Nothing new to say. If they run out of a product the no capacity employee will fill the hole with whatever is available. Then the AI will think it's not sold often or not at all and then stop ordering it.... 98% of my entrees have elephant garlic... I don't really cook without it so when they are out of stock I don't cook and we eat whatever is easy. Too many employees filling online orders making moving around the store very difficult, not to mention the first of the month. I see people with cart trains two and three carts OVERFLOWING with stuff. I can spend $100 two meals or so, only filling the seat portion with a frozen pizza in the cart... I was here a few nights ago to buy something for my computer. I checked online and it said they had the item in stock. There was no one at the electronics counter for 20 mins around 8PM. My husband walked around and found no one. A lady with braids finally walked up to the counter and stood there looking at me waiting for me to speak. I kindly ask her for help finding it because I didn't see it in the aisle it's supposed to be. In her exact words "if it ain't there we don't have it" with an ATTITUDE. This is clearly not the job for you if you're going to talk to customers like that. read more

I will not be shopping at this store ever again. There are empty shelves so you would do better by ordering on line for your necessities. I asked 2 different employees for a price check and they begrudgingly looked up the items. This was in produce. The clerk was talking to someone other than me thru her earbuds while checking me out. I felt this was exceptionally rude. This all happened on a Sunday morning before noon so One would expect the employees are just starting their work day. People are helpful sometimes, but the employees that have the big carts to fill pick up orders, have earbuds in and will run you over and not even say excuse me. I told a white girl that had blond in her hair to watch where she was going because she went right in front of me when I was shopping. She didn't acknowledge my presence and didn't even say anything. She was just looking forward and pushing her cart fast. I could have easily been injured by your actions of your employee. She was rude. You don't even deserve a star at all. Walmart on Epps Br. Pkwy. In Athens Ga, has the WORST customer service in the history of retailing. I went in there today 5/7/24. I had a $15 return and planned on purchasing $120 worth of grocery's.There was a flat barricade across customer service with a small shopping cart width opening. I went through it and the lady said I'm sorry customer service is closed today for maintenance. I said excuse me you can't return anything today? I called Walmart Corporate from the store. They asked to speak with a Manager, the cashier pointed one out and he refused to talk with them. Corporate called the store and this middle Manager for the call. He gave me attitude and he got it back. Corporate agreed he was unprofessional. All told nothing will happen. If there were an alternative to Walmart I would certainly use it.They are so big they just don't care. read more

I've recently moved to Athens and was happy to be near a Walmart because my previous town doesn't have one. I have been SO unimpressed. The employees are allowed to wear earbuds and carry on conversations while they're on the sales floor!! What type of business model is this?? I placed a pickup order of 2 items. I was notified that my order was ready so I let them know I was on my way and proceeded to Walmart and checked in. several cars came after I and they were helped right away and off they drove, so I asked somebody about my order and they told me that my order had to be re-picked from across the store. To me that means they gave my order to somebody else, so they told me to drive over by the delivery door. Twelve minutes into my wait I'm notified that my order was picked up, which was not true. So I stopped one of the delivery people and asked again about my order, and he said that my order was killing their wait time so they marked it as picked up, and that one of his coworkers had to walk across the store to re-gather my items. Well, who's fault is that? They think nothing of my wait time!!!!! 21 minutes it took to bring me two items. And again, the employees were on their cellphones. I guess I'll return to shopping elsewhere. read more

This was Walmart online delivery service is poor, every time I place a order they either cannot find my place or leave my order at others people's door & they can't deliver my order on time & the drivers never contacts me when it specifically says it on my order so the order is the returned to the store and I have to wait until the next day too receive my order, this happened on more than several occasions read more

I wish there was a zero star option! Because not good is an understatement. I placed a home delivery grocery order. I received a text that my shopper started picking my order. The shopper RENALDO, (probably not his actual name) was incompetent at best. Every few seconds i would get a text saying something was out of stock. So i used the chat with your shopper button and he completely ignored me. (I later found out he doesnt speak English) anyway...i got a text saying he was on his way and it had the option to track the driver. I live in the country so the maps on different apps are sometimes wrong and i noticed that this one showed my home on the opposite side of the road in a field. I walked to the end of the driveway and the driver passed my home, drove to the next road, turned around and came back to my driveway....which i was standing in. He then backed out and headed back to Athens and i got a text saying that my order was undeliverable. I immediately called that Department, they said i could not chat with the driver unless it was an express order....LIE, they said they would get another driver and send the order back out...LIE. I called back and talked to the manager of delivery and she gave me more run around. She actually said it was a third party delivery service and walmart was not responsible!!! This is also a lie, i looked into it and the third party delivery service was owned by.....WALMART! I called back and asked for a store manager, guess where they transferred me....THE GROCERY DELIVERY. by this time shifts had changed and it was at least someone who was courteous. She was not combative like the others i had talked to. She of course couldn't help me but she did at least listen and give me decent customer service. I will NEVER make that mistake again. i have never had trouble with walmart shipping so i will just use that option and get my groceries the old fashioned way. read more

My experience at this Walmart with customer has been horrible. While customers were checking out groceries I was trying to run in and grab one item at the back of the store but I was followed and cursed at and actually threatened that the police would be called if I did go to the front of the store and exit because they were closing soon. Another employee was cursing me and another lady. Management response was non-existent until that other customer came forward and also complained. So I started ordering my groceries online and paid for over a year the delivery fee and tipped well. I paid a yearly fee and joined a Walmart last month to avoid the delivery fee. For over a year I've been able to order groceries and had the option to have them delivered within few hours. The sooner the delivery the higher the delivery fee though. Now that I've paid my yearly premium with a discount I made to wait over 24 hours to have them delivered. I'm suppose to be a vip customer but no they have my money up front and I'm put in the back burner so I suggest anyone considering becoming a Walmart + customer save your money and pay monthly or go elsewhere. read more

I try to go to Walmart early (before 10 a.m.) to avoid crowds but the problem I always encounter is that they NEVER have enough cashiers open. This past week, they had two opened and both were slow and backed up. Meanwhile, we are right in front of Customer Service and there are 3-4 employees over there shucking and jiving, in other words, seeing the problem and doing nothing. I think the manager needs to know this. You won't increase sales and customer satisfaction if you don't have enough cashiers open. In addition, the so-called greeters need to disentangle the baskets before we enter. It often takes me minutes to disentangle a basket from the others before I can shop. These are things these so-called greeters could be doing when they are standing idle. Come on now, managers, let's see some improvements! Thank you. read more

It is wrong for Walmart to have more than 20 self check out stations and 4 regular check outs and from those 4 they are all closed What happened with all the employees that worked at the regular check outs? The worst experience ever. The store is dirty the employees are no help what so ever and the lady that was in customer service is angry and in a terrible mood. There were very little associates around d the store and only two registers open. Prior to 9pm the one lady turned off her light but still have twenty people in line. Last few months they are running out of so many things frequently. I tried to complain but they got same copy cat answers & blame game. I had to run to Kroger/Trader's Joe to get remaining items so many times. Someone needs more training or help in reordering & restocking. They are changing locations of Iteams frequently so other buyers & even employees are confused about it too. Items like ... sugar, Idaho potato, frozen corn, breads, vegetables, chocolates, canned beans, cilantro, tofu, & so many more to list. We have started to go to cross a street for our needs & they have 'Order Your Groceries Online and Pick Up At Store same day' which fits mt daughter's busy schedule. They are getting competitive in pricing too. WALMART, fix it ASAP or loose business. read more

I will drive further to Walmart on Lexington because I will never shop at this Walmart again. I don't have a problem at all showing receipt at door as it is normal procedure at Sam's and Costco, however this afternoon a man basically acted as though I was shoplifting my dog food and protein shakes not in a bag. He had one arm in a sling, so he was annoyed that my receipt was somewhat wrinkled as I had already stuck it in my purse. He was huffing and showing me how irritated he was as he proceeds to "straighten" the receipt so he can go over everything with a fine tooth comb. If he had shown a different demeanor I wouldn't have felt so insulted. Plenty of stores to shop at that won't treat me like I'm a criminal! read more

It's a Walmart, right? What is there to review? Well, this Walmart has one very important and unique characteristic: they have a very large section of UGA gear near the cash registers for half the price of what you might find in the on-campus bookstore. Yes, I'm aware there's probably a joke in there somewhere about Georgia fans shopping at Walmart, but I think it's just smart to save a few bucks when I need a new Georgia t-shirt, bumper sticker, or license plate cover. They also have plenty of non-traditional UGA merchandise, such as the most comfortable "power G" pajama pants ever and Vineyard Vines knock-off headbands. The rest of it is a typical Walmart -crowded, dirty, excellent people watching, etc. But it's easily accessible location off of 316 when leaving Athens and the excellent selection of UGA gear are what you should go for. read more

At Wal-Mart on Epps Bridge I was lied to by an employee. I asked the guy to give me something to wipe the buggy.I was told by this little unconcerned guy that they we're cleaned but as I was leaving the store I made a special trip to the area where they were pushing the carts in just to see if they we're cleaning them. As Currancy was training Amanda she was speaking bad about what customers do and don't do that could help them as a cashier from breaking their backs etc. As Currancy continued to ring my items up she was speaking to Amanda while training her complaining about using my recyclable bags and rolling her eyes. The whole time Currany was just complaing obviously not liking her job Why would you even have someone who does not care about the meaning of customer service be training someone else. I had just spent $178. on groceries and had to hear your cashier complain all about customers while ringing me up. I can go back to Kroger or Publix where they have Great customer service read more

The customer service at this Walmart in certain departments is terrible. They keep their perfumes and body sprays locked behind a glass door, but good luck trying to find someone to open it for you. I literally waited almost 30 minutes for someone to show up after asking several employees multiple times. No one seemed to care too much to make sure someone was going to actually come unlock the door. I wasn't the only one waiting either, as there was another couple who was waiting just as long and also went to go find and ask employees a couple of times. I left once to go ask the lady overlooking the self checkout stations, and once again, she said she'd have someone come back but they never did. I even called the store while standing in the perfume aisle and explained that I had been waiting for 20 minutes at that point for someone to come with a key after asking multiple people multiple times and that I was currently there now with other people still waiting. Did that work? Nope. It was the most ridiculous and necessary experience. I had a similar customer service experience with a price check on an other item not too long after, where an employee had to radio call a manager three times before someone came. The person who finally showed up was just standing around and talking to other employees before deciding to do her job. Shopping at this Walmart is almost like an necessary evil. read more

This WalMart is disgusting. The employees are all just standing around staring at you and chit chatting with each other. All the shopping carts are wobbly and hard to use; thats if you can even get one! Floors are dirty, spills everywhere, flies in the deli areas and on the fruits and vegetables. Looks like a tornado hit their shelves stuff knocked over on the floors causing trip hazards and just left like its normal. Door greeter is rude when I thought their job was to greet people. They just stand in your way like youre not allowed to come in and theyre always clueless on where you can get any sanitary whipes to clean your cart before you use it. The bathrooms are usually out of order and smell like urine all the time. The LINES ARE HORRIBLE!!!! Even if you go through self-checkout to try and avoid them, there are HUGE LINES at the self-checkouts. Barely any registers open and if youve been standing 20 minutes in line for one, a cashier will turn their light off on you even though they know you've been waiting patiently to check out and just tell you theyre closed now and you have to go to a different one. Very rude when youre trying to give them money. THEN when you leave; you get stopped like you stole everything you just bought!!!! I heard they do this because of EMPLOYEE thefts; IM A CUSTOMER AND I JUST PAID; YOU SAT THERE AND WATCHED ME GO THROUGH THE 20 MINUTE LINE. Its like they really dont care here. How is this WalMart still open I have no idea; I guess it doesnt matter as long as they make a buck right? Auto Dept is HORRIBLE! Terrible service. Plan on spending 4 hours with disgruntled, bad attitude workers. They don't even hide their dislike for their job and they seem to move slow on purpose. The Epps Bridge Wal-Mart in Athens, Ga is great... The sales people are very helpful and go the extra mile to take you to the product you are looking for. I had my car oil changed here and it was not a good experience. The wait time was MUCH longer than they told me. They didn't even bother to screw on the cap to the oil correctly and had cross threaded it. When I asked if my car was ready after waiting over an hour beyond wait time, they said they were waiting on the supervisor to check the car.
