I've honestly never dealt with such rude and unprofessional behavior at Target before. The employee "helping us" was Taliah or however you spell it. She was incredibly disrespectful from the start. We needed help at checkout because our items had security tags, and there was no one available. The only employee around was standing by the returns area doing nothing but talking with co workers. When my girlfriend went up to ask for help, Taliah immediately had an attitude. When my girlfriend turned her back and walked away, Taliah made a comment under her breath, and shook her head like we were inconveniencing her just for asking for assistance. Then we were left standing there for about seven minutes while she continued doing whatever she was doing. When she finally came over, she acted like helping us was a burden. No apology, no urgency, just a rude, dismissive attitude the entire time. If you don't want to help customers, you shouldn't be working in customer service. This was a terrible experience, and if I was looking for an employee to not hire and promote it would be her. read more

Target has sure gone down hill. I thought we were at a Walmart when we drove in. The parking lot was filled with trash and the carts were all over the parking lot. We brought one in because we were unsure if any were left in the store. The inside wasn't much better. The shelves were not stocked, there was trash all over the floors and in the shelves. The whole place was a mess. Lots of people waking around but didn't Seam to have any idea on what they were suppose to do. I think just avoiding work. If there was a manager I'm sure not one that was out and about to check on the staff or the customers or even if things were being kept up and stocked. Maybe they had the day off. My wife who loves target for some reason (prices and cleanliness) even said this is the worst she has ever seen it and it is never very organized. Maybe it's time for some training of what's expected of the employees and a few new managers to step in. It is a mess and getting worse. read more

Took my elderly mother in to Target to get help with her Consumer Cellular flip phone and was impressed with Matthew, the CC rep. She has replaced her CC phone 3 or 4 times over the last year and I assumed they were just crappy cheap burner phones. But for the first time, she actually received some clear advice about how to set favorites up and Matthew was patient and kind. He had her up and running in 12 minutes instead of just selling her yet another phone like the previous clerks did. Thanks for respecting the older customers. read more

Disappointed in my first visit in a long time at this location. Location, parking, facility cleanliness, employee helpfulness, and most departments (including kitchen utensils and pharmacy where we shopped) were ok --but the women's clothing merchandise selection and quality was surprisingly so much less than I had come to expect in the past. Colors were often very garish or unattractive, and construction was not great. So, I know this may be called just a matter of taste, but I have also seen comments with similar opinions online about this. The rest of the store was similar to past experiences and would get a solid 4 star rating, but I felt this was a glaring change so I'm giving the store only 2 stars. The local stores probably have no say in what they are sent, but if enough people feel the same way, maybe the buyers will notice. I have shopped in Target stores in places as far away as Hawaii, and their selections in women's casual wear were better in color and construction. I don't expect designer fashion, just quality fabrics, and well made garments. Imho -Athens deserves better. I went online to their survey to give feedback and give positive information about their employees-and I was cut off before I could give an evaluation at all, after I clicked that I did not wish for them to contact me . Deceitful - Electronics department area supervisor her name starts with "S"- At 3065 Atlanta Highway, Athens GA Target Store. Why Target is hiring such an unethical area supervisor or a manager who are conveniently cheating customers and lie to customers for their personal benefits? I went for shopping at Target early morning in at store opening time , when store was very slow , very few customers were there mainly near Starbucks and I saw there was a very good deal on LG 75" TV it was on sale, sale price was $299. Actual cost of TV was around $969.99, which was a great deal so I have decided to buy that TV instantly, I called one lady to get me that TV because it was on display I was not able to take by myself. Instead of helping me with that TV she send her area supervisor name starts with "S", She refused to give me that TV and said someone is buying this TV, she was lying because I was there for more than 20 minus and no one was there to purchase, I said it is not sold yet and no one is here to buy that TV , I am willing to buy right now by paying upfront , She didn't responded & just walked away, that was so rude & insulting experience I ever had. Matter of fact no one was there personally to buy TV and TV was unsold, other red hair sales girl was there , she gave me hint & said "you can talk to manager, she didn't want to make any more comment on that TV, she decided to just stay out of it". I assumed area supervisor might have hold that TV for her family or friend, so I met manager in- charge at self-check out area , explained it to him but apathetically he refused to help me in a very discourteous manner, He didn't even moved from his area or didn't offered me any assistance. This Target always has what I need and is my go-to place when I want to do some decorating, re-organizing, or just get some clothes. It's always very clean and the service is great. I can always find what I need in multiple options from cheap to designer. Although I haven't gotten to know the staff, I feel like I know them because there are always the same people working every time I go in. Low turnover is a good sign. read more

There are VERY limited colors, styles, and sizes in the women's Merona section as well as the womens's athletic apparel section. I visited your Athens store location today around 5:00pm with my daughter and I must say, I will no visit this location again. We walked through this store, picked up our items, and headed for the check out lines as I've done so many time visiting other locations. I stopped at line 11 which was the first line as I entered as awaited the cashier assisting other guest. It appeared the customer was purchasing a shelving unit with accessories bins to go inside. My daughter and I both laughed as we stood in line as both workers appeared to have been Chick Fil A workers and we noted how hungry we were. I made sure we moved up in line as to not block other guest from checking out with their purchases. My daughter decided she was going to get Starbucks and we decided to meet in several minutes since the person directly in front of us only had two or three items. After another three to four minutes, the cashier yelled that he was closed after the customer directly in front of me. I looked at him in disbelief as I had not just joined the line, I was already there. I told him it was very rude and the least he could do it ring my purchase however he would not give me any contact. I left out of the line and noticed a young lady that appeared to have been directing traffic. I asked her if she was a supervisor or manager. She advised me that she was and asked me how she could assist. I shared with her that I was just in another line and the actions of me being kicked out was very rude. She agreed and walked over to the line to confront the worker. While placing my items on the counter, I noticed there was a smirk from the cashier and it didn't seem to be much of a serious matter. After the supervisor arrived back in the aisle I was now in, she offered an apology and gave me a $10 gift card for my inconvenience. I asked her if she could share with me her name as well as the young guy's name to write in with my displeasure in his actions. She obliged and shared her first name (Estefania C.) and the cashiers first name (Thomas). In light of the current mood in our country with civil unrest as well as all other social injustices we're dealing with, I want to believe you have trained your front line workers on how to effectively handle situations with long lines, closing lines, difficult customers (of which I never was) , and other situations that occur daily. There's been some white girl who is skinny who has been constantly rude I believe she is at least 5'8" -5'9" short black or brown hair. Whenever I run into the store she seems to always just be standing doing nothing and when someone has a question - unless they are white - she will be extremely rude. She has been working at this Athens target for years and some other manager named Josh is also a dick and doesn't know target rules when it comes to merchandise and Denys helping with looking for something in store. I have also noticed over the years that this target only hires white people beside truck workers. You can tell they cater to only have a white face here and I have had many minority friends try and apply here but 100% have been rejected. People with COLLEGE degrees. Somehow the majority of the ones working are white highschoolers? From what I heard from Ex employees is that the store is and has always been very disorganized as well. Maybe try hiring people with less attitude and kids who's parents give them BMWs to show up to work in? Selection is typical of that of any Target store, so one of the pluses is basically built-in. Also fairly clean restrooms and the like. But I'm here to tell you about a cool experience I had with one of their employees, Joyce. My boyfriend, his mom, and myself had one hell of a hectic day leading up to our final stop, Target, to get a few loose-end things to help furnish his new apartment. Time: ~10:30pm, store closes at 11. I try and avoid going to businesses near their closing times, however we had some shit luck finding many things and just wanted to get some stuff we needed before we crashed and tried to forget about a C- grade day. I suggest we split up to get what we knew we needed and pop out, so I go about my way just to pick up some poster frames, which took a few to find but when I found them and was looking through for the right size, one of the employees, seemingly older with long gray hair and a large scowl on her face, stops near me at the end of the aisle and grumbleyells, "THE REGISTERS ARE CLOSING." Taken aback from such strange aggression, through my strained processing of the situation all my mind could muster in response was, "Ok?" She continued to stare at me for another 5 seconds before walking off angrily, muttering into the radio in her hand, "I'm calling security." Was it 11:15 or something and I hadn't realized such a time elapse? Check time, 10:55pm.. Definitely cutting it close but not to justify that interaction, if you want to close earlier, change your store hours. Get up to the registers with now added anxiety that security will, in fact, add to my problems from the day.. lovely feeling! Two registers open with quite lengthy lines that I had to wait an extra ~10mins or so to checkout anyway. Alllllrriiiiightyyy then. First time I have ever considered filing a complaint about an employee to corporate, but I figured I'd give her the benefit of the doubt of having a bad day herself, or perhaps.. a bad life. Now I avoid this store like the plague ever since and really only go if someone else is already, in which case I'm on my guard for Joyce, the Target Tyrant. read more

Been to this Target a few times over the years whenever I've been in town. It's ok as far as Targets go, except it always seemed a bit disorganized. It wasn't until my mother-in-law slipped and fell on some wax residue left on the floor (no signs posted) and they basically treated her like a criminal & offered no help whatsoever. I like this location but customer service and the photo is the worse. I always have to stand for a long time and call while I am standing at the photo center for someone to come help assist me to get my pictures. Someone is usually at customer service desk but they seem to have a problem acknowledging customers at that area to help in assisting them. It's an ok location though it doesn't have everything that some Targets have, usually a medium level of cleanliness.

I love this store for many reasons and one of them is because of the good quality clothes, food, and just everything. Sometimes the clothes can be pretty pricey but it's worth it. I always get my bathing suits from there. And they last all season! Plus they have amazing gifts for birthdays and such. read more

There is a woman there who made a very big difference in our shopping experience. She calls herself the sticker fairy. She spoke to my normally shy daughter and gave her some stickers, my daughter LOVED her!! I enjoy people who make a difference in the day to day grocery run. She was very funny and sweet.
