The very next day I took the car to a different place and what do you know it passed the test. moral of the story they are purposely unplugging sensors so the car throws a code and they can charge you for a diagnostic test and a new sensor.

I've been employed by dealerships for almost 3 decades and Pepboys do exactly what they tell you. No up-sale, no hassle and no scams. Integrity is exactly what it is. I only trust Groton Pepboys for my car and I recommend this shop for everyone else. The only sad thing about about this shop is that the computers and software is outdated and makes communication difficult for staff to customer difficult at times. I can see by experience that they are doing the best thay can with what they have. The app for customers to see if their car is in the shop to when its done doesn't work and its not their fault, its cheap corporate cutbacks. Hopefully corporate will read this review and upgrade the system because its costing them lots of money. Communication is key. No communication, no customers.
