Store is "clean" for the most part. what i don't appreciate is charging for paper bags that rip as soon as you pick them up. if your gonna charge for bags how about you make them actually usable. cut savings cost when season across the street (literally a gas station has better quality bags) and i dont appreciate you having some freak breath over my neck at self checkout. if you think i stole something call the police, don't have some creep stand behind me. This review is for the pharmacy at this location I would like to give a shout out to the pharmacist that worked today who gave me my shingles shot. I was scheduled to get it on 1/2/24 but got a call to cancel because whomever the pharmacist was that day had received a call out for the tech and she was alone. Well today this young lady was alone and did not turn me away because of it. She handled the situation professionally and did her job. She was busy with customers and took each in their turn, she was not miserable about the situation but carried on with a pleasant demeanor. So for her I would give a five star rating, the other maybe she needs to find a different profession. read more

Let me just start by saying I hate this place. I have to give it 2 stars because it's the closest large Supermarket to our town. I am very eager for Market Basket to open this fall so I no longer have to come here. The store itself is clean and relatively neat but they never have what I am looking for, the produce is hit or miss, prices are quite a bit higher than other places, the people in the deli move like snails and have zero personality, the store is always crowded and the lines are ridiculous because they don't have enough cashiers. Oh and did I mention that their bags suck and they are always torn by the time you get home!!! Last week I ordered a pound of sliced cheddar cheese at the deli for sandwiches... we almost died laughing at how THICK the slices were when we got home... we thought of going out back and playing frisbee with the cheese!! This Stop and Shop location is good. It has a large parking lot, with plenty of entrances and exits. It also has a Stop and Shop gas station, for those looking to save some money on gas! This is a super S&S, so it is large, but the selection isn't as great as the one in Somerset. This location also has a Nature's Promise section, so that's a plus. But again, the Somerset location is larger and has a better selection. I don't eat meat, but my fiancé does and while here he noted that the selection was smaller than other locations. He still found some of what he was looking for though, so he was happy. The produce here seems to be good. I've always found what I needed and it has all looked and tasted great. The staff we've dealt with all seem nice and friendly as well. While I prefer to go to the Somerset location for the wider selection, I've come here when I've been in the area and need just a few items. read more

Called the bake shop to see if a cake would be done on time and was greeted by rude staff. Went to pick up the cake at the time requested no one was at the bake shop. Had to wait 15-20mins just for them to get somebody. Icing on the cake ( pun) cake wasn't even done and had to came back 1hr later. read more

I have never laughed so hard while trying not to be break anything than when I shopped here. This store has things in stock that make no sense. The aisles are clearly marked, so long as what you want fits into a very generic category. If you want protein bars, low-salt chips, Asian seasonings or energy drinks, or anything that doesn't fit a generic American label, you had better be ready to dig. Now, before you think me some sort of elitist, understand I have worked retail for years. I know corporate monsters and their lack of comprehension of how human-shopping-consumer-nom-noms work. But I am also a human myself. So when similar bipedal creatures offer me less help than the lackluster signage their homogeneous, hierophantic signage and alien home offices can provide, I start to get exasperated. Of all the grocery stores I've entered since moving to this area, this location is the least personable, most off-putting, and has the highest error rate of any others. What's more, I found a very weird little bottle of liquor on one of the signage stands the employees use, which I've included a picture of. Maybe that's why nobody is able to tell me where they keep the Cliff bars... Anyway, there are other stores in the area. You have to drive for them, but it's probably for the best. At least you stand a chance of getting good service and some honest answers! read more

Today I went on a field trip to stop n shop with my son's K- class it was really cool the woman who took us on our tour through the store was Awesome she did a really good job with all the kids and answering all their questions. They got to learn about all of our senses the kids were touching and smelling all kinds of fruits and veggies it was cool over all I think it was a good experience for them. Thank you read more

I cannot tell you how much I hate the parking lot in this place. I just cannot tell you. I was there one day cashing a check and someone actually GOT HIT WITH A CAR!!! They now have security because apparently there has been carjackings there. I had a woman there approach me for money. Fat chance. But let's review the establishment itself. The inside is fairly clean (for the trash that shops there-yeah...I said it), and the produce is pretty decent. Stop and shop has now surpassed Shaw's for the selection of vegetarian items they sell, and who doesn't love the gas points? The gas station is right there too, which is not always the case, as I have worked in at least 10 Stop and Shops across the state, and they don't always. read more

If you shop around & compare prices like I do. I found it to be very expensive. Compared to other grocery stores. The cost of things at stop & shop are like double the price of other stores. The things they have on sale nothing I use. Quinoa at stop & shop $5.99 Quinoa at price rite same brand & size. $4.99. Ice cream cake at stop & shop $8.00 more than the same size ice cream cakes at Price Rite. And that is just a couple of examples. I'd rather save money & get a whole lot more for my money. read more

This place is a joke. At times, I go to Stop and Shop with my daughter and wait in the car. Several times I have been approached by people knocking on my car window asking me for money for some lame excuse or another. At the same time, the same thing is happening to my daughter before she can even enter the store. Someone approaching her for money. I mean seriously, there is a security person driving around the parking lot, apparently not doing much at all, they don't see these people bothering people for money?? And then of course, you can never find anything you want because the shelves are NEVER stocked. For example, I went there today, they had no Hood, or Garelic whole milk. Really!? How do you NOT keep milk stocked? All last week I tried to get Tyson hot chicken, with the bone. Needless to say, that didn't happen either. Tried again today, another empty spot where the chicken SHOULD be, but again, isn't. Tried to get steak for supper, nope, only cube steak. C'mon now, do your job and keep the store stocked. Perhaps if the people that come out into the parking lot and collect the carriages would stay off their cell phones, texting and talking, and talking to friends in the parking lot, maybe they should be stocking the empty shelves?? I'll never go to that store again, I only go there because it is closer to where I live, but I will go the extra mile to go to the other Stop and Shop, it's worth it. I always shop here because it is conveniently located close to our home. Although, yesterday my daughter and I went grocery shopping...our last stop was the bakery before check out. While at the bakery, the young lady that works behind the counter proceeds to blow her nose, not once, but twice, and then starts hacking everywhere!!!! TOTALLY DISGUSTING!!!! She never went back to wash her hands. I walked away in disgust. She is the most UNFRIENDLY individual anyway. I had asked her a few months back about a price on an item that already comes packaged, and she acted as though we were bothering her. She just shrugged her shoulders and then gives a very nasty answer. If you don't like working with the public, then you shouldn't be there. I wish I could have found a manager yesterday, I would have put in a complaint. She is NASTY, not only attitude wise, but cleanliness wise also. I will NEVER buy anything from that bakery.
