My favorite organic grapeseed oil. Great for skin and hair.

STILL FRIENDS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! Let me tell you about the coolness of TJ Maxx. This is a store that I have frequented since my college year. No matter where I have lived or how small the community, there has always been a TJ Maxx store close by. Allow me to share my favorite TJ Maxx memory: I remember being in the small town of Edmond, OK and seeing these exquisite 14kt gold door-knocker earrings featuring the liberty coin. They were an incredible statement piece but so unique that they needed to be paired with a like item. I made the decision to just walk away but could not get them out of my mind. Once I returned home, I happened to be shopping in my local store in Kansas and guess what I find: a massive 14kt gold slide featuring the liberty coin. It was an exact match to the earrings. I immediately purchased the item and once I returned home, I contacted the store in Edmond. They remembered me, ( I lingered and drooled for quite a while), and the earrings which were still there. I was able to order them over the phone and received them within two days. Priceless! Would this happen today? I doubt it! My second favorite more recent find was my sterling silver Burberry charm bracelet. This was at a time when I had given up on finding quality pieces because they were carrying more gaudy costume pieces. I didn't care that it was Burberry but I did care that it was a solid quality piece and that I could add more charms if I wanted to and the price was unbelievable. This is one of my favorite pieces that I tend to wear every day. Since my last review, this particular store has evolved and now carries more high-end pieces via their Runway Collection. Personally I am not defined by brands in that "look at me" sense. Certain brands only come into play in terms of known quality and fit. For example, I like a certain brand of bags because of the quality construction and all of the design features that I love. Now, if this designer started putting a garish logo on his bags, it would be over because that's not me. I don't believe that you have to purchase "high-end" in order to get quality. Quality should just be an industry standard but unfortunately it is not. This is the frustration I have with the current selection of accessories. There are just not enough quality pieces and much of what you see is made of poor construction and cheap materials. So choose wisely! On this visit, I scored a cute white button down shirt with embroidery along the front with adorable bell sleeves and a sleeveless fleece tunic which will be great with leggings or jeans. The real coupe was finding my favorite organic, cold pressed grapeseed oil. It comes in a can and has a great inner seal. Although you can cook with this particular oil, it is also great for softening hair and soothing skin which is how I choose to use it. It is difficult to find but I just kept watching and boom, it finally arrived, one can. Yes, I could and have ordered this on line, but there is something I appreciate about the joy of the hunt. Score!! Now for the cautionary tale: I purchased a really cool rose gold adjustable necklace from them. I was attracted by the color and the large coin in the center of the piece. When I actually handled it, I loved the weight and the huge lobster claw clasp. I purchased it and decided to later check their website for a coordinating bracelet. Imagine my shock when I found the exact necklace for $30 less than the price in the store. Yes, it was marked up in the store and considerably less on line. Of course I purchased it on-line along with the bracelet and will be returning the other one to the store. This was not a piece on clearance so I don't really understand the difference in pricing. Bottom line, double check those prices! TJ Maxx is that childhood friend that you grew up with but don't necessarily see on a regular basis. However, when you do reconnect, it's all hugs and kisses and great memories!

Me and my original $500 Kate Spade purchased here for under $200. Steal!

Now I remember why I stopped shopping at Kohl's! Used to be a frequent Kohl's customer but…read moreexperienced so much crappy customer service, not to mention how insulting it is they jack prices waaaayyy up and then have a 70% off sale!! So after I moved to John Creek and had so many other shopping choices I was over them. I don't know what possessed me to stop here today, I just was looking for something new, didn't remember how much I dislike this store. Big mistake! As I'm in the fitting room I can hear someone yelling, screaming curse words, angrily and violently just cursing someone out. I was afraid to leave the fitting room! I was sure there was about to be a hostage situation in the middle of Kohls. As it turned out it was the Kohl's employees in the store room cursing and yelling and being sounding violent with one another. Still a little afraid that something bad was going to go down I took my one item and went to the service desk to check out. I also had a 15% off coupon from Yelp for checking in at Kohl's today. The cashier did not know how to use the coupon so she asked the manager, Michael. Michael informed me that they did not take Yelp coupons, that Kohl's had never had any kind of agreement to take a Yelp coupon and he couldn't help me. He said that if I wanted to sign up for their email club then Kohl's would send me coupons that I could actually use, in a nasty little voice. Forget you, Kohls! I will not tolerate poor, down-right nasty customer service. Great job losing a customer AGAIN. I can't wait to hear what Kohls corporate and yelp think of his refusal to accept coupon.
