Late night and the store was still open. Busy with restocking blocking some areas but otherwise, clean and bright and tidy. I was able to find the couple of things I wanted, pay for it at the self-checkout (which surprisingly worked without needing assistance) and then use the (clean) men's room. This Walmart tolerates overnight parking in their lot and so I parked amongst a couple of other RVers in the area by the gas station, locked up and had a relatively peaceful night. This Walmart Supercenter like all the others has anything and everything you may need. It is a given every time anyone walks in Walmart the odds are they will walk out with more than they originally planned to buy. Additionally, other "cons" about Walmart are the long waiting lines and the how busy it gets. What I like about this Walmart in particular is the friendlier and larger parking lot, large murphy gas station next to it and even more affordable prices. read more

Generally good prices on food. Firearms, fishing, and other outdoor supplies are a great price and a wide selection is usually carried. Outdoor staff is knowledge enough to help with outdoor needs. Video games are expensive but that is not abnormal in comparison to other places. read more

I was on a vacation trip with my wife to NC and forgot my phone charger and stopped at the Commerce Walmart to buy one. Holy Smokes ! This is the Walmart all other Walmart' should be modelled after - fast friendly and knowledgeable sales associates. They were actually waiting at the entrance and in each department to help customers. They actually came up to you and offered to help. WOW ! That's just not going to happen in Birmingham , sorry. So whenever I'm back that way I will stop in and say hello and spend some $$$'s. read more

Sad to say it is just another poorly run Walmart. The staff are not helpful at all, that is assuming you can get one to talk to you. Most of the time they look away as to avoid eye contact. I cannot say I blame them as I would be ashamed to work there too. Is it just me or are the aisles getting smaller and smaller. They try to cram so much into the store that they leave little room for the customers. My favorite aisles is for cat food. When two carts can barley pass the aisle is getting two small. Not to mention the Walmart employee that was in the way since he thought scanning the shelves for restock was more important than getting out of the way of people shopping. My advice is to do yourself a favor and avoid this and every other Walmart if you want to keep your stress levels down. Ordered 4 tires for my 2011 Tacoma and had to wait 4 hours to get them mounted and installed. That's like an hour for each tire that's unacceptable. Their excuse is that there were only 2 mechanics on duty. That's BS should've let me know before I gave them my keys. read more

Great Walmart for the location. Good amount of product. There is a pharmacy, auto center, optometrist, bank, hair dresser, subway inside as well. I've dealt with customer service on multiple occasions and they've always been very accommodating. Having two children it's important to note that the bathrooms are always clean. Decent selection of wine/beer and produce is always fresh. Deli does a good job also. All in all great service from employees all around. read more

TRUCKERS BEWARE The sheriffs' only duty is to write truck parking tickets and the local tow co. is right there in his Back pocket. Just saw a J N J truck hooked to the wrecker and a FedEx expedite truck with 2 car rolloff wreckers blocking him from leaving. Pay the $$$$ then you can leave. I'm not really a fan of this Walmart especially since the newer Walmart opened in Toccoa, GA. It can be a good choice if you are in need of some entertainment on a late Friday night; that's when all the characters from around the area pour out of the woodwork. For one thing, this store should have been built much larger, more like the store in Anderson, SC, due to the amount of people in which this store serves in all the surrounding counties. There are 2 others approximately 25 - 30 miles north, but they serve their own communities and people north of there. To sum it up, I'm not a happy camper when shopping here. There are never enough full service registers open, way too dedicated to the 20 and under items lanes, and the shopping isles are all way to narrow, making it even hard to squeeze 2 carts past each other in most of them. Additionally, as small as this store is, their stock is VERY lacking in choices from the food isles especially, making it tough to find what I need when stock runs low. When it comes to animal food items, they choose to stop selling different brands all the time; the brands I have chosen to feed my pets. Thank goodness I have alternative stores to shop as I'm centered in between all the Walmarts in the NE Georgia area. read more

This Walmart has self-check scanners that do not work properly. I had 10 items to scan and 5 would not scan. Three separate times I approached an associate at the kiosk register at the entrance to the self-check scanners to scan the items for me. When I first approached each time, I had to wait until the associate finished their personal conversation with another employee to ask for help. When they finally helped get my items (on 3 separate occasions I had to approach the associate) scanned by logging in to the self scanner with their ID and manually entering the barcodes, I thought I was finished. Then after three separate times of asking for assistance, my last item would not scan. I decided to leave it and not buy it at this point of wasting my time and put in my card to pay for the scanned items, leaving the unscanned last item beside the scanner. Then, they decided to come and help because they saw I was not going to purchase the item but leave it aside and pay for the scanned items. What a waste of time! Will not go here again. Scanners malfunction regularly, and associates waste your time! They are playing games! I rate this Walmart zero! read more

I've been to Walmart many many times and this one is very gentle and calm compared to other Walmart's I have ever been to! I think that the workers there are very nice and helpful! Overall this Walmart is very useful and gets your shopping list done fast! So this Walmart gets five stars from me! read more
