I would recommend trying Luna Donut if you liked the original donut star off cliff road that Mark or Jill owned several years ago then you will like everything about this classic donut place. It is worth a drive if you live in the south metro. Owning an independent donut shop is a labor of love and all about the local community. My family was fortunate enough to continue Marks legacy and have that experience while we owned the original Donuu Star several years ago. I plan to visit this local gem on a regular basis and hope you give them a try.

I…read morethought I would try the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake flavor since it sounded delicious but not sure how a cookie could be dry and crumbly yet taste raw at the same time. The frosting on there is too sweet and glopped on too thick and has a pastey texture. The raspberry jam was tart but even sweeter than the frosting. All combined in one bite was way too much sweetness. Every time I've had crumbl it's always been bad and yet I still think the new flavors will be better but it keeps getting worse. Not sure why people keep buying these cookies. Even grocery stores and gas stations have better cookies. Walking in there were two employees there and yet nobody greeted me but they did look and stare at me. Nobody else was in there so they were quick to pack up my cookie. Disappointed there wasn't even a public bathroom there! Just a place to pick up and get out. Not the greatest welcome. Kiosk to order is hidden but easy to order on but not easy if you want to use cash, not even sure if that's an option since nobody was around to help.

Cupcake is located in a large plaza. You can't miss the signage of a huge cupcake in blue and pink. I parked in one of the curbside pickup spots. I was picking up a takeout order and felt that it was fine. While waiting for a nice woman to fetch my order, I was looking at the desserts. This place has ice cream, macarons, and lots of baked goods. The chocolate croissant caught my attention. I knew that I needed to get one. When the woman returned with my Mason Jar Kitchen order, I asked if I could get the chocolate croissant. Yes! She got me one and placed it in a paper bag. I paid with a credit card. I also managed to include a tip. It was straightforward. I thanked the woman and headed back to the hotel to have lunch. I had the chocolate croissant as an afternoon snack. The croissant was okay. It was buttery, but it wasn't as flaky has I had hoped. It was more dense like a paperweight. I wanted flaky and airy. The chocolate was yummy. I prefer dark chocolate and loved it. I feel the need to go back and consume more items. The cakes and cheesecakes looked yummy. I was too early to take advantage of 50% off all pastries after 3 pm. I need to come back after this time and see if I can find a pastry that wows me. (459)

My friend and I headed out to Kyiv to check it out after having coffee, to our surprise they actually serve coffee here as well, which would pair great with some of the desserts and pastries. They had 4 flavors of mousse cakes available; strawberry, mango, black current & raspberry. They also had a variety of cakes and such available as well. Honestly all of it looked really good. We decided to stick to trying the mouse cakes and got all 4 flavors. Staff were extremely nice and patient. They only have 1 table inside and a few outside (sidewalk patio). We sat inside and tried the cakes. First of all they look way too pretty and realistic to eat. The first bites we took were mostly the mousse we didn't even know they had fillings until we got the second one. The cakes are semi sweet which was perfect because we just had sugary coffee drinks. The fillings inside made them amazing, like I could eat these everyday! My fav was the raspberry and then the black currant but they were all good. I'm glad we got to check them out & we will be back again.
