Surprisingly large considering it's not a super Wal-Mart. There are three entrances across the front of the store. The food section was also bigger then the typical Wal-Mart but again, not the full selection of the super store.. Was not that impressed with the clothing section. This was another store that I was looking for some Jets logo merchandise for my baby girl. Here it is, the beginning of November and there is a full assortment of baseball clothing but no football. What gives? We took a walk to the Site To Store area for use of the restrooms. The counter had merchandise stacked high and wide. Not an inviting site. read more

This Walmart ranks at the lower end of the scale. Employees move at the pace of a snail. If you think the McDonalds inside is any better, the "Walmart Way" has rubbed off onto them too. Best to carry cash as the cashiers are not the best at handling a non cash transactions. The Customer Service desk has it half right- there are customers there but there's no service. Absolutely one of the worst customer service counters in any of their locations throughout the country. Generally they never pick up the phone and just keep people on hold. Hold on for 5 minutes and 9 seconds (no one ever picked up from the time I was dumped on hold) just now which reminded me about a recent bad experience there and decided to post a negative review. Today, Sunday, May 23, 2021, I had needed spray paint that was apparently very hard to come by in the desired color. Your website said it had only 6 cans left. My husband ran over, and on his way, I called to have someone there hold it for him. First, I was put on hold by a woman for 10 minutes. I hung up, and called back. Call answered by the same woman who said nothing but to please hold. Then a guy answers totally out of breath. I told him the situation, and said my husband is there now. He told me he just got back from the paint isle and asked why I thought there was any left. I told him the website said in red letters that there were 6 left. He goes on to tell me that the website is about a week to two weeks off in time. Are you kidding me?? He said to complain to management, as the website isn't accurate. P.S., my husband never had any help, and bought the 6 cans left. Now the website says two cans left. NUMBER 1: Step up on who you hire. NUMBER 2: Fix your website. NOT GOOD AT ALL!!! read more

I have to say, I'm quite appalled with the return policies here. We purchased printer ink for our printer at home 2 weeks ago, and the associate apparently had given us the wrong one. Well, printer runs out of ink this morning so I go to change the cartridges and realize they are not the right ones. So after work I go to the store and they can't take it back because it was open. Uh, how do you think we realized the cartridges weren't correct? Your sales associate gave us the wrong one, and we did ask for cartridges for the make and model of the printer in question. But without a receipt because it's open they can't do anything. All I kept hearing was I'm sorry, maybe if you find the receipt (and let's be real, how many people hold onto a receipt after a couple of weeks) and speak to a manager they MIGHT be able to give you a store credit. You spent $64 on this, that's a lot of money. Well no f-ing sh!t that's a lot of money, and it's a lot of money going in the trash because I can't even exchange it. So thanks for absolutely nothing Walmart. My hard earned money is going in the trash. read more

I am not usually a huge fan of Walmart for many a reason. However I will shop there for certain items (cereal, milk, face wash, tampons, sweat pants for my toddler,) that ate pricier else where. This particular Walmart is disgusting! I don't expect anything extravagant..its Walmart...but I do expect a sanitary store and this one is not. There's constantly empty food wrappers shoved between items (clothing items!) and I have seen workers walk right past it. It also looks like a herd of cattle has just ran through the place as everything is always in disarray. The employees are nice and polite, but always have this intense sadness in their eyes and speak in a monotone of misery which really is heart wrenching. I think it has to do partly with their work environment. I live right by here and yet I will drive over to setauket to go to the Walmart there. read more

I HATE that this is the closest Walmart to my house. Store is a mess. Price labels and products are in the wrong spot so I have to scan everything. They need more convenient price scanners. The lines in this store were always ATROCIOUS. No matter what time of day I would go. It was a smart move to put self scanners in this store. Might save them some business. read more

Walmart Centereach now carries Pure Life 5gal water jugs. Be aware that unlike all the other stores they do not give you the $5 deposit back if you return the jug like all the other businesses in the area. You can only use the deposit toward the next 5gal purchase. I unfortunately made the mistake of buying too many over a few weeks. Walmart said it was Pure life that is charging for it, when I called pure Life they said it was Walmart. read more

Everytime I go in there or even call in I am treated with aggression, annoyance and to top it off incompetence. I work in customer service and would never dream of trying to make people feel stupid or acting nasty. It's painful to even go in there, they're just so nasty and I've never gone out of my way to write a review EVER! Nightmarish experience trying to BUY A GRILL from Walmart. Simple, you may think. Ordered online for in-store pickup on June 1. Need it for an event on June 3. June 1 comes, and I get an email saying it will be ready June 2. June 2 come and I get an email saying it's STILL not ready. I try to call the store. Get switched from department to department to department. Put on hold. Ignored. The FIFTH person I spoke to said the only way I could get help is to call WALMART CORPORATE. Walmart Corporate put me on hold and transferred me to a "helper." The "helper" has put me on hold again. For those of you keeping score, she is now the SEVENTH person I am speaking to. Or was. It's the one stop shopping concept, they have everything from Spam to Blue Ray players at very good prices. High volume store, very busy during the weekends and holidays. Staff does a great job of keeping the store in order despite the hoards of people. Now the negative: Being that the store sells food, specifically refrigerated food, moisture accumulates on the counters. Everything from milk to who knows what ends up smeared on those counters. You find a nice dress or a nice shirt and it gets passed over this dirty, damp scanner. You can see the moisture and smears on the counters from 8 feet away, nevertheless I have never seen a cashier clean them.. It's disgusting. To be fair, it would be quite a chore to constantly keep the counter clean. Maybe a separate set of counters for "clothes only" may be a partial solution for those who just want to buy a few clothes and not have them soiled before you even wear them. read more

I brought two tires last year with roadside hazards. I had a blow out after numerous times telling the tech that I was having tire problem. The tech was rude and nasty. After a brief argument, the tech spoke to the manager (supposedly) it was covered by the hazards warranty. Never again I will by anything from walmart. read more

I have to say, I was very impressed by the level of customer service here. I decided to wake up early to go shopping, and boy am I happy I dragged myself out of bed. I ended up browsing in the women's clothing section and ran into Penny. She was so sweet and patient helping me pick out a new outfit for a job interview, just a gem! Gave me such a confidence boost for the day, and really made an impact on my morning as well! Then once she helped me pick out the outfit, she proceedes to walk with me to the register to make sure all my tags were off, and gave me advice on pantyhose.. She was the best! Sometimes it's easy to forget when you're treated this well..not over here! I am absolutely stunned was shocked, they have a lot to be proud of too because I was born upstate where they basically have walmarts within a 20 mile radius everywhere.. I hadn't had associates that were this attentive and sweet in years. Plus as I got to the register, this other associate Jacqueline was also so nice and we had a pleasant conversation. Overall this hiring manager really knows what they are doing. Keep up the good work. This Walmart I absolutely made my day and week! read more

I stopped in to get a gift. A go-pro. the manager at electronics l think her name is Shannon. She keened making faces when helping me. I guess was she upset she had to help me. I said sorry bother her. I just needed a cameras. she grabbed one from be-hide the the first one she went out of her way to grab the used one that was on display I didn't realize until I gave the gift. I was embarrassed. I will never buy anything over 100 dollars especially electronics Im returning it asap. she even knew to remind me about the return policy. knowing I would be returning the used 4 hundred dollar camera she try to scam me with. I realized she gave me a different camera then what i pointed to because i sent a pic of the camera to some one then after i seen it was use and scratched i looked at the pic and noticed it wasn't the same camera i asked for you can tell from the box. I will be returning it already bought a new one at best buy. read more

If you all are so bend up about shopping at Walmart then go spend your money somewhere else. I was using CVS pharmacy for my husband and my meds. He and I both have a heart condition.( and no we are not old nor on welfare ) we recently lost our insurance and were paying over $800 a month for our meds. I heard Walmart pharmacy was much cheaper so I decided to give them a shot. The savings were incredible! I now pay )$180 every Three months for the SAME meds ! The pharmacy staff is always nice and take me right away. They call the dr for refills with no questions asked. One time I got there at 5 min to close and they filled my script while I waited. Walmart is always clean and well stocked and the prices of everything in the store are much lower than any pharmacy or food store. If the employees are slow maybe it's because they may have a slight learning disability. So freaking what! I commend Walmart for hiring them. The mall and upscale stores certainly don't . As of August 2015, Walmart has the best Yugs. As an avid shopper at this Walmart, I've seen a lot of unforgettable people. This one guy walked through the doors as the shop lifting alarm went off and he moon walked back through it and said, "It wasssn't me." I can almost guarantee you'll get to see a mother crash a baby into the end of an aisle every visit. The best part about this Walmart is a well-hidden secret by the corporation. I made many trips to the Centereach Walmart and the East Setauket branch over a few years for comparison and the cerntereach one wins by a big gap. The East Setauket Walmart is terrible at stocking products. They never have things in stock. I go back there week after week and still no stock or very low (1-2). It is also very messy the products fail to be placed over the correct price labels and things are scattered and it's just a total mess. There are never employees around to help and customer service are lazy and rude. The photo center/ site to store is horrible there is almost never anyone there and the photo quality is terrible. Centereach walmart almost never has any of those issues so I definitely prefer going there even though it's a longer drive for me. read more
