I went to Walmart yesterday to get propane. I paid inside, but when I went outside, I couldn't get the propane and there was no one around to help. I ended up having to ask for a refund. I went back today to try again. After I paid, I went to customer service to ask for help, but the lady there just told me they were out of propane. When I walked outside, I could clearly see the propane section still full. I asked for a manager, and a heavy guy in a wheelchair came over. I explained everything to him, but all he said was that he didn't know, and he offered no help at all. Both visits were a total waste of time, and the customer service was awful. If this is the kind of "management" Walmart has running the place, it explains why the store is such a mess. read more

This walmart is a great spot to grab what you need. The aisles are clean and organized and everything is pretty easy to find. It's a large location so can take a bit to find what you need if you have not been there before but everyone is helpful if you have any questions. The bakery is also relatively fresh and the carrot cake is great. read more

I came here on a Tuesday morning around 8AM and no one was there. I mean... workers were, but I think I saw a total of three other customers shopping at the same time as me! I have been to this Walmart twice already - once before closing on the 1st and once last month in the afternoon. Both experiences I've had here were excellent. I mean, if you compare this Walmart to the ones in Norcross or Duluth, they are like night and day. There is no fighting to find a parking space here while trying to avoid running over millions of pedestrians, no lines at all at checkout, virtually nobody crowding the aisles, the aisles were all well-stocked (including the chip aisle, which is rare at most Walmarts), carts are not flooding the parking lot, restrooms are clean. It's like you're shopping at Publix or something - the experience is actually quiet and pleasant, and you don't feel like you're fighting the masses like at most metro Walmarts. I need to come to this location more often, even though it's out of my way. I'm not sure what it is (well, I kind of do lol), but it seems like as soon as you hit Emory Johns Creek and just keep going North, most grocery and department stores are just dead 9/10 times and I love that! It's a nice break from the near Perimeter chaos. I highly recommend this Walmart if you are in the area and need something. read more

Normally, I don't have any issues with this location. 99 percent of the time my experiences are pleasant, however; that was not the case tonight. Naleah our cashier had a bad attitude and she was not very competent at her job. She originally charged us for my husband's ensure drinks and placed them in the bag. My husband was standing near the cart. She goes "is this together?" I said "yes" but that pointing over to a child placing groceries on the conveyor "is not". She then takes the ensure drinks out of the bag and voids it. I tell her, "ma'am , those are ours. " My husband even said that as well. It took us about three times for her to realize that it was our purchase. She then had an attitude about that , you could tell by the look on her face. I had some gift cards and was trying to scan them and she got impatient. I told my husband " maybe she needs to scan them ", she goes slide the card. We did and it worked but her entire personality just made me feel like she wasn't wanting to be there or deal with us. I gave it four stars because In general, the store is good, just not that cashier. read more

How does a Walmart store go from first to worst in a period of a few months? Ineffectual management and lackadaisical employees, that's how. I have had problems at this Walmart store over the past several months. I wrote management about my disappointing experiences at their store, but never received a response. Today's fiasco was the final straw. I will ignore mentioning the details about the two items that have been out of stock at this Walmart store for many weeks and get to the crux of the matter. To start, I needed to scan the prices of a few items with my smartphone's Walmart app because the prices weren't clear from the shelf displays. The Walmart application failed to come up with the store prices for any of the items I scanned. One of the items was marked on the self with a price of about $10.97. When I got to the register, the item scanned at over $18.00. The self-checkout attendant didn't offer to check the price. She just asked me if I wanted to purchase the item or if she should void the item. I had the employee void the item. The next problem occurred when I attempted to scan my $5.00 gift card. The card would not scan. The self-checkout attendant could not get the gift card to scan using the self-checkout register. She attempted to say something to me, but it was difficult to understand her broken English. Compounding the problem, she was one of the few people in the store that had a mask on. Eventually, I was able to comprehend her instructions to take my items and follow her to a regular checkout register. After a few failed attempts by the Walmart employee to scan the gift card, a supervisor was required to process the card. It was time to pay, and I inserted my credit card. The terminal rejected my credit card. I inserted the credit card two more times, but the same result occurred. I tried sliding the card, but the card would not process. I had used my credit card the day prior, so I was very suspicious of a malfunctioning credit card. I ended up using cash even though I preferred to use my card. On the way home, I stopped at a local grocery store. I used my credit card to pay. The store's self-checkout terminal processed the credit card with ease. I can only conclude that the problem was with the Walmart credit card terminal. When I arrived home, I intended to get on the Walmart survey website and make someone aware of my horrid experience. I carefully entered the identification number on the receipt and the store number. The website indicated an error. I checked the receipt information three or four times. The Walmart survey website would not permit me to take the survey. Unless my wife uses force or another sinister form of extortion to get me to do so, I plan never to set foot in that detestable Walmart store again. It is an awful place to shop. read more

I absolutely love this Walmart! Every employee is always so helpful! I recently discovered the clearance bakery section & Pinky was so great at helping me choose from the baked goods that taste fresh even though they're on clearance! Today Tif & Maria helped me find & price some merchandise plus helped with self-checkout! They were so happy & full of positive energy! The pharmacy employees know be by name & always give the best service! I love to look for the clearance clothing & after-the-holiday sales (I'm on a fixed-income) & usually find something great every time! I didn't know that even though the store sign says they are open until 11 PM, they do not have "anyone with keys to open display cases." Not even at 10 o'clock? They locked everything up, took me two days to get assistance. I literally had to come back the next day.

Tried to return two items at this location after confirming they were still open on Christmas Eve. When I arrived, Customer Service was dark. The first employee I asked, reluctantly stopped when I flagged him down. He told me they were on "lunch break". When I asked when they were coming back, he said they weren't because they had left for the day. Then he walked away without anything else said. So I asked a cashier if I could return at her register since the return desk was closed early. She laughed at me, said I could only do returns at Customer Service and they were gone. She laughed again and turned her back on me. Walmart can go broke like Kmart. I will do my best to avoid this poorly run corporation from now on. read more

It's not the largest Walmart I've been to, so they may not have quite as much in stock as some others, but this is a very nice and well-maintained store. I was here just after Black Friday when most stores are a chaotic mess and found this one to be incredibly clean and well-organized. DUDE ALMOST GOT SHANKED! I am in the store looking at paint strippers and minding my own business when I hear. "I'm asking you, I'm asking you, what's the difference!" It was a tense, almost hostile response. There was a pause and a different voice. Then I heard the tense voice again and I could tell that someone was getting frustrated. As I round the corner I see a "sistah" standing there waiting for a response to her question. I answer it because I recognize the manager, ("a brotha"), as the guy who knows nothing about his department and has no business being a manager in the paint department. Oh yes, I have encountered him before. During our 10 minute conversation, she stated to me that he had actually pointed out a random brand of paint and told her that it was the best because it was the most expensive. He could not answer any of her basic questions so I encouraged her to go across the street to that big box store that has knowledgeable staff and a host of painting options. She immediately cancelled her paint order. If you are new to painting or just have any questions, this store is not an appropriate option because if the manager can't answer basic questions regarding paint brands or finishes, that is a huge flashing red light. I don't care how convenient it is; think of how inconvenient it is when you end up with the wrong products and have to spend countless hours and more money to correct the problem. ***Walmart is good for many things but wall/house paint is not one of them. Just as you would not purchase your sushi from Quik Trip, you must not select your paint from Walmart. ***Anytime you are purchasing house paint make sure that you purchase the paint yourself and just have the painter pick it up. You want to make sure that you are purchasing quality long lasting paint and not that basic "builder grade" option. ***This store is growing by leaps and bounds. I remember when they didn't even carry ground turkey breast. They now have a great selection of proteins including organic and healthier options. They have really increased their specialty items such as ghee, almond flour, and a great selection of vinegars. The Asian department has exploded with various, marinades, seasonings and sauces. The store is always clean and I have found the employees to be very helpful. The only problem is that they are not open early enough. I really miss being able to shop at 5 am or earlier. ***Now is the time to take advantage of clearance sales in every single department. I drive from Duluth to this Cumming Wal-Mart, because the Duluth Walmart is so gross and I'm tired of frigin people at Duluth's location asking me for money in the parking lot. So very disappointed in this grocery pick up service. Used it several times a while back and everything was good. Ordered groceries one afternoon for my husband to pick up on his way home. He goes to get them and they tell him "there is no order. " So, he thinks I messed up. I later find out that my order was cancelled." This was sent to my email and not even texted to me. I check my email 2 times a day. Very inconvenient. I went back to ordering from Kroger, who I have never had cancel my order. I decided last night to give walmart another try as I was sure it was a fluke. We were about to head out to pick them up this morning and I decided to check my email. Good thing I did as they were cancelled AGAIN with NO explanation. I am beyond mad about this. This is customer service at its worst. I will NEVER order with them again. I was so excited to learn that we were getting a Walmart closer to my house. Before this one I had to drive all the way to Winward to shop at Walmart and that was kind of a haul for me. Also had high hopes that maybe since the store was new and shiny there would be good customer service. Nope! I was wrong... typical Walmart. This store's only redeeming quality is the guy that works the photo counter. I wish I would have gotten his name, the next time I go in there I will and I will edit this review. He deserves credit for being so customer service oriented. Recently I spent almost 2 hours in the store shopping only to go upfront to find that there was one, yes one, register open and it was in the garden center. There was a line from that register in the garden center going all the way to the regular cash registers. If you don't shop at Walmart you may not realize how many people that is so let me tell you it's a lot! This was later at night maybe 10, 10:30 at night but still there were a lot of people in the store. There was no reason to shut down all of the registers but one that was far away. Just a whole lot of typical Walmart employees in a typical Walmart store. You gotta take Walmart for what it is, a place that's open late that has a lot of cheap stuff that sometimes you need. I'm not going to any other Walmart in my area! Really, I'm not sure why my fellow Yelpers don't like this store. It's easy to get to,plenty of parking, there are no lines, all the registers are open, plenty of helpful employees, SUPER CLEAN, quiet, fully stocked. What more can you ask for at a Walmart??? I've been here twice so far and I think it supersedes my other favorite Walmart on Windward. BTW, I haven't loved Windward for quite awhile. Once people figured out it was there, all was lost. I'm that person that will go to Walmart at 6am just to avoid the crowds and the lines. I like to take my time and not have to play shopping cart derby in the aisles with everyone. I also want to be able to check-out in a reasonable amount of time. They sell fish, but they have no idea how to take care of them. Many of them are dead and stuck to the filters. Algae eaters have zero algae to eat and they are dying of starvation. Your average Walmart, pretty clean and has everything that one would need. My only problem was that when we were buying eggs here, almost every carton of eggs had at least 1 or 2 broken eggs, which was frustrating. I think the workers should also take more care in the refrigerator section, especially the eggs and be more careful there. Overall, we got what we wanted and 4 stars because of that. read more

This Walmart is just ok at best. It's sometimes dirty and the employees are no where to be found. And when you do find them they usually don't want to help you and give you attitude or don't know where anything is. For such a good area to be in you'd think this Walmart would be amazing, but sadly not. Today I had to wait in a 15 person line for customer service, because they had one person working behind the counter. Also I do not understand what the point is of having so many registers and only opening like 3 lanes. It's a Sunday and many people come shopping for the week, so they need to be smarter and have more people on staff to help out. Okay so I actually thought I'd have a good experience at this new location. I was searching for something that was sold out at every Target I tried. I found one left and headed to checkout. The item was wrapped in security wire. I paid $235 for this item. The manager came over to take the lock off. He started walking with the item and asked me if I had parked at this entrance he was in front of. I said yes (why does that matter?!) So he unlocked it and I said I wasn't done and was waiting on someone to finish shopping. The item was for him, and I didn't want him to see what it was so I asked for extra bags. He said I could not have more than 2, because I could then put other things in my bag and walk out of the store without paying for them. I said well don't you have someone checking receipts at the door, which they didn't. And he said that was policy. I am fuming!!! You mean to tell me that with the transparency, since no one checks, I can't walk out with items anyway?! And I just spent $235 at your store and this is the treatment I get?!! I'm so insulted! I am headed to more Targets to search for this item so I can take it back to Walmart. Truly disgusting service!!! Many times where they didn't carry beauty products other walmarts carried. The lady at the watch counter made a scratch on the back of my watch because she was trying to open it up when all I asked was what kind of battery my watch needed. She acted like she didn't do anything until I called her out on it and then tried to smooth it out with a sock? I should have known better than to hand over my watch to Walmart even if it was to just check what battery I needed. To top things off the pharmacy is rude and their policy is inconsistent.
