I bought a BROTHER SQ9285 Computerized Sewing & Quilting machine on 9/11/25 and after I got it home, it didn't work. The machine had been used and Walmart put it back on the floor to resale it.. I took it back the next day today 9/12/25 and bought a different machine Singer Heavy Duty 44S and got it home and the only thing inside the box was a plastic cover over the machine! No packing, No book, No nothing... NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything other than food from there. Someone had used and OPENED both sewing machines.. read more

This store needs some managers or something! I was getting milk and had to wait for an employee who was talking with her boyfriend on speaker phone to get out of the way. She wasn't doing any work, just standing in front of the milk talking very loudly on speaker. I was trying to get down an isle and had to ask two employees who were just standing in the way doing nothing but chatting it up together if they could please move so I can shop and give this store my money!!! I asked one employee where something was and was sent clear across the store only to find out it was on the next isle where I was, back across the store! I'm having a really hard time understanding what the employees here do and what do they get paid for??? read more

With Beaumont being the biggest city in the Coonie Triangle, naturally it has a Walmart. When I first started coming to this area, it was located on the west side of the Eastex Freeway, where a car dealership is now. It moved to this location some time since 2010. At least someone was able to figure out what to do with that yuge plot of land with all that concrete. Walmart is now located near Parkdale Mall, several minutes' drive from the Eastex. Like many big-box stores on Dowlen, there are smaller buildings in front so it's easy to miss the big box waaaay in the back. It's hard to get into and out of the parking lot. This is one of the bigger Wally Worlds I've been to. Reasonably clean, large selection, customer service is lacking. Harder to find my way around this one than most I've been to. But it did have a computer part that the Vidor one was out of. Like most Wally Worlds, this one is actively moving people away from a checkout line and into a self-checking area. Not only is it easier to steal things, but it can isolate us from other human beings. With Texas pretty much out of the Scamdemic mindset, I make it a point to go to a line where a checker is NOT wearing an oxygen blocker and show the checker a lot of love. They have a tough job that pays low, so I try to pass the love along, and it's important to rebuild the personal connections that have been stolen from us since 2020. You can't do that in a self-checkout area. Walmart is there if you're in the area, but I'll stick to the Vidor one if I need to go there. read more

Went in yesterday and mind you I never go through a cashier line.. but being it was a Friday and was super busy at self checkouts.. that's what I did... little did I know the 9 items (that I already pre scanned) ($39.12) came out to be $77... and the cashier had already messed up scanning my items and was hellbent on what I owed her.. after I had items put back items the price barely went down Pennie's and I decided Walmart was not the store for me and I told the cashier to cancel the transaction, that I was taking my business elsewhere, she was so persistent about where I was going and upset that I "wasted her time" honestly just felt scammed and uncomfortable. Curb side pick up is trash. We ordered for pickup at 1pm and got a notification at 7pm that our order was delayed. Then said was delayed for 2 hours when curbside closes at 8 pm giving me an option to pick up the next day. Tried calling for a refund and can't get curbside or anyone to even answer. This place is awful. it seems that customer service is indeed dead. I've just spent 20 of the last 25 minutes waiting to check out at the only non self serve register. I was 3rd in line. Right after I got in line 4 more lined up right behind me. Meanwhile, as we are lining up and waiting several employees walk right thru the line laughing and chatting it up on their way to smoke. There was no effort to open a second register the entire time I waited, even though more and more people got in line. Let me clarify, none of us where purchasing items that would be easy to go thru the self check out with. We all had full carts. I use self check whenever I can. I am a former Walmart employee, of two different stores. I worked every shift. When the front end became busy, we where pulled from stocking to handle the rush. Once the rush was over we would go back to stocking. There was no effort made here to do the same. The complete indifference toward the customer is astounding. Unfortunately this store, as many others all over the country, happens to be the only business that's open at this hour or provide the inventory to meet the varied needs one may have at this hour. So, they have no need to retain customers. The customer has no choice but to shop here. Believe me, if I had another option I'd take it. If you live or work around here you have the choice of one of two Walmarts. This one and the one towards highway 347/Port Neches. I would rate the Walmarts with each other as Walmarts that are nestled around decent neighborhoods with better than average up keep in their cleanliness (can never talk about service, we all know there are never any 5 star walmarts nor enthused employees so don't bs us) and the ones that are plopped smack in not so desired neighborhoods. Meet Walmart on Dowlen. I might not live in Beaumont but can pretty much tell you that the neighborhood isn't that bad unless you consider 11th street which is about 7 minutes drive away to be part of it but other than that you are flanked here by Parkdale Mall, dozens of stores and restaurants. read more

Place you order for delivered merchandise and 99% of the time it is delivered when they say that it supposed to be. There is a order section where you can pick the day and time you want something and it will be there !!! If you order groceries then you get it on time. You really don't have to deal with anyone because there orders are there in the app ads. Just order and wait. They let you know when it's to be delivered and it usually is !!! read more

I have been to this Walmart multiple times since I have moved here. I have been told I was a liar by the pharmacy manager and treated like garbage. He told me I was trying to break the law just because I needed my prescriptions filled. My wife went there to rectify the situation as well and not one manager or person wants to acknowledge us. Would have been a better experience if the 2 TV hawks had not tried to be cute in trying to sell me a TV then trying to sell me TV programming. I had the worst experience EVER at this Beaumont TX Walmart auto center! I ordered tires online and had them shipped to this particular Walmart. I was given a date and time of arrival and a date and time to have the tires put on. I went in on the time given and ANDREW, the service tech working in automotive at the time of arrival immediately told me that he was not putting on anymore tires that day! Mind you, I arrived at 5:33 p.m. and my appointment was at 6 p.m., and automotive does not close until 7 p.m. at this particular Friday July 154, 2023. I walked inside to talk with the desk person that was working the register and was told by her that she could not doing anything for me. I asked for a manager and waited for 45 minutes and still saw no one. I asked the lady again for the manager and I was told that I would just have to wait! She was rude from beginning to end. I left the store and called back in hopes of maybe speaking to a manager. I was put on hold for exactly 47 minutes and no one came back to the phone! I came back in the next morning, Andrew was still the service tech. He told me he would TRY to put the tires on. His body language, verbal language, and attitude was rude and he really did not want to put the tires on for me. After the service was done, the cashier ringed up the tire installment to $1600.00! I told her the tires were paid for online and that I was just responsible for the installment. She wanted to argue differently until I showed her my online receipt. At this point, after being proven wrong, she never said another work; not even a thank you! Why make an appointment when they don't adhere to the time and date and then be RUDE for their mess ups. I will NEVER order and send to this Walmart again! I will also make sure that friends and family know of this situation so they won't have the same outcome. read more

I was at this Wal-mart store on Saturday, 10/12/2019 at 10:30 AM and went to purchase a Karaoke machine. I asked the sales person in the electronic department if they had them. The young black man responds was "I don't know" but we have some they would be on one of the aisles. To my amaze he wasn't concerned about assisting me at all. He immediately left the area and was no where to be found. I came across another young lady who has helped other times in the electronic department and she immediately told me, "she wasn't sure if they had anymore but they could be found in the Toy department.' I wish you had more employees like here rather than the young man who was running from assisting. You know good customer service is important to me because I don't have to mind my money to received rude customer services. I would suggest you retrain some of your employees and let them know the customers are how they get paid. read more

A few weeks ago, my wife and I were at the Beaumont, Texas Walmart for some grocery shopping. We were making chili that weekend and were getting some Fritos for it. The "party size" scoops were marked (twice) as being $3.00. When we got to the register (the self-check out one as the lines for the regular lines are always insanely long due to poor staffing), the Fritos scoops rang up as $4.47. We immediately pointed this out to the associate managing the self-checkout area, and she told us she could not fix any incorrect pricing, even though we offered to show her where the price was marked (again, twice) at $3.00. She told us that we would have to go ahead and pay the incorrect price and then proceed to customer service to receive a refund for the price difference. After waiting about ten minutes in the customer service line (there was only one associate helping customers even though three others were just standing around apparently just chatting, so I had my wife go to where the Fritos were to take a picture on here phone of the price being marked twice as $3.00), they were unable to fix the problem either as they said they couldn't change the price because the label saying three dollars--which was clearly under the party size bags--did not specify the size of the bag. Extremely frustrated, I just left without this problem being corrected and without even receiving any sort of apology or anything from any of the Walmart associates. If it had not been the weekend, I would have insisted on speaking to the store manager. Instead, I waited until Monday and called the corporate complaint line, where I spoke to someone who I could barely understand and who could barely understand me. Nonetheless, I described my issue/problem to this person. After a few days, I received a call from the store manager, who, by the way, asked for a name completely different from my own. Somehow, even my name couldn't get recorded correctly. The result of my call with the manager though was that I was going to go up to Walmart the following Monday around four in the afternoon--the manager wanted me to specify a time--to speak to a Stephanie in order to address my problem and frustration. However, upon arriving at Walmart at the specified time and place the manager instructed me, I was told Stephanie was away from the customer service desk. I was asked if someone else could help me, but I replied that I was instructed to ask for Stephanie and that she would have been briefed on the situation. So I waited; over thirty minutes I waited. Finally, I asked about Stephanie and whether she was going to be returning to the customer service desk anytime soon. Basically, I got a bunch of "we don't know" answers, at which point, I asked to speak to some sort manager about my issue. The result of all this--of multiple conversations in person with associates and multiple phone calls, etc.--was that I was given three dollars cash to make up the difference in price. I am comparing this location to my usual store back at home. The deli section is tiny. i went in to get my prescription and some basics to stock the mini-fridge in our hotel room. The employees are just SLOW. I understand how people might hate their jobs, but if you work with the public there's a certain level of service I expect. I asked the girl in the deli to cook a pizza for me and she looked at me as if I were crazy. They didn't have any pre-cooked slices either. Both of these things are something I get at my regular Walmart. The pharmacy was slow and I got different stories from different employees regarding the status of my prescription. After waiting 20 minutes I was told that they had to order my medication and it hadn't come in yet. Came back the next day and they had ordered the wrong meds and it turned out they had my prescription in stock already. The pharmacy tech brought a bottle to me to show me the pill to make sure it was the right one, and instead of the 37.5mg I needed, she almost gave me the 75mg dose. This kind of mistake is unacceptable. Makes me worry about other customers who aren't as attentive as I am. I would normally rate this two stars but the pharmacy dosage mix-up downgraded the review to one star. read more

Wal-Mart Supercenter. "Gotta love it!!" I actually took a trip to San Jose, CA and went with my friend to Wal-Mart because I needed some things. Odd enough, they only have a regular Wal-Mart in the process of renovation to becoming the Supercenter. Go figure. Anyway, I prefer to go on Sunday afternoon because it's rarely that busy which is great because I hate waiting. The customer service here at this particular Wal-Mart could be better. Pretty blah, like everyone seems like they hate their job or something. I just ignore the "BLAH" service and just grab the things I need and just be on my way. This particular location is pretty clean - I was in there yesterday afternoon & I think they're done with renovating our Wal-Mart because everything's moved around and majority of all their customers have this confused look on their faces and I think they wanna say "WTH Is It?" Bathrooms are absolutely DISGUSTING. Smells like a mile wide yeast infection and there's always piss on the toilet seat, and it's the WOMENS BATHROOM. The plus sized fashion for women is little to none, nothing cute anyways. and you can never find any women's shoes above a 10. Want to try something on in the dressing room? Good luck! It seems it closes earlier and earlier every day and even if you show up at 9am the workers will be nowhere to be found. On April 4, 2018, I went to this Walmart store to purchase some office supplies. After selecting the items I wanted I went through the Flower & Garden center, & got checked out by an elderly lady who was very kind by the way. Today April 16, 2018, I had to return one of the items (a pencil sharpener by iPoint Orbit) because it stopped working. I had my receipt & had every intention of using the refund from the returned item to partially pay for a different brand because I didn't feel confident in the iPoint Orbit brand because it stopped working only after having it for 8 or so days. At no time did the ladies at the register greeted me, smile, or apologize for the item not working, however, the first thing the lady asked me for was the box for the item. No customer service. ugh. I advised her that the item did not come in a box but a wrapper of some sort that I threw away. She then proceeded to tell me that she couldn't return it without the box, that puzzled me because she had my receipt. She then went on to explain that the receipt doesn't show the purchase of a sharpener, which was a shocker for me. I told them again that the elderly lady who rung up my purchase on 4-7-2018 must have inadvertently (I'm assuming it was an error) rung my item up as a ruler. The lady at the register still told me that she could not return it. after getting nowhere with her, I asked for a manager because the error was on Walmart part, not mine & now I felt like I was being given the runaround and that just infuriated me. Now mind you, this is over a $3.00 item that has cost me over 30 plus minutes of my time. I told the lady at the register that it wasn't about the money & it really wasn't, its the principle of the thing & how I was treated from the beginning. I purchased something at the store with the intentions of keeping it, but it did not work. Now I was bringing it back so that 1, I can buy a better product or 2, get my money back. It should have stopped at the manager but NOOOOO. This manager Lori came into the picture to help (or so I thought). Now I'm not saying that she profiled me because I'm a black lady but when she told me to hold on so that she can check the camera & actually left me to go to check said camera, that did it for me. I've never been treated with such disrespect and like I am some common criminal. I have a career that pays me well & can more than afford to pay for the things I need & would have no desire to steal from a company or try to pull a wool over someone's eyes for a measly $3, Walmart should be ashamed of the people hired to represent the company. I've been going to Walmart for years. I have a Sam's card that I use to purchase items frequently but this experience has caused me to never desire to go back & patronize any of their stores/companies. Now I know my little coins probably won't make a difference but I refuse to continue to give my money to pay people who work their who are like that woman. On Wednesday 6/19/14, I bought a printer from this store. Since I didn't need it, I took it back on the next day. This store REFUSED to follow their own policy and declined to refund my money. This is not the first problem that I have had with this store. Their door greeters BLOCK the exits and will not let you leave until you show your receipt...which by the way, is a violation of their policy and state law. I have contacted an attorney on this issue and we will let the courts decide. read more

I don't usually shop at Walmarts and I always forget why until 1 day I'm like "okay, I'll run to Walmart" and then I remember "oh yea, that's' why" This Walmart is filthy, but it's a Walmart so that's par for the course. The other review stating that she thinks there are fleas there is correct, I am covered in bites. Once again, not enough registers open, par for the course. Unhappy folks working there, check (and bless them, I know it's not their fault, wishing they all find better jobs elsewhere). Whatever, I got what I needed, and got the heck out. What really caused me to write a review on this particular Walmart is that I was harassed in the parking lot after I left. I had racial slurs screamed at me and threatened to have my purse stolen by 3 African American women in a car, for nothing more than walking in front of their car to get to my car. Let me clarify, They were driving down the row about 40-50 feet away from me (plenty of time to get across the aisle, given that the speed limit is like 5 miles an hour) I hear them honking, reving their engine and screaming out the window (from 40-50 feet away). I'm already through to the next row of cars by the time they passed where I had crossed (once again, plenty of time) so they made a U-turn at the end of the row and came back up to continue their shrieking. It seemed to me like they were just in the mood to abuse someone and I happened to cross their path. I felt bad for the family with the little baby who crossed with me because they screamed at them too but they actually followed me to my car. Now, I know what you are thinking "how is this Walmart's fault?" and to a degree you are correct, however, they owned the property that the incident happened on and had they had security patrolling the area, there's a much higher chance that it wouldn't' have. In addition, there were cart collectors on the lot that I know saw the incident and did nothing to help. If you don't like being harassed, pay a little extra and go somewhere else. Leave Walmart to the types of folks who think screaming at pedestrians and babies is acceptable. read more

Long wait time to check out since the cashier in garden center could not properly work the cash register to delete an incorrectly entered item on my attempted purchase and another customer 2 folks ahead of me had difficulty checking out due to register issues. This appears to be a training or equipment problem ostensibly ignored by Walmart management. Once an item is in the register it could not be removed. I agree with previous comments regarding lack of care for customers by employees who treat customers with rudeness and indifference to help resolve problems. I have encountered very rude employees in the past at this store but did not write a review about their behavior, but this checkout process is the final straw. I did not purchase any of the items at Walmart; I decided to go to another grocery store for the items that I intended to purchase at this poorly run Walmart. Yes, some of the items were a little bit more at the other grocery store, but it was a very small amount for a much better shopping experience and cleaner environment. As a consumer we DO have choices as to where we spend our hard earned money; stores that do not want my business will not get my money. I am willing to pay a little bit more to shop where the customer's time and needs are valued. read more

Bottom line, this is the WORST Walmart ever! It's dirty, the people are rude, even the supposed door greeters, there are always employee's and other people just hanging around outside the store, which is pretty intimidating. Get a work room for your employees. There are never enough cashiers, it is always so hot in that store, and never, ever think you are just "going to run in and out" at this store, it will never happen, plan on a long wait.
