4.6.24 I frequent this store very often. I thought for sure I had reviewed this Aldis. So here we go. Love this Aldi. They're usually well stocked. The store is always kept clean even when they're stocking shelves. The cashiers are not very outgoing but they don't have bad attitudes either. They just do their thing and plug along ringing up my groceries. The quality of the food is very good with decent prices as we usually expect to get from any Aldi. There is a huge parking lot and ruining store is located right off of the Pershing Drive exit off of route 8 north. There are plenty of other stores nearby where you can stop and pick up your favorite coffee drink at s bucks, or p nera both located right next to this store within walking distance. A very tidy store with no complaints on my end. This is the store where I purchased my first cauliflower pizza that Suzanne turned me onto. It was pretty good quality. read more

I hate grocery shopping but had a really good experience here. My son was having a meltdown in line and the cashier Jay or Jake or Jason, I can't remember his name. He was so funny and made my son laugh and was really speedy getting us out of there. Wish they could have bagged my items but I understand and I appreciate how much cheaper items that I needed were. Aldi is a great store to buy groceries at a cheaper price and save a couple bucks in your pocket. Food items are really expensive but Aldi may have cheaper items than your regular grocery store. I don't buy my meats from here but I do purchase snacks, pantry items, fruits , vegetables, and I even went shopping for Christmas one year. The staff are always nice, fast, and efficient. read more

The white slim girl as a manager, or may be just a worker, is a best part of ALDI. Always smiling and very polite girl, very professional and hard working person. It is always very enjoyable to come to ALDI when she is there. We have seen absolutely opposite today when we have met absolutely different female at a check out when she had a ridiculous request not to put items on a transport in a very rude form. Great prices on most items. I don't mind paying .25 for a cart, it keeps the parking lot free from a rolling disaster. The produce needs to be upgraded, it's not appealing at all. Also, the selection is limited. However, the organic dairy selection is good along with their salmon! There needs to be an express line especially late in the day. Overall the store is clean & great for certain items. Every time I go I try something new! read more

The only reason I gave it four stars is because sometimes the produce is definitely not as wide a selection and gloriously arrayed as the other larger local grocery stores. It is adequate, and the price is good. I'm amazed at how they pack such a good selection in such a small space. I do wish they had a larger selection of frozen organic fruits and vegetables, but Stop&Shop and ShopRite are neighbors to Aldi's, so hop over there for frozen organic fruits and veggies. I always get boxes of their low-priced organic spaghetti and linguine, and organic spaghetti sauce. They also have a well-priced organic soft sprouted loaf of bread. I like the low prices on their soups and their canned foods - you can skip the local Dollar store. But wait, they also have classy condiments and sauces and little delectables from savory to sweet for the foodies and food snobs. And they sell at what goes for double the price elsewhere, glass bottles of "not from concentrate" fruit juices, including pomegranate. I think the quarter in the cart system is quaint and it's kind of endearing when someone offers you their cart without taking the quarter out, and then walks away. I've never had to wait in a long line. The cashier is always quick to call in for another cashier. A cashier told me they are graded on how fast they scan and place the items in the cart. I noticed that cashiers come and go and only one or two have stayed since I started going there, so it must be tough on them. Staff are quick - once they ran out of cucumbers and I asked and he quickly went into the back and within a few minutes loaded the bin with fresh cucumbers. If you are a vegetarian (eat real uncooked fruits and vegetables) then you don't want to come here except maybe for a few low-priced staples.....But you CAN do it, if you are on a small budget. read more

Aldi's has saved our budget. Most items are half the price of their competitors. They have some "special buys" that are just amazing, like authentic German strudel cake. We typically do most of the shopping for meat and essentials at Aldi's and only buy a few items at other stores. They have nearly everything on our list. They take credit and debit cards, and while they do not provide plastic bags, reusable shopping bags can be purchased for a dollar, and they are very sturdy. Bring a quarter for the shopping cart security device. read more

I have walked out of Aldi's with a cart filled to the brim to feed a family of 5, including a week's worth of meat for $170. ($250 at Stop&Shop) Aldi now accepts credit cards, as well as cash and debit. GREAT SELECTION of GLUTEN FREE foods. FROZEN: chicken nuggets, ravioli, pocket sandwiches, pancakes. ON SHELF: bread, wraps, cookies, crackers, breakfast bars, pastas, mac & cheese, mixes for cookies, pizza dough, muffins and gf flour. ALL AT REASONABLE PRICES. If you have Celiac disease in your family, you know how expensive these things can be at supermarket or health food store. If you have kids: great selection of kid friendly school snacks; individual chips, apple sauces, fruit leathers, trail mix, cookies, crackers. My family has always given a thumbs up to the taste and quality of their meats and dairy. There are a few items that are so-so. Their organic apples can be mealy/old/bruised. (Organic bananas are always good.) And the organic produce offered is a gamble.. not always fresh or in good condition. read more

Best Grocery Store Ever!!! This is were I do 95% of my shopping!! And that's only because they don't carry my brand of dog food. Very clean! Great, friendly, helpful staff! Amazing prices! Wonderful fresh produce and cuts of meats!! "Renting" a shopping cart is genius!! No carts in the parking lot that could damage a car. Not a huge selection of name brands but try their items. They are better but if not you can get your money back and get another item free!! They are the best!!!! read more

First of all...I should start by saying I ran in for just a couple of quick items (actually could/did carry the 3 items in my hands)...so I didn't see EVERY price/thing but.... This place is ok for quick pick up of various food items. I personally don't think I'll do a "complete" food shopping here bcuz of a few reasons...no particular order...you must "rent" your carriage for 25 cents..which isn't much, but can be a pain if you happen to have NO CASH!! Also, you should know: they don't take credit cards or checks..I asked why.."to keep costs down (them not having to pay the hefty credit card processing fees)..they pass that savings to their customers, bring your own bags..as they do charge per bag: paper/$0.06 plastic/$0.10. It's a small store VERY CLEAN!!! They don't have a ton of name brands (as of yet) they do have "creme filled chocolate cookies" (oreo type) for $1.69 (this week) & many others like that. They've got the right idea..low costs, clean store, friendly workers, etc. I imagine this place will be a "shock" for many in the area..most ppl in this area aren't accustomed to this type of store..not to say that they can't/won't make it..but it'll take some time..ESPECIALLY in THIS shopping center...it seems like EVERYTHING that has EVER been in this shopping center...FAILS...but hopefully this place will be ok!! Good store, think this one carries less than west haven though. For example, I don't think they carry organic grapes and I think variety is limited on some items. Nice customer service. read more

Their prices are by far the best in the area. Most of the produce is not big brand companies but, due to my budget, I don't mind off-brands/ small brands if it means saving money. Their meat section also has good pricing. You have to rent their carts for a quarter, which doesn't make sense to me. If someone really wanted to steal a cart they will be leaving with it. Quarter or no quarter. I guess the most it does is create incentive to bring the carts back instead of leaving them in the store. They are very environmentally friendly, so when you go to shop be sure to bring your own bags. The staff is friendly and the overall store is somewhat small but very clean. read more

Two stars has more to do with lack of staff than anything else. Not just for this Aldi but for most that I have been in. Last few times I have been there, no matter what day or time of day there is only one check out person working, so if you have just a few things you get stuck behind someone with a full cart. Don't understand it as I always see signs that "they are hiring" but never see additional staff when needed. read more

We have gone to this Aldi's for a LONG TIME, We used to love it and the employees there. Since the reopening we haven't been happy AT ALL with the service of some of their new employees. The check out line SHOULD be dealt with better and NEEDS TO BE FIXED, because these new employees SLAM everything in the cart extremely hard and don't care about damaging your product you've just bought.... They don't even look to where they are throwing they just toss every in there like it's nothing.... All my fruits and vegetables are bruised upon exit now. I don't want these employees handling products that I am supposed to be buying if they're going to just throw them in a cart as fast as they can. My delicate products like bread, eggs, and vegetables have mostly become damaged due to these new resent employees. We have store brand bags to carry our items out of the store (since they are not provided), the check out attendant (this time it was "Byran", who loves to check his watch more than the items of customers) asked me to remove all my items from the bags so he didn't have to (IN HIS WORDS) and then LeBron James them into our cart, not even back into the bags. Something has to be done about the check out service. 1 open lane, 5 lanes closed. read more
