Walmart experience is typically always a smooth experience, from finding products to checking out. Sometime, it's a bit of a slow response when you have to ring for service in certain departments. So for the past month I have been ordering online for my garden and everything. Most of my orders are either out of stock, delayed, missing, or something wrong. I had some thing delivered yesterday and they missed an entire order stating it was delivered. I stopped the delivery guy and help him there for 30 minutes until we figured things out, which I had to call another number to have AI reship the order to me. So today, I receive 1 item instead of 2 because it was buy 1 get 1 free. Again, they cant do anything about it and also gave me this statement: Due to a recent update in Walmart's policy, we no longer have the option to issue promo codes or goodwill credits in situations like this. Why shop at a place that doesnt take accountability for its errors and mistakes. Never again. This was the final straw and I will shop elsewhere from now on. I just watched a disturbing video of a Walmart employee and her colleague treating a customer in an absolutely humiliating and unprofessional way. No one should ever be spoken to or handled like that in a store. Walmart needs to take this seriously, identify the employee, and terminate her to send a clear message that this behavior isn't tolerated. Love this store! It's the closest grocery store to where I live, so it's been my go-to for anything I'd normally get at a drug store too. Their order pick up is difficult to navigate unless you know you need to check in on the app when leaving to the store and when you arrive. The employees don't seem to know how to answer questions when you get there, and their phone line was busy when I called. read more

Ordered four tires, installation and scheduled an appointment all online. I receive multiple communications about my future appointment and to be on time. Two hours before the scheduled appointment I receive communications that the tires haven't been delivered and they were cancelling my appointment. After calling the store, with no responses and then corporate customer service several times. We were given the tracking numbers for the ship to store shipping. FedEx reported all four tires, aka packages, were delivered a week earlier. They had been onsite for a week before the appointment. After over 90 minutes and 8 phone calls, the store was finally able to locate the tires. I also learned from this experience Walmart removed the installation services and was looking to charge me when I arrived local service charges! They did this the day before my appointment based on the posting of the charge on my credit card. Why do they offer online ordering and scheduling if they are not going to honor it? So Devon, the tire manager, agrees we can come in the next day at the same time for installation and that the fees for installation and TPMS service would be free of charge. We we arrived the staff knew about the situation and who we were, but not about the promised service. They were going to call the manager and agreed to work on the car. After 1 hour and 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment the tires were finally pulled. I received emails tell me this. It took almost 2 hours just to really start working the situation for a problem situation already! After 2.5 hours we were told it was done. I asked about the TPMS service. The accused me of not telling them about the need, yet I had a witness to prove I did. I went looking for the store manager. I representative talked to me and they basically said she'd talk to tire team about re-training. I asked about the store manage and was told they didn't get in until Noon. I suggest she go back to the tire department and make sure we were a priority. She did go back there. When asked why the car wasn't lifted yet, she said it was and they were working on it. Several minutes later we noticed the car moving front to back, it was still on the ground. Several minutes later we noted a portion of the door and mirror were now higher in reference the the car next to it which had not move. The car was finally lifted. The manager mis-represented the situation, lied. I went looking for the storage manager since it now 12:10pm, over 3 hours to install four tires. The manager wasn't there yet, so I waited. Several minutes later Devon walks in and says I hear your waiting for me. I asked if he was the store manager, no I'm the tire manager. Seems I was mislead yet again by the acting store manager. I came here to buy groceries and cat food. I went first to the food area and purchased the food and products that I needed. I purchased chocolate and candies, condiments, fruits and vegetables, soap, shampoo, wine, juices, milk and many more. I also purchase pie and sushi. I bought sushi since it was a spicy crab roll and it was my first time eating spicy sushi. Their pie only cost $5 so I bought it. After purchasing food for my family I went to the cat supply area. I bought 1 sack of catfood. I also bought her a treat.  I think you can find all the products you need here since they have huge and large inventory. The best of the best. It's as if you have a personal shopper with you at all times. Cocktail dresses, summer dresses, and casual clothes for all seasons are all appropriate uses for this fabric. Their merchandise is not cheap, but it is also not outrageously expensive, and they have good sales. Highly recommend this place! read more

I've have been hitting in the pick up parking for 25 mins and have watched 7 cars leave with their items. For 45mins . This isn't the best Walmart, but it's the closest one to me. It's opened 24 hours, so it's a convenient place to stop in at odd hours if I need groceries or other items. Their grocery prices are average and you can find better deals at Jewel or Aldi on most things. Their Asian food section isn't very big, but they have the basics - rice, noodles, coconut milk and sauces. I get the feeling they have issues with thief in the cosmetics department because there are video cameras in the aisle and a monitor that clearly informs you that you are being recorded. Some of the cosmetic products have highlighted security tag on them. One of the worst Walmart stores I've been in. They are always understocked of the things that should be readily available. Most of the staff are not helpful at all. One woman wouldn't let me buy alcohol during COVID because my license was expired even though Illinois had given a grace period to get it renewed. She had the nerve to tell me I had plenty of time to get it renewed. She was very rude. The door greeters don't greet, they are there only to check receipts as you leave. Just recently the people at the self check out are sneaking up and pressing five stars before you get a chance to rate your visit yourself. Their parking is falling apart and is littered with trash. I rarely am the type to leave bad reviews. But... Why do I EVEN TRY with Walmart?!? I researched a good wifi router and Walmart is supposed to carry it. So I go to the Kirk Rd. location and park and go inside and I am one of maybe five customers in the entire store at opening. I go back to electronics and find routers in a glass case. I preemptively pressed the 'call attendant' button because I will need someone to open the case. I go back to looking for my router and see the encased shelf is empty. Nine minutes pass and no one comes. I press the button again and wait. An employee walks past and I flag her down. I ask if she can help me with routers. She says, and I quote, "Um nope." I ask if she can call someone over who can? She says, "Also nope" and just turns around and walks away. So I go back and press the button again and eventually 7 minutes later I catch another employee that is helping another guest. I wait for them to finish and then ask for help, which he obliges. We go to the case and I ask if he can check if they have the router in the back. He says, and I quote, "Uh, no. We can't look that up." So I ask if he can at least tell me which store does and he replies, "uh, no. We can't look anything up because of COVID". What?!?? After 36 minutes I leave with no router, and no idea what Walmarts have it in stock. Why do I EVEN TRY with this stupid company and its employees who either A. Can't use basic communication skills or B. Just don't give a f***? To top it off, I get outside and there is a shopping cart on my back bumper and it left a scratch. read more

This Walmart is the closet one to my house so I'm here often. It's open 24/7, who doesn't love that?! The produce department needs to be kept-up with more. It lacks a full stock such as fruit and vegetables. It can also get quite dirty and messy in produce throughout the day. Sanitation needs to be more efficient. All departments need better stock organization. Like most Walmarts, 80 percent of the employees are rude, not happy, and not welcoming. They are highly understaffed. I once waited 30 minutes for someone to assist me in the electronics department. RIDICULOUS! I told the manager where to stick their electronics after that episode, sorry dude. I mean overall, the store usually has what you're looking for (except vanilla bean, err)! And let me also give a huge shout-out to Louise in customer service who is such a sweet lady and had everyone looking for vanilla bean for me. We need more people like you! Some associates are memorable and super nice especially like that guy who looks like Santa Claus who greets you as you come and go into the store. Big snowstorm on Friday, 1/12/24. All day was horrible for driving, shopping, etc. So when a lull came in and snow had stopped, I went out at about 7:00pm to fill up my gas tank and grab last minute groceries before Saturdays whollop hit. It was actually quite calm and mild! Do you know there when I went in, there was not ONE SINGLE CART in the entrance?! Not one. The weather was comfortable enough that they could gotten out and started rounding up carts before the rest of the snow, wind and cold came back in. But no. Not one single cart. Needless to say, I grabbed only what my arms could hold and went to checkout #23, where a less-than-interested young man didn't even reply when I greeted him. He proceeded to sling my bags to the top of the carousel and hand my change to me in one handful, not counted back to me. Just ... HERE. I don't know how this store stays in business when this is not my only bad experience I've had there and certainly not the worst. Never buy electronics from Walmart in Aurora IL (Kirk Road and 75th/Rt.59) !! In the last 2 years i have bought a TV and Fitbit in 2019. Exactly 2 years to the date both times stopped working. When I went to the store to return my Fitbit with the receipt and warranty it was not honored because it was 2 months over. This is no coincidence!! Their electronic products are not worth the money. Stopped by in semi truck and purchased $121.37 worth of groceries. No problem inside, pretty typical Walmart and being a truck driver that runs Wal-mart dedicated to store, I would estimate I have been to over 300 stores. My problem came when I was out in the parking lot a few minutes after checkout putting my food away in truck. I was approached by a wal-mart employee and asked to leave immediately. Now in their defense, there was a brand new sign posted that said "no semi parking" and had a tow truck company. I was parked in an empty side lot and this was 11 at night. They had no shortage of parking. I had no intention of parking there overnight but I have been forced to park at this wal-mart over night a few times. I'm not complaining and I don't need sympathy, I work a job like everyone else. But I do not control most of the times and locations where I am, and I am subject to extensive federal, state, and local regulations I must comply with. That being said, the closest truckstop or travel plaza is 40 minutes south. There will not be any parking at any truck stop or service plaza in northern Illinois after 7:30 on a week night. Yet millions of people live here and trucks come in all hours to deliver the products needed. If it is not my truck and trailer, it will be another because you as a customer demand and pay for it. But do you really want these trucks breaking laws and driving tired/fatigued because there is no where to park? You and your family are out there. I take your safety just as seriously as I take my own and I don't drive tired. I hope someone at Wal-mart reads this. I think if you read "Sam Walton: Made in America," You would find Mr. Walton wouldn't think very highly of how you are treating drivers. I'm not sure what the problem is. Trash? Yes, some inconsiderate drivers will throw out trash just like any of your other patrons. Drugs and or prostitution? This is a myth, truck drivers are regularly drug tested and the Truckers against Trafficking probably help break up more rings and get more victims home than anyone. Lot repair? That lot is already cracked, more trucks will not make it worse. The pressure on every square inch of asphalt is less than passenger cars. Noise and pollution? You have refrigeration units outside, lights humming, customers playing stereo. I don't think a truck is contributing much more. Maybe the problem is a manager is on a power trip and wants to feel important telling employees to run off trucks? Remember to treat other people with the respect you want to be treated. read more

So annoyed! Went to Walmart tonight at 8pm on November 16th to purchase a shelf. The box looked like it was previously opened and returned for whatever reason. There were only three boxes and all looked exactly the same. They all look the same so I just pick up which ever one has the least amount of physical damage on the outside. I go to check out and I spend a total of $110 total... Whatever! It's all what I need for this shelf I'm going to build! No big deal! Now I'm no handy man, so it takes me 45 minutes to build a simple 5 piece shelf. Get aaaallll the way to the top and realize that I'm missing two screws. Really!? I'm thinking I may have dropped them or something since I notice a small hole at the bottom of the box. Maybe they fell out on the ground or something. So I decided to retrace my steps. Go out of my apartment... Nothing.... GO OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN!.... Nothing. At this point I'm very irritated. So I call Walmart. I speak to a manager who states there isn't a lot he can do. He did advised me that I didn't have to come back tonight (which I wasn't), and that they will happily exchange it for me. He also suggested to have someone at Walmart build the new one I'd purchase together, which is fine! Accept I still would have to disassembled the one I had put together that took 45 minutes and drive up there for this new one. Not to mention the fact it's now my time being wasted. Also since the box was already opened, I was sitting down for half the time trying to match the pieces up since they weren't in their original packaging! Overall I'm very annoyed! If I do have to go to Walmart...this is the location I choose (although I live considerably closer to the Route 59 location). Here's why: 1. They have a great grocery section here (compared to Rt 59). I love to purchase the individually packaged tilapia and salmon. Also the produce section has the individually wrapped, microwaveable sweet pototaoes which I am a huge fan of. And all in all I usually find all the groceries I need at very reasonable prices. The grocery section here is also much bigger than on Rt 59. 2. They have way better clothes than any other Walmart I've been too. Especially the young women's clothing section. I buy many a shirts here that no one would ever guess came from Walmart! 3. The store is fairly clean. 4. The biker looking greeter guy at the door - he's great and always gives my daughter a sticker! He makes my day every time I see him. Now here are some reasons why you may want to stay away: 1. It will take you FOREVER to check out. The checkout lines are always super long and although it seems like they have tons of staff - they are def not checking out. Also, a majority of the cashiers are super ghetto and rude - I can't stand rude people. So make sure to go when you have lots of time and patience. 2. The parking lot is terrible. Never a good spot. Carts everywhere. Pedestrians not paying attention. Every time I'm in this parking lot I feel like I'm going to get into a car accident, ugh! To avoid the craziness I end up just parking far away or over by the pharmacy drive thur (crap I just gave away my secret lol). 3. There seems to be an issue with the lighting system. The lights constantly dim and then get brighter. It's really annoying at first, but after a few times of visiting you get used to it I guess. All in all - this is an OK location - but hand's down better than the chaotic, crowded, crazy, hot mess of a Walmart on Rt 59. read more
