Please beware of this walmart if you ever need an oil change. We got our car oil change there before a family road trip. My father in law normally always changes our oil, but we were unable to coordinate; so to this walmart we stopped. Come next oil change, we found they used the WRONG OIL FILTER!!!!! Went looking for futon that the normal store, they said was out of stock at their place. Came here to look for the same one and it also seemed like it was out of stock. I try not to go to Walmart. My mom wanted to go and we had a good experience. She ordered an item online and we went to pick it up in the store. They have an area near the front of the store to wait while they brought it to us. There were comfortable leather club chairs. We received the item quickly and got right out of the store. Overall a good experience. Order online and you don't have to shop in person. read more

I ordered 4 tires online on 9/13. It's now 10/12. I've been in contact with walmart customer service 4 times with 4 different people. Tonight , #4, I was told again my refund was being processed, but I will have to wait up to 48 hours to receive an email to verify my cancellation/refund. After that it will take an additional 10 to actually get my money back. This is the 3rd time I've been told in the past 20 days that they are processing my refund. They "lost" my tires and won't return my money. The worst part is that I've called the automotive center where they 'allegedly' arrived. 5 times and not once has anybody answered the phone. Not once! How do you run a department in a store and never answer the phone? I wanted to buy tires at walmart in case I'm out of town and I have a tire go out, there's always a walmart around to get it fixed at. Not with this kind of customer service. I prefer to drive over to Bloomington rather than go to the Wal-mart near my apartment in Normal. Most places in Normal seem to be packed with entitled rude people. They will get in your space with not so much as an excuse me. The traffic is not as heavy and they have slightly better store layout. Other than that it's the typical Wal-mart. Lots of cheap items to be had. I do not but many groceries here because I find better deals at Aldi. read more

Seriously, greatest Wal Mart ever. I've been to a few in my life (in Illinois and beyond) and this was - by far - the best Wal Mart. We don't have many Super Wal Marts up here in the north, so I was impressed with the huge grocery selection. There was a deli with fresh meats and cheeses as well as pre-prepared meals to take to go. The produce selection was pretty high quality and very large - I liked that you could get your normal produce as well as some more 'obscure' produce. The rest of the grocery section is huge and carries all the name brands as well as the store brand. And the prices are insanely cheap - even compared to the Wal Marts up here, the prices are much lower. I was really happy that we detoured at this store because we got grocery shopping done for much less than we would have at Strack and Van Til. The reason we came here was to get a tire changed. I woke up this morning and realized that the front left tire of my car had gone flat overnight - argh! The Tire & Lube Center at this Wal Mart was the only auto repair shop open on Sundays in Bloomington so we really had no choice - it looked like the tire couldn't be repaired. We brought it in and the staff was very friendly. They immediately served us and began working on the car. All of the tires happened to be on sale, so I only paid $60 for the most expensive tire they offered in my car's size - yes!! The service was quick and the man that repaired my tire knew what he was doing. This is why we ended up going shopping in the first place - we needed to kill time somehow! The rest of the store was almost immaculately organized - seriously the first time I have EVER seen a Wal Mart that was not in a state of total chaos. The shelves were full and neatly organized. Granted, there was a bunch of Christmas stuff (it's only November 2!!!), but it was very neat and pleasant to look at. They also had a giant selection of everything - they had more scrapbooking items than any of the other Wal Marts I have ever visited and they had very large clothing sections, as well. Since this is a Supercenter, this store had everything! A Wal Mart Money Center, a nail place, a salon, an auto repair shop, a photo place - everything! All in all, the best Wal Mart I have ever seen. Only downside: the Dunkin Donuts inside closed on Friday! Now there is no coffee! Oh well, there's always a Starbucks down Market St. read more

I was here a few weeks ago to pick up a bunch of plain black binders since they were a good price, and I needed a large number of them. I came in and they had about half of what I needed, except that of those, about 5 were badly bent or otherwise maimed. I asked if there were others, and the person helping me looked at the shelf and said, "there are more right there." I showed her how they were in bad shape, and she said, "oh, sorry, that's all we have." I found somebody else to ask if they knew when stock was coming in, and this person assured me that there would be a truck coming in the very next morning that had a large number of them, and that they should be on the shelves in the morning. I came back the next day in the afternoon, since I couldn't make it in before work, and I went to the shelves where they should have been. Those same beaten up binders were there. I asked another sales associate where the new ones were. She checked, and said that none had come in, and it would probably be another few days before they got any. I think I've said all I really need to say about this store. I knew there was a reason I stopped coming to Walmarts, and this experience only added another reason. read more

This Wal-Mart is a very uncomfortable store to shop in. Today I stopped to find a coin battery and I could not find anyone to assist me to find the battery or if they even have them for sale. I left the store to return home and I would try to call the electronic department to ask if they have the battery I needed. After calling the number and a voice answered only to direct me to push 2 for electronic. The phone rang for 34 times before a customer service person answered and asked how she could direct my call. I told her that the electronic department did not answer the phone, she transferred my call back to electronics and she would also page that dept. The phone rang for a total of 57 times and nobody answered the phone after she transferred my call. This is not customer service but a way to dismiss a customer to shop at any other store in our area. Thanks Wal-Mart for a very poor customer service system that this store projects. This is why I just don't like going to this store and I only live 3 miles from the store. I will drive across town to shop at any other store to find what I need. read more

On an 85 degree day, it was noticed by a customer that two dogs were locked inside another customers car. When it is over 80 degrees outside, the temperature of a car can reach 120 degrees or more pretty quickly The manager on duty was asked to call the police and refused.
