Just got a delivery and they were super pleasant. I placed my order online on Easter and got a Tuesday delivery. They ran out of stock an one of the three items. My favorite thing about this store is their large selection of inexpensive wine. I have bought bottles for $2.99. True, when you buy inexpensive wine, sometimes it tastes inexpensive, but not all the time. I love being able to stock up my wine rack with 8 bottles for less than $48! read more

Holy crap!!! I found Connecticut's most expensive beer store. $7.99 plus tax and deposits as of January 2019 for Miller Lite 6 pack I travel the state and its my beer of choice and I have a good handle on prices. This place should be ashamed charging us those price. read more

I go to Bevmax most of the time I get alcohol or wine as they have a great selection and very friendly staff. Today, I purchased w bottle of wine and a bottle of vodka. When I got home the bag broke and the wine bottle broke, but not the vodka. I called to see if maybe the store could comp me a bottle for the one that broke, or maybe give me a discount - something as a gesture because clearly they don't need to do anything for me. The person that answered was understanding and said she'd see what she could do and spoke to the manager. The manager quickly responded with a "sure, come in and we can give you another bottle of wine, just bring the bottle. How awesome was this?! I could not be happier with Bevmax as they clearly know how to service their customers! read more

If I can give this store 0 stars I would, I am from outside the area.. not from norwalk.. I walked into this dump without a mask on. it was an honest mistake, instead of the lady asking me nicely to please put a mask on I was litteraly screamed at at the top of lungs, the lady screamed YOU NEED TO PUT ON A MASK ITS MANDATED. As there was another maskless lady walking past us. I was 100% discrimated against because I looked younger. I then told the lady i don't need to be scolded and told what to do, she stormed to the back to obv get a manager who clearly didn't do anything and must of told her to mind her bussiness. places like this shoukd not have power hungry maniacs working for them. she was extremly unprofessional and tried to act like she was the owner or the mask police. the sad part is I continued to shop and gave this dump my money which I highly regret. While the prices are very competitive and the spirit selection is large the wine department lacks in this store. Additionally, the managers seem disinterested in assisting their customers and have little product knowledge. Two weeks ago I asked one of the managers to special order a few bottles of wine for me. He took down my information and said that the items would come in by the end of the week and he would call me as soon as they came in. I have yet to get a call back from them. I guess next time I'll take my business to a store that appreciates their customers. read more

I consistently get excellent customer service when I go to Bevmax on Westport Avenue. They have a wide selection of alcohol and if they don't have what you're looking for they will special order it for you, happily. The staff is personable, knowledgeable and willing to help. I received spectacular customer service from Rich just today and I was blown away by his kindness, patience and service. I would rather go here than total wines. I would rather go here than stew leonards. I would rather go here than al's.The prices are on par with other stores, if not better. I've been shopping here for nine years with nary an issue. I feel like a valued customer when I shop here. Bevmax is with out a doubt worth your time and your money. read more

Bevmax definitely has the lowest price in Fairfield County, a large variety of spirits, beers and wine makes it a one stop liquor store, they also will take all your recyclable bottles back as long as you buy it there. So, next time you having an event or personal party I recommend you to this store, staff and managers are awesome and well knowledgeable. read more

big liquor store. ok beer and cider selection but nothing that i found to be exceptional. minimal single beer and cider offerings. staff was in the midst of some sort of disagreement when i was there and there was a bit of bickering. prices seemed ok but not hella cheap. parking lot is big. traffic lot makes getting back onto post road easy. read more

This is a large terrific package store. They always have a great selection and price range of wine, beer and spirits. But what really makes it the best store in the area is the staff. Because of the Covid19 pandemic and statewide shutdowns, my wife and I were reluctant to go out shopping last weekend when we knew the stores would be crowded. I was having difficulty ordering a delivery through their website so I called the store. Two terrific managers, Paul Nelson at the Norwalk store and Isaac Berkoff who works at the BevMax head office in Stamford really understood and sympathized with our situation and went out of their way to help us. They took our order over the phone and then arranged for a special driver to deliver it. Under the present stressful circumstances, it was the epitome of great customer service and really showed they cared about people and the community -something that's become harder and harder to find, especially in this age of big box stores. From now on it's the only package store for us in the area. read more
