History

Established in 1987.

Lyle's Auto was founded in 1987 by David Lyle in Follansbee, WV. In 1987, Mr. Lyle became a licensed auto dealer and began selling cars in front of his gas station on Eldersville Road in Follansbee, WV. In 1990, Lyles Auto purchased a small piece of land on Route 2 and built a 600 square foot building on it. On average, you could find 10 to 15 used vehicles on this lot. In 2000, Lyle's Auto purchased a lot just a few hundred feet away on Route 2. There are approximately 8,500 square feet, on 3 acres, under roof where Lyle's currently operates. The average inventory is approximately 75 vehicles. You can find 19 local hardworking employees here, including a Sales Team of 7 and a Service Department Team of 12.

Meet the Business Owner: Dave L.

Dave spent nine years in the Banking business before breaking out on his own by purchasing a service station. Eventually he went full time in the auto repair business. In 1987 Dave obtained a license to sell cars and founded what is now Lyle's Auto. In 1990, a location on WV state route 2 was opened and operated for the next 14 years. In 2001, the current location was opened just down the street with approximately 8000 square feet under roof. Dave's approach to auto sales has always been to make the buying process easy and taking care of the customer after the sale.
