And one of these important facets is two pharmacies coexisting in town. Roberts-Scarlett Pharmacy occupies a relatively small footprint in one of the iconic strip malls in town, yet every square foot is used to service the customer. Service is superb, always a smile from the attendants, always a recommendation, and then in the back, attentive pharmacists who will answer any questions. Their product selection is quite varied, especially on orthopedics, vitamins, cold/flu stuff, and the like. All of it reasonably priced, providing great value to the customer. And by the way, it is the only pharmacy in the area that takes Tricare, the military/veteran prescription network. Truly an important presence in the community.

The staff from front to back seems exceptionally well trained, not only individually, but as a team. The pharmacists and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and professional. They call if there is a question or concern, answer inquiries promptly, and manage peak times with grace. Not only is it a great pharmacy, it's a fun place to shop with unique clothing (!!), a nice selection of greeting cards, confections I love but don't readily find elsewhere, and seasonal items like garden decor, beachside accessories (including flip flops), and even housewares and locally made candles. They have a nice little snack center, too. In terms of price, you won't save money shopping here, but it will save you time, and you never know what you will find, which makes it a fun place to shop. Also, great parking, which is something you can't say about a lot of places in this region. I really enjoy being a customer here.

I might have wondered if my doctor forgot to call it in, but this has happened each time I've had to use Colonial- and from 3 different doctor's and dentist's offices. I felt I was being seen as a bother- as many others of have said- that my complaint was being dismissed. The person "helping" me gave no apology or explanation. I did not experience any of the kind, friendly, professional service some have noted. I felt an arrogance and dismissiveness from other employees behind the counter as well. Since this experience has happened 3 or more other times, I will go out of my way to avoid having prescriptions filled here. The store itself is, as others have said, an old-fashioned variety store and I love their products. I'm just sorry the pharmacy is so unpleasant to work with.

In contrast to all the above - for large, heavy items - being able to get stuff with free shipping right to the house via Fedex is great for us as this store is an hour+ to drive to for groceries & such.
