My car is now undriveable. it's been a full week, I've called the store and corporate office a dozen times. They have not offered a solution or refund. what should've been a 1-2 hour tire change turned into me not being able to drive my vehicle for over a week. I have a case opened with corporate office, all they can do is tell me somebody will call me back. nobody does. Do not under any circumstance get any service from Pep Boys.

After hours of trying to find a replacement Tim made a tire to safely get us to his shop. His men took us back roads so as to keep us safe on the drive over there. His team changed the other tire so that the new tire would match for obvious reasons. We were probably in and out within an hour and the charges were beyond reasonable for all the service they provided. After drop off, I received a call from Andy, asking if I wanted to have it inspected while it was here since it was due next month. Gave me a price of $40 for state inspection, and emissions. That is a solid $20 lower than most any other place I've ever had inspections done. He then inquired about my timing belt and water pump (which needs to be changed before 105,000 miles for my Pilot. I told him Honda told me 105,000 miles, so I had a good 10,000 miles before I needed it, and didn't want to shell out the cash just yet. I asked him if he had a quote off the top of his head, since I knew Honda quoted me at $899. His quote was $596!!! More than $300 less!!! I was impressed, and told him that I would see him again in 10,000 more miles. All in all dropped it off at 9am, picked it up at 11:30. Four wheel alignment and wheel balance, state and emissions inspection later..... $191. Best trip I've had at a mechanic yet! I highly recommend!

He looked very unhappy that I had walked through the door. I explained I had an appointment to get an oil change and he leaned in towards me and stated very matter of fact, " not at my place you don't". Flustered I pulled out my phone thinking I got the appointment time wrong. As I was looking through my email confirmation to show him, he explained," we are closing in a half hour and if you think we are doing an oil check on your Car 30 minutes before we close, ... You're wrong" I showed him the confirmation email that I did in fact, have an appointment. His exact words to me were." not trying to be a di*k, but it ain't happening tonight. I don't care if you have a confirmation or not. You don't walk into an establishment, 30 minutes before closing, and say you have an oil change that needs done. Doesn't matter to me when you come back, but you're not getting it done tonight." I explained that we had been loyal customers for almost 9 years with Firestone and he may want to let corporate know that the website permits appointments all the way up until 30 minutes before closing, and that they would be losing a loyal customer. He laughed. He informed me that they did not have any corporate. When I asked to speak to a manager, he snuggly looked at me and leaned in stated that they do not have a manager for me to speak to. I've never been treated so badly at a place... I will never step foot in this Firestone or any other Nine years of being a loyal customer at this Firestone is done as of that day, threemonths ago.

We pulled off and tried to find the nearest auto place but thankfully got lost trying to find it and stumbled upon this Midas. Harry and his team lifted the car and when they checked the tires, found that one of them was severely deflated while the other three had almost two times the amount of air they were supposed to - so if we hit a pothole (it was a miracle that we didn't since we picked up the car in Brooklyn) the tires would have blown up and we would've been completely screwed. Not only did he rotate the tires and make sure we were safely on our way, he didn't charge us anything and wrote up something for us to give the rental car place to tell them to give us a discount, which they did. I was informed that my vehicle required several repairs, including a thermostat with housing, water outlet housing, Autolite double platinum spark plugs, ignition coil packs, a DEX FS maintenance package, 5W30 full synthetic Dexos oil, and an oil filter, totaling $1,033.43 after parts and labor. I was advised that I needed to drive my car for 50 miles to reset the engine codes before it could be inspected. However, when I returned for the inspection on August 5, I received no updates. After following up, I was informed that the shop was no longer willing to service my vehicle, as it now required a turbo replacement. I expressed my dissatisfaction, especially after having just paid over $1,000, and was told by the manager, John, that it would be best to take the car to a dealership. This was surprising, given that the turbo issue was not mentioned during my initial service. Upon my arrival to retrieve my vehicle, I requested my keys and documentation regarding the work performed, but I was told that no records were available. This lack of communication and transparency prompted me to contact Midas Corporation to report the incident, as I found the situation to be highly questionable.

I visited the optical center for a new pair of glasses. I was aware it was a self serve exam that…read morewas not a comprehensive exam. First off I expect a self serve exam to be just that, self serve. It was not. the associate was right there reading off every direction that was prompted. I can see if I needed assistance but I did not. I moved on to picking glasses which they do not have a big selection and not very much on current styles. I managed to find a pair and that was set. I did purchase progressives and there was zero input on anything about them and if they'd work with progressives. I've only had one pair so I am not versed on what works yet. On day 13 of waiting I called to check on them. Brenda answered my question and stated they came in but they needed to be made again so they are still waiting on them. So no call or notice that they've now had to wait again I then had to ask if she knew around when they might come. She informed me that maybe Monday which was two days from when I called. I stated I guess I'll have to check Monday (Brenda giggled and said I guess so) They came in Monday and I went to pick them up. Danielle handed them to me and I can't even believe any associate felt ok handing them and the way they looked to me. She took an extended amount of time and tried to adjust them but there's no adjusting these frames. Not only are they way too thick to adjust (an associate could have pointed out these issues when I was choosing frames) and the lenses look like bottle caps. She couldn't even make them so they sit straight. It was apparent from beginning to end that anyone there I dealt with was truly only there for a paycheck and did not make buying eye glasses easy. I have now had to order others which had I just done from start I'd have had already. Here we are 3 weeks later and now I have to go through the return process with insurance. If you have to do the eye exam there that's fine but I suggest ordering elsewhere so you can actually have an associate that will assist you so you don't end up with messed up glasses. I was told that the manager was actually ok with giving me these frames. That alone should tell you the kind of care you'll receive which is none. The only thing I'll be returning to the optical center for is to return the poorly made glasses.
