They always go above and beyond. The cakes themselves are huge and taste homemade! So incredibly delicious and not overly sweet like the big box stores. I love the vanilla bean flavor and buttercream frosting with raspberry jam in the middle. Always a classic combo. My husband usually does the pick ups and he said the service is great. I can't speak to the ambiance since I haven't been in there yet physically. I do love the other cookies and treats my husband has brought back from them before.

Truthfully, I was on the hunt for a bathroom, but was more than willing to grab a sweet treat while we were there. I had already peeked at what people were enjoying out on the patio, and on such a perfect spring day, it was hard to pass up. We ended up trying a few macarons. They were beautifully displayed and there were so many flavors to choose from. We had a family dinner later that day, so they felt like a great option to bring along. We stopped in closer to 1pm so I'm guessing the selection of donuts and cakes was a bit picked over compared to the morning hours. That said, they still have a good variety and I would definitely go back earlier in the day to try one of those donuts! We had a few questions about how the macarons would hold up in a warmer car, and the employee helping us was happy to answer everything. It seemed like the owner was there as well and heading out for the day. She was very kind, especially to let us use the bathroom. One quick note, Google shows Amy's Cupcake Shoppe as permanently closed, so they may want to look into updating that. Overall, a really great stop and one I'm glad I stumbled into - those usually are the best!

The person behind the counter was very nice and was able to answer a couple questions I had about the macaroons. Thats what we got, some macaroons. Also on the menu was donuts, cupcakes, and even regular cakes (even though they were sold out for the day) Definitely worth the stop anytime youre in downtown Hopkins. And PS, they do have a bathroom!

Leighana said it was no problem and guests loved the variety. Would definitely get a cake from this company again!

The owner, Whitney, sells a most unusual dessert - pie in a jar. Yep, it's a fresh pie cooked in a jar. I got the peach cobbler, which happens to be gluten free, but sure tastes like a regular pie. The peaches are so juicy, and the texture is amazing: bits of crumbly crust, jumbled among pockets of yumminess. The jar was warm when I picked it up, so I asked if she had microwaved it. Nope. It's warm because she had just made it an hour ago. No wonder it tastes so fresh. But how did she get the crust to stay crumbly like that?? I cannot pretend to understand the physics of jarred cobbler, and why it is better than a regular cobbler baked in a pan, but I vow to spread the word about this amazing category of food.
