She was incredibly disrespectful from the start. We needed help at checkout because our items had security tags, and there was no one available. The only employee around was standing by the returns area doing nothing but talking with co workers. When my girlfriend went up to ask for help, Taliah immediately had an attitude. When my girlfriend turned her back and walked away, Taliah made a comment under her breath, and shook her head like we were inconveniencing her just for asking for assistance. Then we were left standing there for about seven minutes while she continued doing whatever she was doing. When she finally came over, she acted like helping us was a burden. No apology, no urgency, just a rude, dismissive attitude the entire time. If you don't want to help customers, you shouldn't be working in customer service. This was a terrible experience, and if I was looking for an employee to not hire and promote it would be her.

We brought one in because we were unsure if any were left in the store. The inside wasn't much better. The shelves were not stocked, there was trash all over the floors and in the shelves. The whole place was a mess. Lots of people waking around but didn't Seam to have any idea on what they were suppose to do. I think just avoiding work. If there was a manager I'm sure not one that was out and about to check on the staff or the customers or even if things were being kept up and stocked. Maybe they had the day off. My wife who loves target for some reason (prices and cleanliness) even said this is the worst she has ever seen it and it is never very organized. Maybe it's time for some training of what's expected of the employees and a few new managers to step in. It is a mess and getting worse.

Target has some clothing but it has positioned itself as a multiple personality building by including with its home furnishings a grocery store and pharmacy, too. I can't understand why we people in a city the size of Athens still have to drive to Atlanta to shop at other national brand department stores, so it's good that Belks has stayed here. This Belk store has several of the popular and quality brands in SOME of its departments -but it seems to be more like an outlet store for Belks in the women's clothing departments -with lots of crowded sales racks. The sales personnel are polite and friendly in all departments, and most are very experienced. If you find something you like, but not the right size or color -they will check online and help you order what you need & have it sent to your home. There is lots of free parking space, some of it is in the shade. The store is clean and generally well maintained. Returns are very easy. This store anchors the almost-deserted mall that keeps being promised to improve. Athens has been waiting for someone to return this mall to the busy, popular, profitable place it once was. I see people with cart trains two and three carts OVERFLOWING with stuff. I can spend $100 two meals or so, only filling the seat portion with a frozen pizza in the cart... Those cart trains must be thousands...
