I came to this location to get a prescription medication for my eye. Later, I was told that they're out of the prescribed medication. I asked if they have alternative meds in stock and requested that they call the doctor to confirm. One hour later, there was no update on any info : did they find an alternative med? And were they able to contact the doctor? So I came to the window to ask and reply I got was "we're trying to work on it." Time had passed and still no medication. To expedite the process, I decided to make the call myself. I asked EMILY, the pharmacist, if she needed to talk to my doctor who was on the phone w me. She didn't want to. I understandI. Alternatively, I asked her to call his direct number so she didn't have to go through operators. She didn't want to either. I asked if she wanted the doctor to call the pharmacy instead. She seemed to be annoyed at every single thing I suggested. I was trying to help her. So I left and went to the grocery section. More time had passed and I was getting anxious about the long delay. I've practically gone through all of Walmart's aisles and had nothing left to see or do at that point. After more than an hour, I went back again to check. Emily and her staff felt annoyed that I was back at their window to simply follow up. So here's the bottom line - they don't give updates on your prescription unless you keep going back and forth, to which they find annoying. Is one hour an acceptable wait time on the average? Any effort to follow up on your prescription is unwelcomed. They don't like your "outside the box" suggestions even if it helps them. Apparently, an irate approach seems to work for them as that's how they behave towards customers who so much as peek-in or ask. I'd say service is poor - no update, no explanation, no apology, not even a smile. People here seem to be unhappy in general. That is very unfortunate as sick customers who are already in a state of discomfort just seek to feel well. The hope of a quick run to get our meds obviously do not happen in Walmart but one thing we don't deserve is an annoyed snare and a bad attitude from the pharmacist. read more
