I only got 30 thousand before there was no tread on them. Won't name the tire company but apparently they had lots of problems with this particular tire. John and his crew made this situation right for me. I have been going the City Tire for 20 years, and due to their customer service and commitment to having happy customers will be a local customer for many more years to come.

Manager said, come on in, anytime, despite my wanting to make an appointment. Next day, I show up at 11:30a, said I was the guy who called asking to make an appointment for a balancing. All of the staff were at max capacity, and manger was looking a bit frazzled. Manager recognized me by my intro. I said, "I'll bet you wish you.." and he finished my sentence: "wished I hadn't told you to come in anytime?" We both chuckled, and he said, "let me see what I can do." He popped his head into the shop, and within seconds, said, "I've got you." Fifteen minutes later, a tech popped out of the shop and asked if my wheels had EVER been balanced, because there was no sign of any weights ever having been there (alloy rims). I said that I was surprised, because Costco had done the install six years earlier, and I had never had problems with their work before. Needless to say, they now ride super smooth, and I have complete respect for the manager and technicians. Highly recommend.

This Estimate documented the need for the following replacements: (1) the oil pressure switch, thermostat housing, and power steering pump. On 4/10/2019, Rich replaced the oil pressure switch and thermostat housing. Immediately upon return of the Mustang, the oil-pressure gauge began to intermittently shift from E to F and the dashboard oil-pressure icon illuminated as well. On 4/15/19, the Mustang was returned to Rich's, to remedy the issues of the gauge shift and icon illumination. Bethany Silvia informed me that the problem remained and the condition of the Mustang was my responsibility. On 5/10/19, my wife was driving home, during which the Mustang began a "rat-tat-tat" sound that gained volume. She was less than a mile from Rich's and managed to drive there safely. On 5/14/19, I was informed by Rich that there was a problem with the Mustang "deep in the engine." I then picked up the car from Rich's and drove the Mustang across the street to Karns Automotive Sales & Service, for a second opinion. On 5/15/19, Dan Karns called and indicated the cause of the loud engine noise was the fact that there was no oil in the engine and no reading on the dip stick. Dan added five quarts of oil. The internal noise persists, and the car cannot be driven. A new engine is needed.

I brought my truck to the Old Saybrook Town Fair Tire 3 times to have them do an alignment. The…read morefirst time they got my steering rack boots all twisted up and my steering wheel was cocked to the right. I brought it back to them that day, they told me they couldn't fix it, and sent me to another (non TFT) shop to fix it on their dime. The 3rd time I brought it to them to redo the alignment, my steering wheel was cocked way to the left and they also left the passenger side jamb nut loose on my steering rack, making it relatively unsafe to drive my truck. At that point I had lost all trust in the Old Saybrook TFT. I called the New London TFT and they were able to get me in that day for a realignment. There were many notable differences between the New London and the Old Saybrook TFT which makes the NL one much more desirable. 1. The techs at the NL location took more than twice the amount of time with my truck. I'm not sure if it's because they had to undo what Old Saybrook did, but it definitely showed me they were more attentive to my truck and safety. 2. The tech was able to not only fix my steering, but fixed the camber/caster of my front wheels (which OS said I needed to replace parts to fix) 3. They didn't charge me anything since they were fixing what another TFT messed up. At this point, I almost feel bad I gave my money to OS and wish it had been given to NL in the first place. I've read some reviews and people have complained that it took longer to get their vehicles back. Be thankful that they're taking more time with your vehicle to make sure things are done right. It's sad they had to fix the mistakes of another TFT for my truck, but I will forever be a loyal customer to the New London TFT, even if I have to drive more than twice the distance I'd drive if I were going to the Old Saybrook TFT. If only I knew the name of the tech that worked on my truck, because I'd specifically request that tech to work on my truck in the future when I need it. He was professional, honest, and showed me that my safety was priority after working on my truck. That dude definitely deserves a cold one from me. Life lesson learned: I'm never going back to the Old Saybrook TFT, and all of my future tire and steering needs will be brought to the New London TFT.

I called and spoke to Ryan. He quoted me $130 to mount and balance and dispose of four tires for my truck. When I got there. John stepped in and was very disrespectful and condescending and he said that since I didn't buy the tires there, it was gonna cost $300 in lieu of the $130. John is not a very good manager and I would definitely not recommend doing business with him. It's not the first time I had issues with John. He always tries to upsell and the price always seems to go up with these fees that we were never disclosed upon initial quote. If you decide to do business with John make sure you get it in writing. I will no longer be doing business with Town Fair Tire and whoever chooses to, be careful for the switch and bait.

They told us we would have to call around locally ourselves. We finally talked with a local garage that put us in touch with Rob.
