I just want to give her perks for being a decent person and trying to run a good company. While I'm still giving this event one star, I think she deserves all five. Attendant checking customers in was hostile when I failed to understand that a stop sign at their facility somehow meant stop and wait in place. I did exactly what I did the last time they changed my oil which was stop at the stop sign and then pull around to the back of the building where the sign said to wait for the attendant. After the attendant checked in two customers that came in behind me, he finally deemed me worthy of attention. At that time he told me that because I wasn't happy to be ignored for 10 minutes while sitting waiting to get my oil changed that I wasn't good enough to have my oil changed at his facility. I will investigate if this is a chain, because if it is, I will complain to corporate. I will also advise everyone I know to please not use this facility. What a jerk! We stopped in and asked them to take a look, and they were able to quickly figure out what the issue was and help us figure out a solution. They had the kind of oil we needed to top us off and most places don't carry it. They even called 3 local parts stores trying to help us find the cap we needed, which Valvoline cracked when they over-tightened it. I was getting my oil changed this morning and during the checks they noticed I had a low beam…read moreheadlight out and ask if I wanted it changed and noted it would not be a quick fix. I said OK and I searched YouTube University to see what it took. Well, 45 minutes, and 3 employees later it was done, and they kept me informed, and I watched, the entire time. They first tried from the top, and that required unbolting the ECM (engine control module) and moving it to the side, and putting your arm/hand in a 5" hole and trying to reach the plug/bulb assembly and turning it. After 2 of them had blood showing they took a different track. They raised my Jeep up on the lift and took off the passenger side front tire AND the inner fender well shield. There was another capped 5" hole in theshield, but they already knew how that worked. And YouTube said to remove the shield. Now they could reach the the plug/bulb assemble by reaching up and then turning their wrist 90 degrees and they could put their fingers on it. Since it had been in their for 6 years and 70,000 miles it was a little stuck, but they finally got it out. Then it took 2 tried to reinstall the new socket/bulb assembly, the first time it was not aligned correctly. Ine note - Engineering school should have classes where Engineers actually have to work on what they design, just saying. Jiffy Lube at 317 W North St, Kendallville, highly recommended.

That's when Chris jumped into action to get me replacement tires asap since no one in town had what we needed. After new tires installed promptly and lube work completed we attempted to drive off only to have the classic die out in the street. Chris and his staff jumped into action to push the car out of the street and back into the shop. Within 5 minutes diagnosed that the fuel pump relay is bad and was able to get new replacement parts and have us on the road quickly. After a friendly and courteous greeting and inquiry re: needs, Matt and his crack team get us in and out in less than 30 minutes -- more like 20, to be exact. From centering to exiting, Matt explains each step of the process; the computer monitor clearly lists the services you are charged for; it also swings around, allowing you to view in real time, who is under your vehicle and what is being done; they are in constant communication with each other, via verbal calls and echo verification. I appreciate how the 3 man team works quickly, efficiently and most importantly safely. I am at ease, knowing that they are paying attention to the tasks in progress, are NOT on their phones, you see/hear them at all times. EVERYONE is safe. Can you tell how important "safety" is?! Especially for these gainfully employed young men who (most definitely are not 'ne'er do wells') showed up for work and have their whole lives ahead of them! If you are asked to turn the vehicle and it's wipers on/off, they provide a reasonable rationale behind it. After the oil is changed, you are shown the new oil level, so you have eyes on it and have confidence in their work. After applying the online coupon, it was $133.73 for Daughter's Sport edition SUV: fluids topped off, filthy air filter changed out, 4qts full synthetic oil, multiple point safety check/verification in under 30 minutes. Pricey? Perhaps, but a more than fair price for SAFE, efficient, no-frills/no-pressure sales pitches. The time saved is WORTH IT!
