I was visiting Georgia for a wedding in Sandy Springs (30 miles away) and had a VERY LAST MINUTE wardrobe malfunction! I knew that I needed to visit an alteration store and it was on a Saturday which worried me even more because most alteration stores I've been to are closed on Saturdays. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to find this amazing family owned business that had flexible hours even for a Saturday. Jamie greeted me with such warmth and was very nice. I let her know of my situation and she not once made me feel like I was inconveniencing her with my situation. She listened and said "No problem, I'll fix it for you". Since I drove thirty miles, I didn't have time to leave then come back so I sat on the couch in there front lobby. She must've sensed my stress because she gave me an update every two minutes which was amazing and was able to calm me down! Not even 15 minutes goes by and she was finished! Wow, I made my first visit yesterday to A Plus Alteration and I believe the owner Jamie L. serviced me. I came with a new suit and three pairs of slacks. First I loved her professional engaging manor. I was attracted here because of the prior NY experience and I was not disappointed. Almost immediately I felt like I had already been a longtime established customer. She was so professional and engaging, and I immediately began to trust her expertise regarding my clothing and my fit. She actually even saved me money on this visit because one pair of slacks needed no work at all lol! We eventually agreed the suit did nothing for me and she recommended alternatives in the most professional, trusted, and nonjudgmental way! Her pricing seemed totally reasonable. I totally appreciated this all and was so glad I found her business yesterday! I drive past many tailors to get here but after this visit I'm believing it will be well worth it! My daughter's homecoming dress got in this past Friday, and the next day was her homecoming and the sleeves on the dress needed to be tighter. We ran over to A+ Alterations at 10am on Saturday (and had never been there), and there were several people already there. Heather at the front was so helpful and delightful and then I looked over and saw the "alteration artist", Jamie Park Lee, and she was magnificent! They were so busy and Jamie said, "I will get this done for your daughter, but it may be after hrs, but I will make sure it is done for her homecoming, tonight." Jamie is a miracle worker. Seriously. I had my wedding dress altered previously by someone else, and she butchered my wedding dress. It was the week before I was leaving for my wedding, and I was in a huge panic. I brought it to Jamie, and she fixed everything perfectly and in 3 days time! On top of that, my fiancé had purchased his tux at Saks, and the alterations person there ruined his tux by cutting the sleeves to short and leaving the pants too long!
