elsewhere, especially since I've found hair in my food on my more than one occasion recently anyway! read more

Even on their first day open when there were understandably kinks to still work out, quality was impressively high. Enjoyed a delicious organic cup of coffee - hard to find - along with some yummy pastries from Chaps and Alpine Deli that they had in their case. Even though it was early morning, when I learned that their sushi selection was provided by the owners of a nice sushi restaurant in town, I had to try some yellowtail sashimi as well. Was excellent! Had a nice conversation with Matt, the meat department manager. He clearly cared about the quality of the products he put on his shelves. I walked out with some reasonably priced Wagyu steaks. Decided to try some kiwi berries for the first time, something they offer in their exotic fruit section - super delicious. In walking by the dairy case, I loved seeing some local raw milk options now stocked, (although the price was notably higher than at other local grocery stores for the exact same product). At the end of the day, my excitement was reborn for this new hometown market. They are well-staffed with friendly people, maintain an inviting atmosphere, and have created a natural gathering place for our community. I still think there is room for them to straddle the line of quality and affordability a little better, especially in their grocery departments, but based upon the great effort I've seen so far, I expect them to continue to improve in this area.
