I had called to transfer a prescription from Boston, MA to Rutland, VT since I was up at our place in Vermont. What a mistake. Is Rutland full of incompetent, uneducated deplorables? When I called to speak with the so called pharmacist about the status of the prescription, all I got was an attitude and "do not be rude to me". Really??? If this person had said this anywhere else, they would be terminated immediately. Perhaps I should go in and buy the place and let them all go.

Each time I've been there I've…read morehad to wait 20 minutes to a half hour - either on line or my prescription isn't ready when promised. But today was special as I found out how they treat their customers. When they can't completely fill your prescription, they charge you a copay for half. Fine. But when you come for the rest of your prescription a few weeks later, they charge you another copay. That's called gouging and this pharmacy and the owner should be ashamed of themselves. I'm glad I'm not a senior (yet)! The place is filthy with grime and stains around the door handles. Parking is also a nightmare. Just an overall dump and Ill be moving all our prescriptions as soon as possible.

They make an attempt to know their customers, help out-of-towners, and help people get the meds they need quickly. Additionally, they run toy drives and other events that help the community.

The pharmacy seemed to be the most staffed part of the store, there were more behind the counter than any place else in the store. That's partly because of all the unmanned self-checkout kiosks in the front, somewhat crowded with a lot of other displays, service counters, and devices, many of which had "out of order" signs on them. The dark colored carpet and the dim lights add to the dreariness.

These two caring humans could not have been more helpful and educational as well. They were just as pleasant when I showed up in the store. I had the bet possible experience and felt I needed to post this review as the last one on Yelp was from 6 years ago! i've tried to support this locally owned pharmacy, but i give up. last week, i went to pick up a…read morescrip that my dr's office faxed the day before. i was feeling very poorly. the young man at the counter seemed intent on making it as difficult a process as possible. first, he told me the script had not been sent. (note: the dr's office had a receipt....) i called the dr's office but he insisted that the dr had to call him directly; he refused to speak to her on my phone (ok, i get that....) or to call her himself. the dr did as instructed. twenty minutes (yes, count them) later, the pharmacist told me that did not have the rx in stock! on the verge of tears, i asked that she transfer the script to riteaid, and they ultimately agreed. the whole process took about 3o minutes and was a total waste of my time. i'll go straigt to the well stocked chain that actually receives and records faxes promptly next time....

Unfortunately, the terrible reviews are true. While the CVS itself has a great supply of things you…read moremight need, everything from deodorant to leggings, the pharmacy is a disaster. They don't hire enough staff to help them, so they can never meet the demand. There is always a long line down the aisles of sick people coughing and looking miserable. The people who work here are very kind,l - they just cannot keep up because there are enough of them, and they are overworked. If you designate this CVS as your pharmacy of choice, make sure to bring a mask and magazines to prepare for the long wait.
