What is it about some Beaumont that has such a limited selection of stores and such but bemamoths pretty much all HEB's in Houston? Well, Eddie here again, here to compare Beaumont to Houston businesses because most of the Yelpers that I know who commute to Beaumont are also back and forth to Houston just like me. I probably have stepped into a dozen other HEB's and this one pretty much has it all and in that I mean an HEB that sells big screen Tv''s? It has it's own electronic and appliance department. Apart from this there are also the other selection of your bulk spices, fruits, specialty meat section, wine, you name it, it's here. Parking is plenty, there is always a security lady every time I visit here when it's dark. read more

This HEB pharmacy on Dowlen Rd is poorly run and highly inefficient. But worse, is the inconsiderate and unfriendly service from the ladies at the front counter. Extremely rude is the best description and store management doesn't give one iota about their attitudes. They ignore they're rude and unfriendly behavior and elevate their employees sarcasm and disrespect above their customer's needs. Zero appreciation what-so-ever! Best advice is stay far, far away. They will never try to earn your business. Apparently they have more than they can handle. So sad! Big isn't always better! Look elsewhere to quality service!! read more

I never leave reviews but I called to ask about the lady if she knew how long it would be for my prescription to be ready as I live out of town and she said "no I do not they will give you a call " and hung up .... We came to Heb Plus for some late night shopping and the store was packed. Planming on barbecuing tomorrow and needed some meat. This store is humongous. Anything you need they got it. There are about 15 check out lanes and just about all if them was open. Tge meat counter is phenomenal . we were looming for seasoned ribs to grill and we got the last pack. The bakery is also really nice with lots of delicious varieties. I love getting the carrot cake, it is hot to be the best carrot cake I've ever tasted. The slices are pretty big and packed full of carrots raisans and nuts. You won't be disappointed with this desert. Heb Plus has got to be another favorite for me. There's a Huge variety of item ypu can't find anywhere else in town and lots of items have coupons attached. Buy one item snd get 2-3 additional items for free. Thats a heck of a deal. They had coupons for coffee where you get one follar off each box with no limit. Bargain of the week for me. The staff was friendly and attentive, everyone greeted us with a welcoming smile. HEB reminds me of a Louisiana chain supermarket, Rouses. No 2 stores are a like and some are phenomenal and some are bare bones. This one is great. If I had to describe this location with 1 word, it's variety. They have tons of things I have never seen on other grocery shelves. I've been working in Beaumont a lot in the past 9 months and this is by far the best store around. Let me break it down for you: Produce: Huge selection! I don't think I've ever seen this much fruit in one store. They had more variety of apples than I think actually exist. I think they made some of them up. Impossible to have this many variety. Meat/Seafood market: The meat market was solid. They have a true butcher onsite. Nice 2 inch steaks in the case ready for your grill. Not very big in comparison to the seafood market. The seafood market is huge! The have a ton of local gulf fish, live lobsters, Alaskan snow crab! Are you kidding me? Deli: They feature Boarsbead and their own brand meats. They also have a variety of cheeses and ready made meals. Things like pasta salads, chicken breast, fish, crab cakes, cooked veggies and more. This is all for the lazy shopper....I am that person Beer/Wine: Solid selection. The wines are arranged by country. I'm not a huge wine connoisseur(yes I googled how to spell that) so that's all the input I can give. The beer selection is really nice. A ton of craft beers many of which are local. You can even by bottles individually of many of their brands. Health foods: There is an entire aisle for vitamins and protein powders. Theres a nother aisle that has the biggest selction of protein/energy bars I've ever seen. Including the elusive Quest bars. No worries they have all the shitty foods too. You can get your Oreo's and wash it down with one of their crazy craft sodas. You can buy these by the bottle too. I saw Caramel Cola, Pumpkin Pie Soda, and Dewberry Soda just to name a few. WTF is a Dewberry? I honestly tried to find a reason to not give this place 5 stars but they have everything and more, no wait in the cashier lines, self checkouts, and their prices are great. read more

I like this place, A LOT! The mega H-E-B offers a little bit of everything. From fresh deli and specialty cakes, to electronics and fresh flowers, they have everything. Located on the west end, this location has a huge parking lot and a lot of workers. Out of every grocery store in Beaumont this is probably the best it has to offer. read more

Just a few reasons why you will see me at HEB every other day. -Grind your own Peanut Butter station -Smiling Sushi dude with samples everyday -Boars Head lunch meat -Sale rack in the back by the beer/wine section -Pretty good little selection of craft beer and wine My only big suggestion is to go in there focused. Make a list and stick to it otherwise you could potentially walk out of there with an entertainment center, frozen pizza, and get home with no recollection of why you even needed to go there in the first place. HEB amazes me every time I come to Beaumont. I can't think of anywhere else in the area where I can find Navitas Chia Seeds, Fage Greek Yogurt, and real steel-cut oats. I am very particular about what I eat, and thanks to HEB I don't have to live off of Kashi bars the whole time I'm in town. Even my grocery store in Dallas can't compete. I have to make a special trip to Wholefoods for these things. On top of all that, the ladies who work in the movie department make a special effort to help my grandmother every time she is looking for a new dvd. Great store, great service. read more

Terrible customer service Cashier Brittany C. was apparently having a bad day I finally figured it out after she said "I have got to go home I am having a bad day" six times! Her day became worse when she rang up a 19.95 pan for 199.50!! Then the CSM apologizes for her behavior, but says she can not send her home because Brittany C. just found out she was pregnant and was having "Medical problems" and she and I quote here "Needed the Money" Really CSM?! How much information do you think I need?! HEB needs to remember that the only thing that sets grocery stores apart from one another is customer service. And I will be seeing a lot more of Kroger's Customer Service from now on. read more

I was just diagnosed with the flu and came to this pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled as it was closest to the urgent care. When dropping them off, I asked how long they would take because I really didn't feel good. She told me an hour which seemed long. Then the pharmacist or pharmacy tech said "you know, I don't feel good either." Which I thought was rude and unprofessional. Needless to say we took my prescription to Walgreens who got it filled in 10 minutes. We won't be coming back to this pharmacy and that's a bummer because we love the grocery store part of H-E-B. read more

I either go here or Krogers that is down the road whenever I'm in Beaumont. This place is like HEB on steroids. I guess that is why it is called HEB Plus!. Not only can you get groceries but kitchen appliances, big screen televisions and other stuff you don't normally see in regular HEBs. read more

This place is huge! Like HUGE! You could get lost in here and I guess they are def right when they say everything is bigger in Texas. We came in just to shop around and look for cold brew coffee and almost got lost in the aisles. They have everything you could ever ask for and we loved the self check out lines. read more

Still the best supermarket in town- I have always found what I'm looking for there, and usually more than I meant to get in the first place. There's always plenty of checkouts open, the deli has a large selection of meats and cheeses, and they have an organic/natural/bulk section for those people with special requests. I lived in Houston for a time and got to love nice, big grocery stores. There is no other store that comes close in our area. But with each new store they are getting nicer. HEB is an institution in this area, and probably Texas as well. The store here at Dowling and Delaware is a fairly large store and stocks a lot of products that you can't get at the local Kroger's. HEB is really into producing their own brands of different foods and other products. Most attempts are done very well, with only the occasional variation from what the original tasted like. I like HEB just fine, but find that I mostly shop at Walmart, and Kroger's due to them being more accessible for me. But I do like HEB! read more

This is a great HEB! It is probably the biggest one I've seen. The fish department is excellent. Plenty of options, with very reasonably priced catfish nuggets. Also, there is self serve trail mix, chocolate almonds, coffee, etc. The employees are also very helpful, and the store is clean. Even though it is a big store, I got in and out in no time. Finally, the prices are very competitive. I recommend this store with no reservations whatsoever. read more

Easily the best grocery store in town. I even shopped here when I worked for a rival store in town. Their meat shop is pristine and they have a great variety of cuts. Their overall selection in the aisles is great. The only knock I have on the store is the produce section, there are often fruit flies buzzing around and many times there is clearly rotten/rotting vegetation sitting there to be bought. That said, this is still the best grocery store in the area by miles. read more

I shop HEB at least one a week. Prices are good and tons of variety. There fresh flowers are beautiful and will last a good two weeks. I enjoy the atmosphere during my shopping experience until it's time to check out. It's such a bummer when the cashier doesn't greet you or smile because she's too busy talking to the bagger. The person bagging your groceries is more service educated than the cashier. I will continue to shop HEB due to price and variety. read more

Best grocery store in town by a country mile. Miles above Market Basket in selection, even further better than Kroger in.. well, everything. After shopping at Kroger for so long, I went to the seafood department and it didn't actually REEK of fish. That's a sign of freshness. The only knock on the store is their produce department. Many things there, particularly the onions and shallots, are constantly borderline rotten. Other than that, there is absolutely no reason to shop anywhere else. read more
