Thousands of dollars worth of plants.. dead/dying because there is one assigned person trying his best to hold it together. Ethan is a star for trying. Meanwhile the few staff they have are trying to keep up with train wreck of stocking, cleaning up from people tossing stuff on floors in clothes depts especially. Other depts have people on cell phones or just hanging out! I like Super Walmarts over the regular Walmarts, they are brighter, cleaner, roomier and they have a more complete grocery section. I eat a lot of popcorn and I love their Light Butter light popcorn. It's one of the best values per ounce out there. I also love the Orville Redenbacher, a man that spent about 15 years seeking the popcorn lover's version of the Holy Grail - a fluffier kernel that pops at a near- perfect rate. Front desk customer service staff is not customer focused. Sarcastically tell you that if you want you can speak to the manager. When you respond yes, the team lead who was standing in the back listening to your entire conversation, his name is John steps forward and says he's is the manager and there is nothing he can do to help you. It was not until I called the store for his full name that I learned the manager was a women named Jen. And she as the manager could help me resolve my situation, but John did not offer that up because he and his front end staff did not want to help me. read more

I hate having to call this place. One time I left a product behind while bagging my groceries and I instantly tried calling. No one picked up. I called over and over with no answer. What's worse is the phone rings for a very very long time. Then it gets quiet, as if someone picked up, then hangs up. I'm not sire if that's just how it ends the call or if the employees pick up the phone and then end the call. Either way it is very unprofessional and unfortunate. If you have any questions or issues, you can't speak to anyone! I even try calling other departments with no answer! I had to call corporate instead and go the help I needed. It doesn't matter what day or what time you call, no one ever picks up and the phone just rings. I can deal with being patient and assume they are with customers, but I go there all the time, there is most definitely pockets of time where there is no one at the customer service desk. Also when you are inside, at a department you need assistance, no one comes!! When they do finally come, the wait time is usually over 20 mins on average. I have seen people waiting for an hour that I was shopping just to get paint or something else locked up. I'm assuming that's why no one picks up at the other desk, because no one is ever there!!! It took a while for this location to get straightened out, but as a Walmart fan, this is now one of the better ones. I would disregard old reviews. Yes, the parking lot always looks like a dumpster exploded, but I would blame that on the open drug scene nearby. When is Fall River going to address this BUM! After doing my shopping yesterday 6/30/2019 I went to the self check out and the associate in the self check out named Laurie treated me like I was stupid, over talking me when I was trying to enter my pin for my debit card, invading my personal space,hovering over me and after putting in the code for a priced item threw the item at my daughter and when I went to go speak to the manager in the customer care center she was walking past us giving us dirty looks as if she was trying to intimate us. I have never been treated with such disregard as a human in my life. read more

Customer service is a joke at this place. Don't even bother trying to ask anyone on the floor to help you find something. You are better off just going to the service desk. I asked two separate people to help me find something.... Both of them said I don't know where it is and walked away. I even tried to utilize the app and it said it was in a certain aisle and there was no sign of it anywhere I showed both of the staff personnel the app and they both shrugged their shoulders and walked away. read more

Okay. I know this is Walmart. But the employees on my last visit were SO helpful and SO willing to go out of their way, I can't say I've experienced a better situation with on-the-floor personnel before. The managers here suck. They are unwilling to talk to customers, unwilling to think logically about things, unwilling to try and meet their target audience in terms of comprehension or compassion. But the employees here are FABULOUS, and I rate this location four stars for them alone. I recently visited this store in search of a new television. I was shopping int he 40-inch range (that's what she said...) and trying to find both a good deal and a great set. I found a very nice Emerson here, a 40" model with 1080p and 120Hrz refresh rate, with all the right specs and NOT a smart model, so in the right price range. An IDEAL situation, right? Well, turns out they didn't have any in stock. In fact, NONE of the local stores did. Even the online service has DISCONTINUED the model, and it was no longer in Walmart's computer systems. The only one left was the floor model. But I wanted it. An electronics employee, I believe named Chris, started to really go to work for me, and all the news was bad. Turns out they threw away the box.... And ALL of the remotes for ALL of the floor models.... And IT WAS A MANAGER who did so. He went and talked to the manager-on-duty. Despite no remote, no box, floor model and obvious damage to the set, no discount. None. Nothing. Wow. I felt so bad for the employee, I wanted to tip him, but I used to work at a Walmart myself. I know that sort of thing can get employees in trouble. Even fired. So we talked it over, commiserated, and I left without a TV. And LO AND BEHOLD! I went back today, and the same remote-less, box-less, discount-less TV is back on the shelf, advertising it's ready for sale!!!! I love the employees here. This is only one tale of how awesome they are here. But the management IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Sigh. Four stars for decent people who try and do their best. read more

Do not goto this walmart alone. There is no parking lot security. Be prepared to be harassed by pan handlers aggressively asking for money. Assaults are high risk in that area. Stabbings and robberies are commonplace in and around this location. Limited police presence and no walmart security. It's no wonder a decomposing dead body was found adjacent to the parking lot, that had been there for months! With the constant rise of criminal activity in and around this walmart, a proactive response would be visible private security. Unfortunately management at this location doesn't care about customer safety, and is more worried about looking at your receipt upon exiting. SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

I absolutely hate coming in to this store. Mostly every employee I come in contact with is miserable, which I would be too working in that environment. I personally have had no problems with this store, the few times I have gone there, except for not finding anything I had gone there to buy, like a computer chair, computer desk, Nightwish CD, Within Temptation DVD, Rammstein CD's, etc. I now need a computer printer, but after reading these reviews, I will just order it from Amazon. I don't see the need of going through anything like this. I worked in retail management for 37 years, and my question here to Wal-Mart's upper management team is whether or not they have read these reviews. If they have,is there anything being done to correct the problems ? A territorial manager or above would come to this store with a printout of all these complaints, make the store manager and assistants sit there and read them all, and then advise them that if noticeable improvements are not made immediately, changes in management would be necessary. But that is how MY company would have handled this. Word of mouth advertising: I have a good experience, I tell 3 or 4 friends or family members. I have a bad experience, I tell 15 or 20. How much do you spend on advertising to get people into the store ? From what I see, you have severely wasted your money. read more

The inside of the store is not well stocked. I understand that this store is extremely busy, but Walmart should have enough help to see what stock needs replenishing and get on it quickly. The store is not very clean inside or out. It seems Walmart has enough money to hire someone to constantly monitor the outside and pick up the trash created by its non-caring customers that throw out their trash on the ground because there are very few trash receptacles outside the store. And the trash cans outside do not get emptied enough. They always seem to be full with trash blowing out of them! Here is my experience on 12/26/14: Your company was selling an iphone 6 with 2yr contract for 129.99. That is a 70$ saving over even the cheapest retail price out. It was a tremendous offer and one that got me out to your store. I arrived at the Fall River location and waited for an associate to greet me. The associate working was ringing out a fellow colleague on break and was discussing his experience and future plans to play a video game that night ( grand theft auto). I waited five minutes politely while their conversation rambled on and felt already as if my presence and potential purchase was of no value to your company. It was only after the awkward silence ensued that the representative, tom, asked what he could do for me. I informed tom of my desire to purchase the iphone 6. Tom sighed, looked to the other colleague and asked if he knew how to sell the phone as he believed the only associate (dez) had left for the night. The associate told tom that he too was not trained on how to sell the phone. Tom then told me that he was sorry and that no one was able to sell me the phone and that I would have to come back another time when there was someone who could! I was so shocked to be told this, and told tom that was unacceptable and that if he wasn't capable, to get a manager or someone who was able to sell me the phone as I had no intention of leaving and coming back. ( had I not the desire to get the phone cheaper I would have left immediately to a competitor). it was then that I was greeted by a female floor manager. She apologized and informed me that "dez" was on lunch but would return in ten minutes. I asked if she could sell me the phone and she said she could not. With no option, I waited the ten minutes. 15 minutes passed and I again asked tom to check on dez/ the manager to ensure I was going to get help. This was when he informed me that the first manager was wrong and that dez had another 20 minutes left on break. I was immediately upset by the wrong information and asked for a manager again. This time the assistant manager Dewayne came over to speak with me. I explained what had taken place and my desire still to buy the phone. Dewayne was extremely rude and condescending to me. I asked if he could sell me the phone and why there was no staff capable to sell me the phone. He said he could not and I frustratedly asked if dez was truly going to come back from her break or if I was just being mislead. It was then when Dewayne loudly said " she'll be off break when she is off break," and began walking away from me. When this was done customers began to stare at me in shock as if I had been some form of irate customer who was unreasonable when truly I had been patient all along just wanting to give my 129.99 to your company. After 2hours in your store I made my purchase through dez who was not so fluent in the process herself but just tried. My experience was not worth the savings. I will never forget the way Dewayne treated me. But i guess I'm the one who had higher hopes and didn't just accept the common phrase; what did you expect, it's Walmart! read more

Will NEVER shop there again after being treated like a criminal. Our cart was physically blocked by "man with a coffee cup" - who never identified himself as possibly undercover security person - because I told the receipt-checker person that my receipt was put away in my bag and I did not want to take it out. "Man-with-a-coffee-cup" stood in front of our cart and said that they would "not let me leave the store" with the cart and that they could do so because "the store is privately-owned." I threatened to and would have put back every item I had shopped and paid for, would I not be holding up the rest of my party. The police officer who approached said when I asked him that it was not illegal for me to leave the store with my purchases without showing my receipt, nor would I be arrested if I attempted to do so. I realize that the receipt-checker "has a job to do," as "man-with-a-coffee cup" told me, but a polite "no thank you" seems to work at EVERY OTHER Walmart where I shop. "Man-with-a-coffee-cup" also accused me of being rude, which I was not - I was heated and animated but did not verbally attack anybody. I WISH they would have tried to put their hands on me with all of our paid-for items in the cart! "Man-with-a-coffee-cup," whether he is private security or Walmart employee, needs some training. I was REALLY burned up, to the embarrassment of my co-shoppers, and will probably complain to the actual management when I get around to it, but this will do for now. read more

No complaints about customer service, but the hiring managers (or personnel, whatever they wanna call it), are EXTREMELY rude. I recently applied to this location, and when I spoke to the manager, I was told that they've finished hiring as of 5 minutes ago and she abruptly hung up on me. Never once during the application process of any job that I have applied to have I been hung up on, or given a poor excuse like the one that they gave me. Just a tip to people who are considering applying here, don't do it unless you don't mind getting hung up on or don't mind being tossed to the side of the road like you're a piece of garbage.
