Today was a good day! No wait on line or chaos! This is one of my fave Walmarts bc it has a wide variety of merch & it's always clean.

They have everything I need when I need it. Prices are great and they always have what I need. Love Walmart.

For two days I couldn't contact anyone at this Walmart. Calling the customer service desk, No one answers the phone. I even chose the option for Human Resources, Still, no one answered, time and time again. Finally, chose the garden center and they directed my call to customer service, whom answered after 5 minutes. I was inquiring about a set of keys that may have been left in the store or in a shopping cart, Customer Service said none were found. If they should find them she said I'll have to just keep calling back to check. WOW. Poor customer service on every level. read more

Today is a five star day. I came in to make a quick purchase. The purchase did not work out so I had to return the device. All in all it was a pleasant & speedy experience. However, when I went back to Walmart to make my return - my hat fell off my head. I looked around, could not find it. I called the store and Katrice picked up the phone. I explained to her that it was not a hat from Walmart and it belonged it me. She was rather kind & patience as she tried to calm my panic mode. She actually said she was going to ask around about it. I'd say about five minutes later Katrice and I spoke again - where she conveyed the delightful news to me that my hat was at the service desk. Due to this experience I will make a point to shop here when in the area. Thank you kindly Katrice & whomever found my hat. It's a #hatapproved day!!!!! read more

Worst customer service EVER. I literally walked up to three employees in the electronics department to ask a question, one of them made eye contact with me then went back to looking at her cellphone, and the three of them stood around talking story while I stood there for 3 minutes before I just gave up and walked away. Then I went back to the pick up area where three employees were walking out of the back. I asked them to see if there was more of a yarn I was looking at in the back, the first one said "that's the fabric department " and kept walking, even while I said there was nobody over there. Then the only one who didn't act like I was a giant pain in the ass for being a customer who wanted to buy something told the third one to scan it to see if there was any more. There's a reason I don't normally shop at Walmart. Employees like that are one of those reasons. read more

Online shoppers BEWARE! I have placed 2 Walmart orders in the past 3 weeks. In both cases, I got notifications from WM with tracking numbers that the orders had shipped. I also got notifications that the orders were delivered. PROBLEM! In both cases I received empty envelopes with the tracking number for the item ordered on the empty envelope. It appears that Walmart does NOT vet their MARKETPLACE Vendors & from my online chats, it appears that they really don't care. So as I told them, as soon as I get the second refund, I will be closing my online account. There comes a point when it is just STUPID to continue to order from the company & get an empty envelope from the scammer with the tracking number for the merchandise ordered & supposedly sent & delivered. And they DON'T seem to CARE. I would STAY AWAY! As soon as I get the refund I am closing my account. Not worth the hassle! read more

No wonder I shop at target and not this dump. Arrived at 7:45 but was informed the returns desk closed at 7 despite listed as being open til 8, staff absolutely refused to return my item despite it being a seasonal item which was only purchased the night before. Well I was there today Saturday 06/07/2020. Almost everyone wearing a mask I noticed 5-6 customers. No body said a thing to them but most of all I saw 5 Walmart employees not wearing mask did not even have them on there neck. I had to walk around them and there are no markings on what way to walk the town should do spot checks and fine them. Will never go again and the management should be fired. read more

If it was possible to get negative stars, I would. Customer service is nonexistent. This isn't a hard job and either is answering phones. You need to clean out all of those that do not have a personable bone in their body and hire others. Then have multiple phone that employees can answer so customers can talk to them. I spent over 2 minutes for an associate to answer the phone, over 6 minutes waiting and listing to the ring for layaway to answer and thought someone picked up the phone to talk to me..nope! Put me on music hold another 2 minutes there. I hung up to call back waiting for an associate to answer for over 3 minutes. Terrible! read more

Went into the store to get a car key copied. An older woman, we will call her Miss Sunshine, comes walking over looking about as thrilled as a fish out of water. I tell her I need a key copied. She used every excuse in the book in attempt to get out of cutting my key. I realized that she was just lazy and did not want to cut the key when her excuses started contradicting themselves. After trying to convince her to cut the key for me a couple of times, I got fed up and walked away. Her attitude alone will keep me from coming back. read more

What can I say - it's Wal-Mart. It is not the finest example of this common store, but it is reasonably clean and well-maintained. Most of the staff are long-term, indicating that this place must be better to their workers than most. Selection is decent, and the new refrigerated food section is quite nice. Overall, a reasonable choice if you're in Shelton. But certainly not worth going out of your way for. read more

Yes Walmart is cheap to shop and this one is no different. However the difference of this walmart and others is that this Walmart had no concern with the customer satisfaction. they actually believe they are doing you a favor. Walmart has peaked and now they are like what KMart was before Big K took a fall. The lines to check out are horrid and Walmart has dropped quality as a requirement which you will notice if you buy a Visio product. Take the time go to a dollar store or a target. read more

Came here with a friend not long ago and there was so much trash in the parking lot it turned us off and we left. This review is for vision center at Shelton location. I have had my numerous glasses made with Walmart vision. They have many standard benefits, good price. I turned 50 and eyesight started turn weird. Perfectly checked eye sight but felt dizzy when glasses made according to the new prescription. So I had to dig out older glasses to wear. One day I brought two pairs of my glasses to this vision center and explained want to get a reading see how much of a change can avoid the dizziness. I also gave her the pair I was wearing. After I replied two emails, she came out dangling with my glasses said, "these two are much stronger than this one". "How much?" "In 6s" ."what about this one?" "This is not ours." "It is not?", "it is weaker", "how much?" "in 5s", "how much?", "maybe 550". Earlier I explained my vision is changing. And now she said, "go to your doctor, get a new prescription, we can use your old frames." Then I had to ask to return my two walmart glass cases. When I set to come there, I was planning on getting a transition and a thinner lens, by the reading from this "non-dizzy" old pair. Now with this pulling tooth experience just for the first step, I decided better not to do it here, if she can't do the simple things. The lady in Stratford Walmart vision center is very detailed, very pleasant and go extra miles to get the glasses fit right last time. I will drive 30 min more to go to her again. read more

Just moved to the area because of work. Greeter was a very nice old lady who said hello and goodbye. While I was shopping the intercom was going off every 5 minutes warning customers that they were closing. I didn't mind the fact that that was going off. I knew workers wanted to go home after a long day or even a part time position there (having to deal with civid-19 and everything) The reason for the rating however, are for the words that were coming out of this woman, that's probably in her mid 40s. As every costumer was walking out, she went on saying "you people are seriously still here when you know we are close. What is your problem? I don't work for you." It's things like this that are so stupid coming out of workers. Costumer service is your job title!!That means you serve the customers, so yeah you kind of do. I've worked in that field before, for 10 years (server, representative, receptionist) I don't care if it's past that time that you're suppose to leave. You are there to work to help the costumers, to help the business. NOT push them out the door. If you can't do your job, don't work. It's that simple. If you are an online shopper like I am you not only save the hassles, but you can also pick-up at the store, especially groceries. I'm spoiled because I used to live near a Walmart that had a full produce section and this Walmart is barely adequate. This is about the Walmart Shelton store. I would give it a minus star if I could! I went there Aug. 6,2018, Bought a ny=umber of items. One was Seafoam motor additive. The can had an oily residue on it. Probably from another can in the case that was leaking. All the cans on the shelf were in this condition. No big deal. The cashier put everything in one bag,ever a few candy items. I looked into the bag and she said "what are you looking for" I told her the Seafoam can and said it was wet. Before I could even finish my sentence she took it out of the bag and said "it's not leaking". I then told her it was wet because one of the cans in the case was probably leaking and I wanted it in a separate bag. She pointed to the bags and said "there you go". I asked her to put it in the bag,which she did. I remarked "was that to hard to do?". She said "have a good day" I replied you too and left. I'm an older white man. Is that the reason I was treated that way? That store has a huge problem with some of their cashiers. They act as if they are doing me a favor for letting me shop there. I will no longer go there to shop. I do need to use the pharmacy though for my prescription I need to be filled right away. I will go to Target for everything else. This store yet again has a new manager. The store is completely cluttered and turning into a death-trap. Crates and boxes piled up throughout the store with areas you can barely get through. The Shelton location has turned into a nightmare. No one from management will talk with you. If you call and ask to speak to the manager, you are always given an excuse and transferred until you hang up. I find myself going to Target more often now. Target is clean, the people are friendly and the prices are basically the same. With the amount of money that Walmart makes, how is it they cannot afford at least a semi-intelligent store manager? read more

Yelp will probably hide this review as they've recently done when I've given negative feedback on a restaurant, It seems that Yelp works only for the benefit of the business owners and not for the customers. After saying that, I can say that the Walmart in Shelton, Ct. has degenerated so much in the past couple of years that I have to write a review. I live close to Walmart, so it's convenient. But today I decided to try a few items of clothing on. The women's dressing rooms were so filthy dirty with sand, dust, dirt, you name it plus quite a few large dark gray dusty dirt balls just sitting there along the sides of the stall. I would never consider taking off my shoes there. It's awful and I'd never take my mother or children in there to change. I complained to the woman working that department then when I got home called the 'front end' manager Jennifer. She was very unconcerned as though she's heard it many times before. I also sent an email to Walmart headquarters. In the future, when I want to try on some clothes to buy, I'll drive the extra miles to Target or right down the street to either TJMaxx or Dress Barn.
